The thing is they raked a load of the sisters stuff over into the grey knights to pad it out, so that would leave you with two army in one year that share half their models... it would be like the same army but with female heads - and possibly a nemesis dread-nun...

i could believe they are thinking about doing them and even starting to design them - but also that you will be waiting another five years to see them, if you want a sisters army just go buy the GK codex and us it as a counts-as.

Why do people keep saying this? We have a functional codex currently, but we want one without so many holes in it. We know that work was started on the codex and models some time ago so its not unrealistic to expect one "soon". I can't imagine one author being so lazy as to copy another author's work almost entirely (at least not within this current design phase). Maybe a unit or two like Dark Eldar though. Personally I don't want any Inqusition or Assassins at all despite how cool some of the rules are.

I'll believe it when it actually hits the shelves.*

Runnin up on ya.

If that's true, my Tau are quietly crying in their box, in the closet, under a layer of dust. 10pts for a sister?

Pretty sure it's fake but still.... *sob*

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

Why not the current codex we pay 11 points for a Sister. You must buy a minimum of 10 sisters and buy a Veteran to have access to the faith special rules its about right.

Although I was shocked when I found out Karamazov joined the Grey Knights, I had the slight hope that Sisters would be part of Codex: Imperial Exclesiarchy rather than Codex: SoB or Codex: Witchhunters.

Codex Witchhunters is not possible anymore, as I think that GW does not want to share units between codexes ( that are not Space Marines, duh!).

So no Inquisitors, but instead Priests + Zealot mobs.

The Screenshots are indeed... stunning I guess. Close Combat arbites, yay!

Edit: THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. I want my Necron update ASAP!

Damn it GW. . . I know they get raging game-ons for imperial forces & Sisters need an update but I'd like to see some more variety than the current <Marines> <Not Marines> <Marines>. I know SoB aren't marines but in terms of gameplay they are close enough for me, just IG vets in PA.

So, just checking, who here thinks the title for this thread, "Codex: Sisters of battle confirmed for 2011!" is accurate and who thinks that the "confirmed for 2011!" is a misnomer and premature hyperbole?

I'm going to call bull on the "codex" images for now.

I just find it unlikely that they'd follow GK with Sisters. Especially with the known issues they were having with the sculpts. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if they do hit in 2011 as the last release of the year.

I still think tau or necrons will pop in first.

As for BrassScorpion's quesiton, I'd say "confirmed for 2011" is a stretch. I wouldn't consider anything 'confirmed' definitively until rumors consistent with each other start coming out regularly and some pictures of minis leak out.

@morgendonner,

I don't think they meant Sisters were next. IF Tau/Necrons(whichever comes next) make it around July/August, with the rate GW's been pushing books out this half of the year, I could see a possible November/December release for SoB, with a Fantasy book in the October slot, which fits the suggestions some people have put forth of a 3rd Fantasy book this year and gives us 3 books for each system(when was the last time that happened?).

Also, run-on sentence FTW.

Do we have a comparison? we could get some forensically minded people to have a look. Additionally where is the source material? Finally was the written on GK codex the actual prototype and how do we know?

Until GW announce 6 months before hand, giving melissa and about 100 other people here a nerdgasm, and then leave us hanging (like Tomb kings YES THEY'RE COMING!, NO YOU CANT HAVE INFOR OR PIX!) I won't believe it.

If you read back through the thread, the OP said that it was a full update. Your Tau have a much more recent codex than either Necrons or WH.

Your Tau have a much more recent codex than either Necrons or WH.

And it was essentially the same Codex for the most part. Very little was actually changed, just a few things copy/pasted in.

Well, the fact that the actual Grey Knights Codex was almost identical to the leaked one convinced me that the "written on GK codex" was the actual prototype.

As for the writing, it does look the same. I just opened up two windows on my computer and looked at them side-to-side and looked for same letters to compare and they look the same.

I'll say. And that, ladies and gentlemen signals the end of the useful life of this thread.
