Yes, but one thing at a time... This won't be the only M2O for the SM/CSM stuff. GW clearly recognizes this as a marketing play.

Ordered the Daemonettes on steeds since I already have a box of the foot version. Also decided it was a good time to get Blood Bowl and Season 1, so I'm happy. Now just need that Imperial Agents book...

How long is the order window? I'm seriously considering a couple (3-4) boxes on foot, but I have 15 mounted in plastic. And the prices...they're less than a dollar more expensive per mini than the plastics!!

I think it was a week this time around? Possibly longer, though I wouldnt count on it.

Daemonettes = Raging Heroes Preying Mantis

Seekers = GW Diaz Metals

Characters = Current GW finecast

Chariots = Current GW plastics

Would metal seekers/riders swap easily into the current plastic chariot kits?

Thanks for pointing out the Raging Heroes models...never seen them before!

Being honest I don't think you would want to try to convert the metal seekers to the chariot kits. I presume you would be looking at cutting the rider off the top? I know GW did a lovely conversion for the Storm of Chaos book back in 2004 if my memory serves me right but you'd need to do a lot of cutting work as the legs are a part of the seeker's upper torso. The metal daemonette's on foot would be nice replacements for the plastic crew though!

I don`t even play daemons but finally being able to buy those daemonettes is just too good of an opportunity to pass up. They are some of my favorite models GW has ever done, and they suit Slannesh so much more than the garbage plastic ones.

I can confirm that its not the easiest thing to do, I've converted on old dark elf chariot with the diaz deamonettes and seekers for my seeker chariot and it took some time before the steeds where usable for the chariot. But it can be done

Are these 'made to order' models likely to come round again, or is it a case of: when they're gone they're gone?

I'm torn between buying a single box of daemonettes just to admire/own the models, and buying 4 boxes each of daemonettes and seekers to make an entire army.

There are no stated plans to make any M2O items available at a later date, so you should treat it as a "last chance" buy.

It's OK. I was on the fence, and ended up getting 1 box of Daemonettes. I figure I can always sell them down the line.

Although, "last chance to buy" in GW terms might well mean that they'll be available to buy again and again in the future (as we've seen with Space Hulk and various "last chance" fantasy models that's been the last chance to buy at least three times now if my count is correct). It's a rather meaningless term at this point when coming from them.

No guarantees it'll be available again of course, but "last chance" generally isn't the last chance to get something, as long as you're ok with waiting a few years.

Last Chance means it will at least be gone for a while, and any rerun is not guaranteed. There are a lot more products that have gone last chance and never come back than those that have.

Mine are in the Swap Shop. I've brought the price down. Buy them!!!

Wasn't interested in the Daemonettes, bought the sorcerer, the khornite and the Emperor's Children instead.

So they're still up for grabs on the UK site. Must be extending the week-long period due to high sales?

I ended up ordering 1 box of each demonettes and the EC lord. If them being on sale rolls into Dec. 8th when I get paid next you can bet I'm buying more. Other wise at least I got some for summoning. Lol

Hopefully this does send a message that the sexy look for slannesh is what most people want. I don't even play daemons and I bought the daemonettes and seekers cause I lvoe the models.

This wasn't the issue. The problem is the current models are utter waste--terrible sculpts based on John Blanche artwork. I'll grant some people actually like his artwork and I'm fine with that, but to use it for model design was not a sound strategy.

I never bought the current squid-head bloodletters for the same reason.

Its not the sexy look that makes them so good, its the perversion of that allure which perfectly nails the 'I'm not sure if this is attracting or repulsive' idea that Slaanesh is perfect for.
