Look closely. He appears to have legs - or possibly stumpy talons? The wings appear to have deathspitters mounted in them as well - perhaps the wings allow upgrades to be slotted into them so you could have DS/Devourer wings, ST wings, etc?

Do wings in the Codex impede a Tyrant's ability to take the standard 4-arms worth of weapons? If not, then he's got to mount them somewhere, so why not the legs?

Hive Tyrant on foot looks the sameish, expect the swords are different I think.

VERY interesting the SW get Shields. Although the TW looks more like giant angry bangers or wolverines

Imo Tyrannofex is almost spot on with the concept art so props to them for that. I dont know whether I would buy one though.

No, wings are a pure movement upgrade, they dont impede weapon choices iirc.

I'm actually glad they didn't make the phallic gun of the concept art, but decided for an arm mounted weapon instead.

Arjac near the swarmlord is a bit meeh but pretty cool

the thunderwolf lord as far as i can see is the head of the charge hard to tell if its a good model or not but ill give them the benifit of the doubt still not buying one since its identical to the plastics bar extra detail (just saw other half of page and the lord is pretty sweet)

thunderwolves i actually really like they are more snarling and ravenous than i expected and multiple poses by assumption makes the kit a winner

Wolves in general looking amazing love the sculpt for the cyberwolf shame its finecast and separate but otherwise couldn't ask more any more

mini note liking the banner bearer on the hill for the wolves but why no MotW marine?

swarmlord sabers have looked to change but overall looks good

flying tyrant not liking the pose but hoping to be ground walking and wings possible

tervigon looks pretty good but not the best sculpt i think it was a little offset since it had to be a combined kit

tyrannofex looks good but i would have liked the more mouth cannon look it feels more alien than a canifex crab cannon

At first I was less than impresed with the idea of another Hive Tyrant. I already have two from every edition plus two FW flyrants. After seeing the picture, I will be purchasing them to use as harpies. As for the Tyranofex, I can't be happier with it. I will deffinately be buying 3 of them!

It's probably like that because putting a special character on the box might be confusing ("But I don't want a Swarm Lord!").

Putting the Flyrant on the box cover also helps it stand out more among the Tervigon, Carnifex, and Trygon, which are all on foot but distinct from each other. Flyrant with wings really stands out compared to them, drawing attention on the shelf.

Good find, well done HMBC. The new Tyranids don't look bad at all, though the Thunderwolves still look a bit silly (I will be content to blame the concept rather than the sculpt, however.).

Is it just me, or does the Tyranofex's base look round not oval? Also in the group shot it looks larger than the Trygon's base behind it.

Nice to see the winged Tyrant, hopefully we'll see winged Warriors eventually getting a recut box as well.

Still not a big fan of the 'gotta be six limbs' thing, wasn't a fan of either Forgeworlds or GW's call to stick to that, although some patience and green stuff should allow me to do a winged one and still have its legs.

Tyrannofex is pretty nice as well.

Appaling paintjob on the Tervis birthing sack imo but still a great model, the head is really wicked.

Bone sabres are a little weak imo.

Yep confirmation bonesabers have changed appearance its a shame i liked the squarer more heavy design these one look a bit small for a "monstrous creature"

Yeah I really thought they'd be bigger. Four of those big boneswords would'a been nice.

They can only do so much with the kit. Swarmlord has his own head and 4 arms. There is a lashwhip and bonesword option as well what looks like a new venom cannon for normal Tyrants. Tail, lower legs, and wings for the flyrant. Only so much sprue space.

My Swarmlord is bad ass so the only way I would buy the kit is if I could build the flyrant.

Love the tervigon, waaayyy better than many conversions out there, and anything i cold make so happy there.

Hmm... mixed opinion.

On the one hand, I really like the hive tyrant, and will probably get several for Swarmlord and harpies.

On the other hand, the size of the tervigon kit means that the five I converted are officially too small to use. Now I have to figure out what to do with 5 carnifex bodies.

Check a bit closer, he does actually have legs, they are sort of swept back in a pose as if hes flying fast through air.

They look to have scythe feet to me though

I should probably have said, they dont need feet as they dont need to land..

Now that makes me happy. I really like the Tervigon/Tyrannofex kit, and will be even happier when some better views of the Hive Tyrant can be had. Thank you xenos.
