I put the Ork ones up, just a bit further up on this the previous page. Couldn't find the Blitzbomma or whatever the third one is called.

Me too. My Orks might need some CAS.

GW is just emphasizing more "fix our mistakes!" like their Finecast excuse.

If you fix the assault cannon turret the Storm Raven would look passable (Darkseids conversion on an earlier page being an example). There will be ways to convert it to look decent.

Page 70 of the next White Dwarf has rules for the Bommer, while page 66 has rules for the Stormtalon.

Art is about exaggerating for effect, so shortening an aircraft's hull, making it wider, giving it bigger guns and engines are all valid ways of making a artistic statement, but if the exaggeration is taken too far it crosses over the line and becomes a cartoon. The Chibitalon has crossed way over the line into the cartoon zone and is right up there with some of the worst GI Joe toys or even Robogear vehicles.

I just thought he meant if the rules were included in the leak as well as the talon's ones were posted a little earlier on.

Ork Bomma: makes me want to collect orks and play with a recording of 'ride of the valyries' going in the background

Doom scythe: pretty cool with a few modifications, its just cool to have a model of this.

Other release: Abomination. Heresy. ...let us speak its name no more...

However the rules might be cool to use for some themed chapters.

It's awkward looking and will likely have armour 10 all around; 11 if lucky. I speculate that it'll be more points than a Landspeeder and die just as easily. IMO it's armament is ill matched for it's speed of movement (assuming Fast, Skimmer). 6th edition rules may change its worth, but under 5th edition I don't see this being very usable.

The Storm Talon will surely be Armour 12 all round at least, being comparable to the Stormraven.

I was mulling over the Talon since I posted my crushing opinion and, well, it's even worse than it used to be. Both the opinion and the model in question. I'll have to pretend it never actually existed and just convert one of the Ravens I have lying around. Like so.

Oh I know, instead of using gravity to stop our machines falling over, how about we invent some unneccesary contraption that helps our bulky clumsy ships perform balancing acts through some anti gravity device.

I'll pick up as many of the Ork fliers as will fit in my army, AS LONG AS THEY HAVE AN ANTI-TANK OPTION!

I actually rather like the Stormguppy,and am considering pre-ordering two, to sit with my Stormpelican. I know my Doom Dolphins can't use them both in the same game, at least, not outside APoc, which I very rarely play, but I think they'd look good together.

Here's the thing about the Ork flyers. I said this before when BoW did their first podcast about them, and a couple folks have echoed this, but I think it needs to be reiterated - at least 2 of the 3 Ork flyer variants are anti-infantry. Does the Ork codex need more anti-infantry?

We haven't heard details on the rules for the Blitza Bomma. I was perusing the 40k Lexicanum the other day and came across a mention of "Blasta Bommers" - armed with shootas, zzap guns, and rokkits. Now that might just be worth taking as a stopgap for the Ork codex. If the Blitza Bomma rocks zzap guns - count me in - I'll finally be starting my Ork army. Otherwise, these flyers are getting no love from me.

Agree with Death, as I have commented, I love my army, but I hate seeing all those SM boxes on the table. Means less interesting builds, and MOAR rokkit buggies.
Not a bad thing mind you, but I'd like options.
And I'd love RELIABLE options.
BS3 and Zzaps would sell me on them completely.

It sounded like the Blitz-bomma was anti-tank. Basically accurate point-blank bombs. Sounds like high strength pieplates with minimal scatter which is exactly what orks need when we lost looted earthshaker cannons from 3rd edition which was the core of every ork army. They can keep their ZZap gunz unless they wish to bring back some auto hits.

If all three of the orks are more Anti Infantry that power armor will just shrug off and laugh, and I need tot ake 12 of these in a force org to get one terminator to die, then these may just be awesome display pieces on my shelf.

And he's made some trash in his tenure (most space marine infantry models for instance), this is no exception.

As I said before, I love those Ork flyers and I'm so gonna get at least one. probably 2. But man, those rules seem pretty lame. Then again, who knows how 6th edition will handle flyers.
