Rereading the preview text and this stuck out to me.

The Pteraxii and Serberys units both come in dual kits

So there is an unseen 2nd build for the flying cogboys?

Hopefully Ghaz gets some new rules in PA. He's just not worth running at the moment.

I think my favourite thing about modern GW is their willingness to take chances with the design and releases. The new Elves, like the Ossiarch Bonereapers, take some design cues and run with them. They will not be to everybody's taste but IMO look great.

Throw in a great set of releases for Ad Mech, Ghazghull and Makati and a Zoat this was a pretty cool set of reveals to wake up to.

Then you could drill a bigger hole and it'd still work. Compared to this abominable horror that is modern flight stand, they were 10/10.

I love the robot cowboy skitari so much. Thow I'm insure the role the ranger version is meant to play

New Skitarii are fantastic

New Elves are great, except for Teclis, like seriously I really don't like that.

FW announcements are good. Qin Xa is how those Ebon Keshig should have looked.

How many 40k units does Admech have now that aren't in the codex, 10? Two Cavalry units, two jump pack units, two tanks, Helicopter thingy, Kill team HQ guy, BlackStone Fortress servitor and techpriest.


I know BSF is its own thing, but seriously, they need to start rolling those units into the codex. Same for the Kroot guy and the Eldar.

Oh I'm sure GW will make you buy new codex shortly after you have been forced to buy PA7 More books for book god.

The new aelph infantry looks nice. I love that they're riding actual horses for a change. Both units look less outlandish than many other AOS factions, and rely more on traditional fantasy elf visual tropes, which is refreshing.

I’m going to echo the general consensus of “good work GW”, but did anyone else pick up that Angels of Death is a product of “Warhammer Storyforge”? That’s new?

Teclis really is just peak GW
Aesthetically and technically very well designed as separate parts, but merged together as an impractical overly large needlessly strange and flimsy contraption. But hey, at least there are no swirly bits.

Other Elves look good. Refreshingly grounded. Wonder how they will look next to the Island of Blood plastics. Only thing I definitely dislike are the backscabbards on the infantry, which look as tacked on as they probably are - but at least that should make it easy to remove them too.


AdMech cav seems odd. It's not like horses have some design properties that make them the perfect steeds in terms of speed or scaling terrain, in addition to which I'd expect something more twisted, grafted onto the riders themselves rather than a steampunk horse. If sticking with real-world influences, steampunk camels would at least have been more unique.

But Makari is dead.

The two pictures have slightly different heads and feet and not so slightly different weapons.

Does it matter? It’s difficult telling dose grots apart anyway so if you give one of ’em da helmet and da lucky stikk and tell him he’s Makari, den he’s Makari!

Just don’t like the Teclis model. Rest of the range is nice.

When they say that’s a lot but it’s only the first day.
More reveals? Seems unlikely as that’s a big dump in one go.
But I never remember how they do it, I’m sure some events drop more each day (maybe just the other specialist games etc?)

The Teclis model and the aelves look fantastic. One of those occasional releases that keeps almost getting me into AoS.

Ad Mech cowboys ...

I just don’t get it. How can they have messed up Ad Mech so badly? It’s become an army where the theme is, there is no theme. ForgeWorld did Mechanicum do well for 30k, but GW’s Ad Mech is just a mess of unrelated ideas.

I’m going to echo what’s already been said.

Love the new Aelves, with the exception of the whole Teclis model. I like the mount and the base, but, I really don’t like Teclis and the way he is attached to the mount. Hopefully we’ll see more as time goes by.
But, the rest of the models could see me finally get into AoS.

FW Indices disappearing and being redone. Thank the Emperor! It’s been a long time coming and I look forward to what they do with them.

As for the Admech stuff, not decided just yet. The models look pretty decent on there own, but, I’ve got the feeling that they will look out of place alongside the rest of the army. Probably will be proven wrong if/when I see them on the table.

Well, that was interesting. Gotta agree with Yodrhin et al on the Ad Mech. Technically well made, but not particularly a fan in the context of the greater setting.

Ghazkhull. Yay! From what we could see.

Nurgle warband is an instabuy, even though I don't play the game they are for and probably never will.

Pointy Elves. All excellent, especially Eltharion. The Sphinx is nice, but then we get to Teclis. Why, oh why is the face so fething awful? Is is sculpted that way? Is it just a bad paintjob (in which case how did that slip through)? If it's the sculpt then a quick slice and dice with a Harlequin mask is in order, which also ties him nicely together with the Sphinx.

The Zoat is awesome and will be on my radar to buy too.
