Great work muggins! The mini looks great, the description of the process was illuminating & as YB says, the news stills were really fantastic!

It's not marine related, but I just posted a batrep for my orks vs. footdar. It has been one of the things that has occupied an inordinate amount of time over the last several evenings...

Thanks Reiko. Hope to have another game tomorrow. We'll see if I can scare up an opponent.

Have been puttering away on my Skin Wolf and 3rd Grot Tank. No work on the LoTD I'm afraid...

I played another game tonight actually. 1250 pts again with my Grot army using Buzzgob (with my opponents permission). All the units save one were chosen simply because they either were grots or looked like grots when compared to modern orks. (the exception being a couple of deffkoptas who were just filling out points) A full batrep will be forthcoming, but here are a couple of teasers...

The Army:

My Turn 1 roll-on (DoW game):

The fate of Grot Tank #3 (self inflicted):

Failequins, Part II: This is probably going to hurt...

OH, and here's the link to my Hordes thread: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/451733.page

HAZZER wrote:Hi, gits just checking in. When are you going to be having an update on LoTD?

Not sure Haz... just having some fun fooling around with my orks and skin wolf. Perhaps by this weekend if I'm in the mood.

Gits,

Out of curiosity, your 2 dreads, one has a black helm with detailing and one has a white helm with a jewel.

Are the differing colours to represent anything? I know one is a ven and the other an ironclad.... just wondering??

@dantay: You mean my two sternguard dreads? In general terms the different color heads signify veteran status, but honestly it's just artistic license. Black or white makes no difference, it's just what color I thought would look best in the context of the rest of the vehicle.

@Reiko & HAZ: The army was a lot more viable against this particular opponent that I intended it to be. I was hoping to give him a chance for some payback after our last meeting, but it just didn't work out that way. Gave me some things to think about though. I was helped by the scenario... the fact that we were fighting over just two objectives meant that my slow moving, very fragile grot troops wouldn't be that big if a liability.

Sorry mate, I know it's a PITA... But most folks come here for marine stuff. Don't want to lead them on with new posts on unrelated topics.
