I'll be honest man, I'm not seeing any issue here. Nothing you posted looks too similar to any of the 'similar' designs. The VTOL for instance looks a lot more like a Hind Helicopter Gunship with VTOL rotors instead of that more generic VTOL Helicopter you posted.
And theres absolutely nothing wrong with that design - in fact, due to the Soviet theme, it's how your run of the mill player might imagine a Russian Space Chopper to look.
Others, such as the mech, fit into more general "bipedal mech tank" designs and don't necessarily copy any one design such as the one you posted. The primary stand out feature of the Dust Tactic mech is that the legs come up and join to the body where the 'shoulders' would be, leading to a body that is almost suspended between them - whilst OP's mech is a more standard design with the legs supporting the body via a pelvis. Kind of like saying "if its a mech, it copied Battletech, full stop!". The Gears of War Vehicle is literally just a generic 'high tech' Armoured Car design and bears only a passing similarity - about as little as you could expect from two different designs of 'sci fi armoured car'
Looking forward to those English rules - the last game I played out of Spain (Infinity) was an absolute breath of fresh air.

Er, nope? I used to play and collect AT-43 back in the day, and I really don't see any resemblances, save for the fact that there's a human faction and a high-tech alien faction...
By the way SentinelG, would you by any chance be needing someone to paint figures up for you? I'd love to help you guys out, so gimme a PM inf you're in the market for a painter.

I would say, if these designs looked like anything, it'd have to be Spiral Zone. All that's missing are some mono bikes and a big wheel bike with a cannon on it.

Thanks for all the comments.
We have a lot of inspirations from scifi movies, novels, comics, etc (and from the real world of course) but we want to make something different.
We know that the feeling of "I saw this before" could happen as a tank is always a tank, a walker is always a walker, and so on. But if you look at each model we expect you see the difference between (for example) a therian (a kind of mechanical living thing) and a glorlon (a cephalopod biotech alien).

I'd like to throw in my 2 cents now and my real money when you release your product for sale. I personally don't care where you draw your inspiration from, I like the concept art and designs for the human factions. I can't wait to see some finished renders for the troops and I plan on buying them if they look close to the art.

Hmm.. I suppose I see a slight resemblance in that it fills a category of 'alien walker thingy' - but then, think Matheiu Raymond has hit the nail on the head in that regard.
Anyway! Please let's not stop the game creators from posting here..
Absolutely love the imagery so far. Really looking forward to seeing what will come next, the concepts and design so far look great.

I actually like the Cthuluoid looking aliens a lot...would be very fun to paint, with a "aquatic come from the depths of the sea" vibe..hell I like them better than GW tyranids for truly alien looking.
Lets see some greens, btw are you planning on a kickstarter?

Just for the record-if you are calling things into question...that's not from DUST, but a converted Fire Toad from AT-43.
Sci fi is always going to have elements that are derivative. It's something that cannot be helped with the mass of media that exists. I for one really like the models put forth so far, and it's for the same reasons I like some of the models that they somewhat resemble. That's not a bad thing.
Also, really liking the non-humanoid aliens. Keep up the good work.

The main thing about design is that there is nothing really original, whatever one may think and however one may research it, there will be somebody else who will find something similar or even quite close done before.
This is because there is a limit to how many different solutions one can apply to a problem, there is a pool of inspiration people can draw from and there is a short narrow corridor in what people find acceptable as a representation of an idea.
Whenever I hear X is copying Z I feel the urge to facepalm, why was Z original in the first place? you think one will not find something that looks like Z and does not predate it? Nothing is original these days, nothing was original in the past and nothing will be original in the future, what things can be is exciting interpretations of old ideas, be happy people do them and be really happy when the reshuffling and combination of really old ideas and designs produce something you like.

Just caught this.
Wow, this looks great. I could see the issue with the cover art, but it's not too great. It would help if the piece was slightly wider, but oh well.
All the figures look great, but I didn't initially see any resemblance to AT-43 or anything else.
The bases look weird to me though, I don't know why they're not on regular beveled bases.
Still, since Gates of Antares failed, this is a good also-ran.
I will be watching the kickstarter with great interest.
