Thanks, guys! The Teraton skin is just Snakebite Leather Contrast over a Menoth White base coat that was dry brushed with white. It is another one of the standouts in the Contrast range, I think.

tzurk, I am looking forward to seeing the Beholder done, too. I was lucky enough to grab one when it came out, decided on a look for it, and then it sat in it's package for months. For shame.

Page rollover! Thread needs pictures badly. Finished a couple things. Nothing too major, but forward momentum is good. First, two steps backward. I have owned a few Gundam models over the years. This was the first, and still my favorite Gundam. God Gundam (Burning Gundam in the US), 1/144 scale. I never went for the panel lining or any detailing before or since. Years ago, we were giving a game called Monster Island a try, a quick little game where you statted up a creature using build points and threw down in a free-for-all brawl reminiscent of old Godzilla movies. So I decided it was time to trick out my favorite Gundam, complete with base, which looked like the back nine with it's pretty green grass and manicured sand trap. Sigh. So, I was never really satisfied with the look overall. For some reason, that came to a head last weekend, and now he has plenty of wear and tear, and a brand new base that doesn't look freshly mowed. NOW it's done. I dislike revisiting projects, distracts from the now and all that, but I am much happier with it now. One day I will build and detail the 1/100 version. One day...

THIS HAND OF MINE IS BURNING RED!

Also completed the Sergeant for the Scouts/Reivers. Wearing a sneakier color scheme. For sneaking. 1 down, 4 to go.

And finished Betty from Relic Knights. Lug to follow. Soon-ish?

Fun stuff. Soft detail.

And a couple WiP shots.

Also have finished 3 more Teratons. Just need to varnish.

And I dug up a few more relics from my collection for the Retro thread. Here they are in case you aren't following that one. If not, you should. Lots of great history there.

Space Marine characters in Terminator armor.

Regular marines.

BFG Eldar battleship.

Chaos lavatory.

Chaos Champions.

The Frightastic Four.

All that remains of my Warmaster armies, including a fun Chaos Champion with Minotaur bodyguard.

Plenty more to do. Stay safe and sane, everyone. Thanks for looking!

So much progress! I love it. That Gundam model looks great, got quite a few from the Iron Blooded Orphans series I'm tempted to try my hand at painting but everytime I think of it I look at my unfinished 40k stuff and feel shame. Loving the style on the Betty model, looks straight out of a cartoon, good job on achieving that effect.

Always love seeing those old GW sculpts with "modern" paintjobs. Those old space marines walk a very thin line between cool and goofy, but your paintjob makes them look outstanding. And I second you on the Snakebite Leather, lovely color, although until now I have only used it for leather parts.

The WIP on that Deathwatch head is great, don't fancy painting up a load like that for my Lions do you ?

The Gundam looks great, I know nothing about that particular line of toys/comics/animated series but the paintwork and changed base look great. The Reiver is solid as well as a great effort with the yellow on Betty, always such a pain of a colour.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane as well

It's a lot of fun seeing your retro minis, but I enjoyed seeing your Gundam most of all. It brings back a lot of memories, though I never got as into G Gundam as the other series around its time. Nice work on the other minis too, I like the scout sergeant.

Loving the darker look for the scouts, very sneaky! Betty must be double hard, what with being able to carry a minigun... which is a good job as she’s got about 0.5secs of ammunition! She’ll be using the gun as a cudgel!

Yeah, it has a lot of what is commonly referred to as "charm" these days.

Thank you very much for the comments, guys. Glad you like seeing the old stuff. My heyday was from RT through 3rd, and while I have stayed up with and involved in the hobby since, a lot of my collection would be considered old school.

ListenToMeWarriors, the skin was very easy. It is two drops of Snakebite Leather and one drop of Wyldwood, both Contrast colors, over a white undercoat. I plan to hit the lip with a bit of color and get the eyes and a couple details on the earpiece, but this is pretty much done.

Thanks again, everyone.

Thanks, Cap'n.

Helping my parents move from their home of nearly 40 years has thrown the progress train right off the tracks. Did manage to get a less glamorous shot of the 3 new Teratons with the other completed minis for the team.

Working on the remainder now. And other things. Or...trying to.

The Terratons are looking great, a nice herd.

I feel for you having to dig out 40years of memories. It was hard to move my wife’s grandmother after she had been in the same house around 60 years, and I had been over there clearing out the hoardings for two years prior to that. Hopefully you found some nice memories...if not some nice conversion bits and things.

Indeed, Cap'n.

highlord, you're welcome!

Thanks for the comments, everybody.

Working to get the momentum going again.
Couple things in preparation. First, the Contemptor. Arm position not final, as they will be painted separately.

Also basing a Brass Bull I felt compelled to buy and paint right away. Weird.

Hopefully more soon. Thanks for looking!

The twin autocannon Contemptor is looking great! Have you considered doing some work on the legs to make the easy-to-build pose more dynamic?

I’m with you on the brass bull, it I should just screaming to be finished, not the best model in the world, but it is definitely cool.

The contemptor I would level the guns on an enemy. I think the one thing that makes the dreadnought a possible beast is that the construction would facilitate not having to balance itself like a human does when walking. I think the frame would auto compensate for weight distribution and recoil so it could advance at full while unloading a massive amount of firepower. Just my two cents. I know dreads have gone from great to awesome no poor in the different editions, so I’m not sure how effective they are now.

That makes me want to paint my Chaos Toilet too. I just love that model.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

You've been busy! A great bunch of models completed.
Your finished model count for 2020 is a lot higher than mine

I continuously enjoy your unique style of painting.
Especially Betty caught my eye with well defined features and simplistic yet very effective highlights. Well done sir!

zahnib, I considered it. For a second. Then passed, as I was already cutting on the arms and head.

Getting back into it. Bull is done, and the Cerberus. Also the first of the plastic Space Hulk Terminators. Plenty more underway. Quick WiP.
