Thanks guys! Unfortunately not too much to update on at the moment, most of my break was spent back at my parents' place. I did manage to get one game in, where I managed to snatch a decided draw from what should have been a crushing victory I have been working a bit on my superheavy though, switching out a few side plates and adding a few details. Hopefully more on that later.

Your Saint Celestine Conversion/Kit Bash is fantastic, It has given me a few decent ideas that ive put into a conversion for a unique Saint Celestine-esque model for my own SoB order.
I cant wait to see more of the super-heavy, im planning on getting going on my own too, based on a Stormlord.
Excellent work so far, cant fault it, and anyone sticking up inspirational SoB threads here is good in my books!

Thank you very much! I'm flattered that you find it inspirational. Make sure you set up a blog, if you don't already have one. I'm always up for more SoB goodness, especially when it comes to unique models.

Alright, I haven't been working too much lately on the army, but I have been playing with them, finally. I've gotten into a low-points escalation league, and I've been generally doing okay, but I am looking for a bit of advice here on my army list for February, if those of you with more experience with the codex than I would be so kind as to take a look.

It's silly that Celestine only comes on a legal base size of 5mm (standard infantry base). She definatly should get bigger one. Great job on the conversion, I like the idea alot.

I've mostly seen them on the 40mm terminator-sized bases personally, but GW's site shows her on the 25mm. I've never really seen a ruling on it.

Although the rule says you have to put her on whatever base she came with. So to be completely safe, do that.

I don't think you have to follow the rules that strictly...
one of the guys from the GW webteam (I think it was Dan) made a SM army, every single model was on a terminator base...

The problem comes when you have to go to a competitive event that actually does follow the rules.

Thanks Spidey! I moved a state up and over a couple months ago, and I'm still in the process of unpacking all my hobby stuff, and I'm having a hard time finding time with my new job. I have acquired a few more bits and models here and there, including some more HB rets, some extra FW rhino rear doors for a couple unbuilt repressor kits I have lying around, and a squad of Menoth Daughters of the Flame I hope to get modelled and painted up as DCA, leaving my Sisters of Sigmar as crusaders.
There's a big local 40k event in July that I'm hoping to get units ready for, including games of planetstrike, apoc, killteam, and regular 40k. I might pop in to the tactics thread at some point for some advice there.

liking your work. It's very inspiring to see what people can do with the parts of different models etc.
I would like to have seen what the celestial looked like with the smaller wings though, possibly in angel colours (grey / white)
I'm subbed and looking forward to further updates.

Sooo. Finally unpacked the majority of my warhams and started to organize it. This thread might be getting some brand new content soon. And some that is even more different than before!
This may be overambitious, but I just picked up an Ork Bomma, because it's a pretty cool kit, and now I have very big plans for it . I also have the AoBR orkz that a friend of mine sent me for christmas, so the beginnings of a small ork army are here. I'll keep y'all posted as things develop. That might involve creating a new thread to keep this one Sisterriffic, but we'll see.

ARISE!
After a long absence and a couple new editions and codexes, some local campaigns have brought me back into the fold. The Order of the Sable Heart returns. I have quite a bit planned, a few things done, and I hope to document my trials and tribulations here again.
First off, my FLGS is running a casual, narrative campaign starting in May and running into June. Part of the campaign involves making custom campaign characters using some campaign-specific rules, and one of the special rule choices allowed pulling two pieces of wargear from a different codex. For my character, I chose to pull from my Blood Angels codex to make a biker canoness with artificer armor. Throw on the Cloak of Saint Aspira and an eviscerator and we're in business, right?
Oh, have to build and paint a mini first. Right.
So we start off with a bike. I like the ornamentation on the Ravenwing Command bikes, but I have a specific pose in mind that will require the front wheel to be turned. That could be problematic. Maybe a regular marine bike would be better?
Maybe if we do a little plastic surgery...snip snip.
Why not just make it steer like an actual motorcycle?
Well that's a good start to the bike at least. How about the canoness herself? As much fun as Saint Bellanya was to put together, at least I didn't have to repose much. Putting a metal sister on a bike, however, is a little more daunting. So I picked up a box of Kabalite Warriors, since I've seen quite a few people use that kit for their own plastic sisters conversions. I can work with this.
But a canoness needs a bloody great weapon to lead the way into battle, doesn't she? And maybe a bit of bling for her steed.
And it all begins to come together.
More is in the works. Stay tuned!
