I just hope I'll be as happy with the prices as I am with the designs.

Liking that biotank.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Really we don“t think about it, but maybe sounds better (and is more acurate, since the unit is a living being).

Keep up the good concept work, and I would ignore the cover art nitpicky folks!

Since I am the only one commenting the cover, you could call me by name and not pretend under a more generalized comment.

On that, ignoring a well constructed criticism is always a bad idea, not addressing it, for various reasons, is an entirely different thing.

Its not the criticism, but the odd, almost trivial things you choose to nitpick.

Also, I scanners front the page but didn't see, what scale are these planned in? I personally love 28mm, but the early 3d print looked very small.

It may be trivial or it may not be, on your eyes its trivial, in my eyes it is not, the cover of something is the first impression and much is gained or lost there, convening the right feel is essential on that part, the designer chose the illustration of units over illustrating gameplay, fine with me, I prefer the later though.

On your other question, I think its 28mm.

Honestly psychoticstorm I did not think the comment worth the time to scroll back up to figure out who posted it. You are being way nitpicky about the cover.

I cannot think of a single game I have ever seen with a cover that accurately depicts a bunch of guys hanging around a table pushing toy soldiers around on a table. They all misrepresent gameplay in one form or another.

Let these guys do their thing, the mini concepts and art look good!

"Never judge a book by its cover" , Storm. I read once an exploding ship on the cover of a SciFi books increases sales by like 30%. The cover needs to be interesting and eye catching, not some kind of interpretive display of gameplay.

The cover catches your eye, the flip side is where you put gameplay details and explanation. That's not just logical, its sound marketing, and its what companies actually do.

And thank you for answering my question.

The scale is 28mm. The bigger unit (the Biotank) is 90mm high with base of 100mm.

As we have finished the Glorlon army designs I will post the different models.

The first one is the Glorlon Raider, a light Recon unit. In the images with acid rifles, but will have another three weapons options: ink cloud projector, neurotoxic weapon and neural disruptor.

The designing of the first army, the Glorlons, are almost done.

Here you can see the pieces of the Glorlon Biotank:

And the Genocider (with three weapons options: antitank, heavy acid, and plasma gun):

We have the first images of the Colonial army, the first human faction.

Here you can see the T-94 tank and a Spetsnaz soldier beside a Glorlon Biotank (in the same scale):

Not bad, closer images of the spetznat would be better, will the tank have a base?

I feel the answer will be no.

The Spetsnaz is not finished yet, we show it to see the scale of the tanks.
The tank has no base, you think is a problem?
Thanks for the feedback

It can be, but it can also not be a problem, it all depends on how you have worded your rules, personally I like things to come with a base so that there is nobody being awkward about hulls of tanks (as I get at times with 40k), but that's just my preference.

Klan Zaw Klan: 4000pts

No, its a standard practice in 28mm biological tank scale things have a base mechanical tank scale things do not (walkers and flying fliers an exception) , it was more a "why can't both have a base like 15mm" moment than anything else.

Of course its a rules thing too, if a base exists something must be done with it.

This too, I quite like how 15mm have bases on everything it may make rules more streamlined.

Bases on vehicles tend to help with certain rules issues, especially when everything else in a game has a base.

Still, it shouldn't be a deal breaker.

Bases also allow for more creative modelling. Every tank becomes a mini diorama!

Our original idea is that the vehicles do not have a base. The problem that we would have with the base of this miniature is the size: its length is 14 cm. Anyway, we“ll think over whether we should include the base.

Large bases for vehicles are problematic, as you mention - and that's usually why they aren't included and the rules end up mentioning touching the actual hull, etc.

Is this AT-43? Much of the pics and sketches look like the Red Blok and Therian miniatures.....

No more than warhammer fantasy looks like lord of the rings, or cryx in warmachine look like therians, or eldar look like vulcans, etc...

Sure there are some similarities, but it isn't nearly as close as you are claiming.

(I have no connection to the company or the game for the record)

Bases are a necessary evil - I say avoid them if you can. Even on the bio tank. Write your rules with a "within 1" of the hull" kind of disclaimer.

I don't mean to offend, your concept and sketches are very nice indeed. I am just able to see the the motivation behind many of the concepts. Halo, Gears of War, AT-43, DUST, and several other sci-fi franchises... The whole pseudo-soviet concept, Dispora (several game systems have this as their title, or the main planet or continent in their game)..... Oh well, you know what they say

The comparisons you posted have only the vaguest similarities to one another. I suggest you stop trying to "figure it out" and just enjoy what they are making. They have started an interesting spin on a well-worn setting. Yes, they have stylistic influences, everything does. Your insight into the "motivation", however, is off the mark, I would say.

Maybe?

But any post that begins with "I don't mean to offend..." usually does just that.

It was some constructive criticism, that's all.

And it was my opinion (and don't tell another person there opinion is wrong, it is an opinion) as soon as I saw all the sketches and stuff and those other scifi franchises popping into mind....

Don't misquote me either....

And if I, just glancing through a post or blog suddenly say "Hey, that looks like such-n-such..." Then I can not be the only one.....

All I am saying is be careful, intellectual property right lawsuits have had less grounds than this might....

Again, you are stretching to make your claim. Its obvious there are influences. The Elohim(?) Are obvious inspired a lot from the Vorlon race from Babylon. Is that bad? I don't think so.

The rest of your 'proof' is nothing but similar designs. No one can do futuristic rotary now that's its been in a GIJoe toy or Avatar? Or anyone doing a walker tank is automatically an AT43 rip off?

what ever the inspiration (as long as its cool stuff), have enough differences, and you should be ok (just avoid anything that looks like a GW item )

I really like the designs, and will happily drop some cash on these products..when they become available.
