Transfers for the knight was mentioned but no date. Just something like "yeah we know they need released but the person dealing with them is a law unto herself. They will be released soon.

Given their current rate of releases I'd expect book 8 to be next year.

Thank you. I hope it is soon as in like Q2 this year at the latest. :/ Not holding my breath, which is good because if I had I would already have died like a year ago.

Yep, The Leman russ armor making Angron and Horus hit on 6's and the weapon with multiple wound chance absolutely puts him in top place as the most capable primarch in a challenge.

Anybody notice that the SoS transport wouldn't actually be able shut it's doors - seems a bit of a daft design to put the guns where they are... Aside from that, I'm loving all the Custodes and TS stuff. Kinda thinking more and more of starting up one or the other.

Try Magnus with Invisibility, or better yet, Magnus with Iron Arm, Warp Speed and Endurance (or just any two of those).

Magnus is going to be a pure beatstick when a model is released.
Had someone proxy him in a 2.5k game today and the damage he causes is ridiculous.

Watched as they faced off against a knight list and promptly tabled the guy early on turn 3.

The sheer destructive powers magnus can throw around wreck just about anything.
If your running invisibility aswell, good luck.

My only gripe is its easy to spam large amounts of strength D shooting from him alone.
We made a note of damage from a single cast against a knight castigator.
At around 16HP worth of damage we realised he was on the nasty side.

My only worry is with the right powers and a charge farm to support him, him can level a full HP unshielded reaver in a turn with ease.
With invisibility the reaver really can't do anything in return except suck it up.



Due to having 3 TSons legion players in the area I've already worked sisters into my list as a rough defence.
Granted it was a single game, but I wanna see more before I make up my mind.

Yup, would have to be an Imperator Emperor-class Titan- even the weapon configuration matches.

As a Questoris player, I am going to get some of the Dune ships and some ladies to stick in them. Magnus is generating a lot of buzz already about how OP he is. :/

Yeah FW are almost for sure going to have to Errata him, probably by nerfing or removing his D ability.

EDIT: That being said though, people have been playing is as working on the entire Witchfire family, including the special Witchfires like Beams & Novas. It's highly likely that FW only intended for it to only be used with normal Witchfires.
Also it could probably do with being a 'Once per Turn' ability, even if that meant not making the Strength improvement random. The potential to spit out multiple Str D Witchfires with multiple shots can skew him to be powerful as all hell the one game and single handily destroy a Household.

How does the FW 30k variant compare with the GW 40k version that is supposed enhanced by Tzeentch to be a daemon prince on top of being a primarch? I haven't kept up with 40k stats for a while so don't have a clue in that regard.

Sorry if I'm wrong, but can't you cast only one witchfire a turn? In 40k Ahrimans staff allows him to cast 3, but he is the only one who can cast the more than once per turn.

You can cast multiple different Witchfires in the same turn, you just can't cast the same Witchfire multiple times with the same Psyker (unless you're 40k Ahriman).

That too . I keep forgetting that as it never comes up in my games (though it probably will be soon given the direction my Daemons are going and with the T-Sons rules further encouraging me to build an army of them).

Long story short, magnus has an army with him simply to feed his crazed warpcharge addiction.

I think it's at the high end of stupidly good, but not broken.
30k has issues with psykers to begin with due to having limited numbers of them in armies, and most of which don't do a lot.

Due to having a low number of psykers, the defence against it really wasn't needed before as it was nothing special.
This however can given it a pretty nasty shake.

I've seen the more competitive players scouring ebay for sisters of silence to try and cut down the damage.




While I'm no fluff nut, isn't sanguinius also a pretty strong psyker? (Not as strong as magnus though)

Sanguinius has psychic power, yes. But I would describe it as a passive power. In Fear to Tread, he can sense when his sons die.



There is a lot more, but I'm not terribly knowledgeable about the Blood Angels.

Ah right, I knew he was able to see things before they had happened etc.

So if they do give him the psykers rule chances are they will be pre selected ones that suit him.
Rather than an all out psyker.
