Looking good! I like the poses - they're simple and realistic. It fits the gritty feel you guys seem to be going for. I'm not totally sure about the HMG guy. His weapons seems pretty small, and the stands look a little goofy just hanging there.

I hope there'll be an option to have the star-visor down on a whole group/squad. I really like how they look that way.

Yes, the squad includes three optional heads: light helmet and star-visor up and down helmet.

Damn, those look way nicer than the earlier renders. I have to ask, will there be an option to just get a single faction? I love the designs you have for the humans, but the aliens just don't do much for me.

Yes, of course. The complete starter includes two armies (Glorlons and Colonials) but we will have an "army box level" of just one.

We can always enter negotiations Barzam and divvy up a box if that interests you. You know I'll take aliens over 'umies any day.

I'm glad there will be visor down options, I also hope, that there will be easy options for adding squads and the like for people that might want these for other games.

Due to bureaucracy we are obliged to postpone the campaign launch of Total Extinction till the 22nd of October. Finally we“ll run the campaign on Indiegogo.

That's too bad.

Guess I'll have to wait until you go retail... Indiegogo is just too sketchy for my tastes.

Ill have to pass as well :(. Indiagogo is just to unstable for me.

As we are a Spanish company it“s not easy for us launch on Kickstarter, so we have to make the campaign on Indiegogo, that allows people for almost all countries to participate.
We will try our best in the campaign to make you forget where we are raising funds and think only for what we are raising - to make Total Extinction reality.

Well I think Indiagogo.. screams the issues with Avatars of War for me. I didn't get on that, but they were also a small Spanish company and they are still waiting for fulfillment. Was looking forward to that hind gunship looking thing... but yeah not so sure.

I was really looking forward to tomorrow.

But I have to echo the other comments here. Even if you have to postpone a bit and jump through some red tape a Kick starter would be much more beneficial then running an indiegogo now.

Like many I see Indiegogo as a sketchy version of KS.

I can't name a successful Indiegogo campaign.

I want to see you guys successful, I like a lot of your designs and renders so far.

Uh ,that's making me sad. A shame I'd have fought my kickstarter-angst to be a part of this one. Eh it was not meant to be ...

I echo the others. If you have to delay a bit to get on kickstarter do so....it will be worth it.

We know the delays are a serious problem for crowdfunding campaigns and we want to avoid it.

To do it we have made almost all the designs of the first goal and during the campaign we will make all the other designs of the stretch goals achieved.

We have planned all the steps of the production and distribution of the game so we can give a very realistic date to bring Total Extinction to the backers“ homes.

To be honest ive never heard good things from indiegogo, if this was on ks Id probably have had a good look. Good luck tho, I look out for it at retail.

Hope our campaign make you change your opinion.

Recent campaigns in Indiegogo that we think were great:

- Kensei http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/kensei-fantasy-creatures--2/x/4467418
- Dies Irae http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/dies-irae/x/4467418

You have to understand one thing, Indiagogo has two modes, Fixed and flexible funding, because flexible funding charges CC without the project reaching its target goal, many users have the wrong opinion about it.

Fixed funding projects are the same as kickstarter, but it hasn't sunk to the greater populace yet.

I think what we are saying is we would be okay with delay if that delay was caused by switching to Kickstarter. You get a far better exposure that way.

Indiegogo also charges you immediately up front, which is another turn off for many.

Oh right, I messed it up, I thought fixed founding didn't have it, sorry for that.

Yes, the biggest problem in Indiagogo is the charging up immediately and not refunding if you need to change your contribution downwards.

The problem with kickstarter of course is that if you are not a US or UK company, you somehow must become one and it does create some issues.

Couldn't they just PM Cyporian and ask her about how Mantic got their "USA Office" for the KoW Kickstarter? It seems like there are ways to get going in the US that are not cripplingly expensive.

I'd like to echo the opinion of those who think a delay is OK if you went over to Kickstarter instead. I too am dubious of Indiegogo.

Either way, the project looks great. If it does go to IGG, I'd still buy it when it went retail.

I've backed Indiegogo's in both fixed and flexible modes, the risks are not different (although you can't reduce your pledge anywhere near as easily that's not something I do)

but do prefer KS simply because it's got a larger backer base with more chance of unlocking stretch goals

Getting hold of a US shell corporation and bank account may be tricky (it took Raging Heroes about 6 months from all accounts) but it might well be worth it

(on the other hand RAFM succeeded with their Cthulhu Indiegogo and are doing less well with their Steampunk KS so platform alone does not guarantee success)

I really wanted to back this one, but going through Indiegogo is a real turnoff. I don't like their pay first structure and there's been a lot of miniature campaigns run through there that have wound up being notorious for not fulfilling orders. I think Avatars of War in particular has left a bad taste in the mouth of the community as a whole with regards to Indiegogo.

+1 for KS delays over an IGG move...

You have the potential for an incredible product... best Alien Races I've seen yet... and I'd love to help you take them from render to reality... but, put simply, IGG is a deal-breaker for me...

If you choose to go that route, then I wish you well... and I'll hope to see you on the retail side of things... but I won't be able to give you a dime before then.
