It's a good start but I think the soldier needs a bit more work. The assault rifle visually seems like a carbine at best or even a large SMG size wise at worst; I'd say make the weapon larger. I'm not proposing GW style scale exaggerations but I think the weapon will seem too tiny.

That does look a lot like an smg patterned off of an ak47 or something. Which is cool enough if its meant as SMG. If rifle, do what warboss says.

Not sure I can get down on another kickstarter, but I'm definitely watching your progress, quite a bit of promise.

This is the first time I've liked your human troops. The legs look ...gears of warish, and not in a bad way. I think it manages to look exaggerated, but not cartoonist. A hard line to walk.

As far as the gun, I think it looks about spot on for a non heroically scaled weapon. I know the others are quibbling over terminology, but unless it has a side folding stock, it'd technically be a pistol. A short gun with high RoF is perfectly acceptable for 'assaulting' position. The real difference between rifles and SMGs is usually the caliber, that mag looks rifle calibered in context.

My suggestion? Try to make weapon swaps as easy as possible, and that should make people who don't like a truscaled weapon happy. Either no hands on the gun price or only the right hand is my preference.

Keep it up I'm excited for this KS. Any ideas on the structure yet? Is, faction starters, squad boxes, etc? I think faction starters is good for start up games, but making sure you can order squads/vehicles you want can also draw in counts as shoppers.

Thanks to everyone!

The rifle has different configurations, one with folding stock and one without it (in the image). Maybe this one seems too small and is better not include it, what do you think?

The weapons for the colonial infantry (the space russians ) are this:

I don't think it looks small, looks about right for a carbine.

I think the bulkiness of the fatigues make it look smaller.

I love your weapon designs, I wish it was possible to get all that detail in this scale. I love bullpups, but its hard to do in a miniature. A variety in options might not hurt either, fully stocked versions and stockless.

Hmmm.. is there a way to turn the apcs to look more like BMPs you did a great job with the hind... was just curious if that's possible?

Your humans look good, but do not have something eye catching, something that definite places them in your universe, that is good for selling them as generics, but will not help your IP to set its mark.

What I'd love to see is renders for the non-squid aliens.
I like the aliens of your setting a bit more than your humans,
judging from the artworks.
Hopefully I'll survive til the 15th without getting on the reaper kickstarter ....

His head looks fine. I think maybe if anything he could use a belt and an alternate helmetted head.

Well, I've currently got:
$60 on Reaper Bones
$140 on Mars Attacks

If you run a good kickstarter, I'll drop those and give you all that and more... like what I see!

I like the helmet design. It's fairly original having the armored visor cover. The weapons look nice too. I'm not quite sure about having the asymmetrical body armor on the basic infantry, but otherwise, I like everything I see.

That helmet gives me a Dead Space vibe. That's not a bad thing.

Tau Fire warriors, shrug.

I like asymmetry, if done properly. And these dont look like they have a cabinet door strapped to one side, just a few extra plates.

I really like the overall direction. The machine-gun guy in that picture isn't holding his gun by the pistol grip; I think it looks a little goofy.
