Alasss i return from work, ive managed to file all the rivets on the side to a good length







and special surprise the basilisk that was horrible, turning slowing into awesome !!!!

the rivets look quite good now filed down to fit the scheme...

the basilisk for a moment looked like a big movie screen with tracks^^ but now i see you are building up a caseing for the basilisk

I wasn't sold on the brass rod rivets, but I have to agree with Vik on this one: now that they're filed down, they look pretty sweet!

All of this! Is awesome work, very cool conversions, I love the GS fur and the plasticard work is top notch.

For your rivets, I don't know if you're aware of it, but there is a hole punch for leather work that you could use to make rivets out of plasticard, you'd be able to make more at a faster rate. They're called 'rotary hole punch' or something similar, a google search for leather hole punch should get you to where you need to go, they can also be found at most craft type hobby stores.

Yes, I've had that issue, I used some cardboard and super glue to fill the cavity in the hole punch.

Its rather simple, like filling any hole on a model, you do the same to modify your tools as needed. I hole punched cardboard and then squirted a bit of super glue into the hole when it was filled.

so you made the rotary punch a sigle punch by filling all the none needed sized puchsets up with cardboard...hmmm...ok i see that now... but if i would use glue then i would loose the other sizes permanently...hmmm have to think about that...

No, it's a rotating wheel with different size tube punches, he just filled his rivet-sized punch so the freshly punched rivet could only fall out, not get jammed in the tube.

yup...it is the state my holepunch et is usually...^^ i have to clean it up from time to time^^

I broke my handle trying to clean mine. It is in the landfill now, rusting. The best place for it IMHO.

well i actually bought a non cheapo version and it served me quite well.. tho i have to admit i never did try to work with styrene ...might be that the stuff is tougher than even my punch...^^

i managed to finish my basilisk armoured compartment, but i havent worked on the rivets that much except add a few when i had a spare moment.

thanks to my local game store and their awesome ness i now am a proud owner of 10 Resin kaslinakovs (ak's) 5 draganovs and 5 barret 50.cals heheh sniper teams

and i decided to do something different and got some rogh riders going using gw's empire pistollers Kit ( considering they look like vost's with their plate armour and all) and after some conversion work (and some lovely fur ) they will LOOK .....LEGENDARY.........

They are a good start (especially the horses, since they look so much better than the 1991 horses) but I found them tough to make look grimdark enough. My converted pistoleers always still looked like, well, pistoleers. What is your plan for the lances?

don´t want to bust your bubble here...but using pisoliers was my first thought when thinking of the matter of making my own roughriders^^ i have around ten of them lying around in my cupboard atm in various states of hideousness paintingstages due to other owners before me^^

but i do want to see your take on them for the fun and the ideastealing ^^

Congrats on the acquisition of unique weaponry for your force, I'm excited to see what you do with them.

I've just done some work on rough riders myself and they're documented in my p&m blog on here, though I used Perry Miniatures horses and for the lances I used the ones from GWs High Elf Silver Helm Regiment.

Viktor i just saw your post about the rough riders and i agree , for the lances i was in a bit of a problem, but ended up using brass rod for the lance and using the single barrelled pistols as the proxy explosive charge that they set off as they drive their lances into THE ENEMY
