Progress is good today. I've finished the first of the Plague Marine Rhinos and started base coating the second.

I actually caught the sun as well so you have some decent pics for a change.

Here we go enjoy

I'm going to try and finish the second Rhino this weekend to get back on schedule but I cant see it myself, might get it finished during the week, we shall see if I'm blessed by papa Nurgle or not.

Disgustingly good. How do you get that patina on your rhino?

Hi Git's its simple old dry brushing in the following order.

vallejo panzer aces dark rust
vallejo panzer aces light rust
vallejo panzer aces yellowish rust

A trusty method I learnt from tipios

I'm having thoughts about re-doing my chosen which can be found way back at the beginning of this thread.

I was going to pull them apart but they have been varnished and I'm not sure how much of a pain its going to be.

I'm not happy with their cloaks anymore (made with GS) they kind of stand out as my modelling skills have improved since then.

I don't even think I'd use cloaks on them now, any thoughts?

Wow got this one painted quickly, Rhino number two is up and ready to roll.

I think that's everything ready for my next event in May. I am planning to do a few things for some bases as I had a few comments from the last event so will be adding some trophies.

Other than that I've been undercoating Sisters, just ordered some bits for my Celestine conversion I have planned.

On the Dark Wolves front I'm waiting on an order to be delivered with my first half of my Wolf Guard which is my next main project to be completed by July. I think its 30 Wolf Guard in terminator armour plus 3 characters in TDA armour as well and a drop pod and 2 Long Fang Squads. Turns out at 2500 points worth

The ooze on the left isn't dry yet, it will take a few days and I couldn't wait that long too show you.

A second update in two days what's going on!

Well let me shed some light. The mini I was talking about yesterday has arrived. Its an Eldar warlock sculpted by an ex GW employee and limited to a run of 50 models. Yep all gone and I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time and put my name down for one.

Pretty nice I think, just need an Eldar army now lol.

Onto other things I've nearly finished work on Abaddon's Mistress the of the Eye of Terror. Once a Terminator of the Emperors Children bound by the loyalties of Slaanesh her favours to Abaddon had no end. Until she stabbed him in the back with his own sword in a night of lust and perversion. She then preceded to take the Black Legion under her wing and strike a new crusade against the Imperium.

I never liked doing fluff stuff so here she is

size comparison, she's huge

Still got some helmets to add to the base and some mold lines to remove.

Cheers Git's no idea when I'm going to pick any more Eldar up, might wait for the next codex.

------------------------------------

I finished Abaddon's Mistress today well I say finished I spent all day painting her. I was going to enter her in the local GW painting competition but I'd like to hear what you have to say first as I'm a bit unsure, if you don't like her I could finish painting the Canoness as well. I know pics aren't great as I had to take them this evening will try to get better ones at some point over the weekend.

It's a very awesome paint job, however I find that her overly thin abdomen is kind of... unusual. I'm not sure if I totally like it or not. The rest is awesome tho.

Thanks tarar, the abdomen is keeping her in-line with the Emperors Children Terminators I've done in the same way.

While doing these conversions I've found that a Dark Eldar Wyche can only just fit in terminator armour if you hollow it out, there is no chance a marine could fit inside

Thanks Selvaggio.

I think the imperium must be doing their bit for a greener universe by reducing the size of their marines to save on materials for building power armour

Well it has been a while since I have dropped in and what progress! I really like the second rhino with the eye, very creepy, your opponent will think it is watching him all through the game! Kind of like a Beholder Rhino! Great work, keep it up! Now I need to get to work on my tournament army and post an update too.

Oh yes and that Eldar model is very cool indeed! Good excuse for starting an Eldar army later.

I've started on the long haul now that is the 30 Wolf Guard in TDA armour. I've finished the first 2 today, I worked out I need to paint 10 models a month to July to have the army finished in time. It may not seem like a lot to most but I'm a very slow painter

Grammatical Nit-pick:
Spoiler:
Saying TDA Armour means Tactical Dreadnought Armour Armour, doesn't make much sense (like saying 'lol out loud' or 'rofl on the floor')

Good stuff man. I like how you're using grey armour instead of blue-grey. Grey looks way better.
