Much better, your painting style has really advanced. One point of critisicm is the writing on the front scroll is notably off-centre. Everything else though is amazing!

The helmet-less head always reminds me of the scout for the brotherhood of steel in the fallout universe, or the recon helmet. interesting tidbit, I ;like the after on the landraider too.

@GD! - More teasing to come mate, I can't seem to stop base colors and washing the last of this push....

@Ogryn - Hahaha, I too wish I could reach in to the screen and take models, there are some fiendishly talented painters who I would love to have even 1 of their models!

@SBK - Thanks, and some one has finally noticed another part of my dedication to Dakka, 22,222 votes is a milestone I feel, I think I might be the top voter on Dakka now. Thanks for posting btw it means a lot.

@Medabee - Cheers, I've started to really like painting faces which is a complete 180 from when I first started painting. Thanks for taking the time to post

Update: spent most of last night base painting and washing the last tank in this push, having experienced the time it took to finish the land raider I felt If I start now I can do bits and bobs while painting other models.

Just wanna say thanks Knightley.

Been on a real slump for a while and unable to get interested to paint anything. Then gave it a try doing it your way, painting one model disassembled, and BAM! First solid progress in weeks.

Keep up the GREAT work. It's truly inspiring.

@DSS - Thanks man, I shall endeavor to get some cleaner lighted shots, but you might have to wait till the end for a completed model shot though.

@Markillius - Hey man good to see you back and painting. How did you find doing it when the model is broken down? I know not every one likes doing it that way so I'm interested in getting your experience on it.

@JohnnoM - Lots of thin coats then some tidy edge highlighting

@Ogryn - Thanks man!

@Norn King - Thanks heaps for taking the time to comment, it means a lot

@Miss Dee - Heheh, great comment!

@Ogryn - Cheers.

Here's a question: I have five Purifiers to paint after I finish the last half of a tac squad but I am interested to get opinions on the helmet color, do I go bone or white?

Update for today, got the body done, just the banner, arm, tilt pad, back stick uppy thingy to go.

Honestly, I found it invigorating! The way that I did it was as follows:

Primed pieces disassembled.
Basecoated Boltgun disassembled.

Then, I assembled it with minimal glue so that i could OSL highlight it with boltgun to chainmail/mythiril silver mix.

Then disassembled it to just torso (with head), arms with pads attached, legs, and various weapons/addon bits separate.

It was WAY too easy to get everything painted up well. Everything was easy because i could get at every angle. But the best part about it to me is that I got through the entire paladin painting the gold and highlighting it in one go, something that usualy took me three sit downs to force myself through it. This time, it was fun and I had no background distractions or music.

Definitely works!

@Zari - My basing is from the GW sand that came with the old mega paint set, painted calthan brown, devlan mud washed, then drybrushed from scorched brown through to bleached bone

@Markillius - Sounds like it really helped you to paint in bits! I do find that when you go to glue it together you have to be very careful with the glue amounts as some times you'll get a white frosting if you used super glue and then you have to go back over it.

@LDP - Exactly what I was going for!

@Ogryn - Happy to provide regular updates to my regulars

@Medabee - Thanks, whats your favorite model thus far?

Update: only a small bit done, the tilt pad and back banner gubbin'
