Why not make a skwelp account, false identity, prove your sorces and protect your image? Then everyone is happy, it certainly isn't about ego (how can one take credit behind a mask?) and you may be able to help your source out with some office politics (Make believe you are a co-worker of your source whom your source may not like, problem solved!).

Truth be told, we shouldn't need things like this, but hopefully GW will eventually learn the meaning of the Age of Aquarius and get with the program...

Yeah.

You forgot those things it uses to spot vehicles during night fighting, I believe they're called Knight-lights

In game you must state "Alright, since it's night fighting on turn 1, im turning on my Knight-Lights"

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

All I know I am buying one of those Dreadknights.

Because they are cool.

The Dreadknight does not have 'Bloodfists'. It does have fists though...

Heck, hope it has 6 fists so it gets more attacks in cc instead of the crappy A2 the suicide cans get.

Wrong.
100 GKT vs 12 Bloodthirsters and Angron. Only one GKT made it into combat with Angron and stood his ground. He then burnt out the entirety of his soul to banish Angron.

Weird. It means 99 knights vs 12 bloodthirsters and its a draw basically meaning 10 knights = 1 bloodthirster.

And then 1 knight = 1 angron.
Poor angron must be a real whuss if it only takes one knight to kick his ass while it takes 10 knights to kick a "common" bloodthirster.

Yes, some of us here know things.

I´m even more awesome since I know that you know!

No, it's definitely ego. You're only doing it to draw attention to yourself.

You could keep your mouth shut, and no one would be the wiser for it, but you don't.

I think he´s just trying to help but in doing so there are people bound to react as if he is a wiseass.
You should be glad he confirms a rumor at least and respect that he is forbidden to say anything more.
As for the annoying rest, just take it for what it is, humor.

Now, let's not get crazy.

Right now, I'm looking forward to DreadKnights armed with KnightFists and KnightLances or KnightShields or KnightKnights.

As long as it has the (k)night fight you-cant-see-me-at-range rule.

Wouldn't you rather know a few things are totally bogus or legit than just hear wild guesses? I know I prefer hard information, even if it is just scraps and tidbits.

Exactamento!

Creating a 'fake account'?

No, not everyone will be happy then.

Guys, if you aren't used to how the whole 'rumor thing' works by now, well, there isn't much we can do for you.

Accept it for what it is, know that people have to 'protect their sources' (so they can continue to get info AND so that their source can continue to remain employed), "obey NDAs", and so on and so forth.

Gathering the Informations.

Considering HBMC is in Australia, I find it hard to believe he has any kind of insider information.

I find it more credible, however, that he's taking the piss out of the "I know more than you do, but can't say anything because I'm under a NDA" people.

Well, I certainly hope it's not Cruddance and certainly hope it's Kelly. Hell, even Ward would be fine in my books over Cruddance.....else the Dreadknight will be a 0-3 selection in each FOC slot, with 3 twin linked las cannons, fly, scout and cure carcinoma every turn.

Imo due to this statement cruddance did an AMAZING job hiding the real issues with the IG codex :p Vendetta is just a smoke screen for the chimera

"Lord Inquisitor..."
"Yes, Captain Stern?"
"We're the Inquisition, right?"
"Yes, Captain Stern."
"And the Inquisition can requistion all sorts of crazy $h!t, right?"
"... Yes. What new toy do you want now?"
"I want...this big exo-suit...thing. Covered with weapons too big to mount on Terminator armor. That deep strikes. And I want to stomp around the battlefield like a mini-Titan, and rip $h!t up!!"
*sigh* "And what of the long and glorious history of Grey Knight Terminators - men in battle armor, standing against implacable horrors from the warp...?"
"With all due respect my lord, did you see the SIZE of that freaking Bloodthirster?! EFF that! I want armor for my armor!"
"Fine. Fine. I suppose you'll call it a 'Dreadknight' or somesuch?"
"Nah. I'm going to call it a 'Tactical Insertion Terminator Supplement' or maybe 'The Inquisition's Tactical Striker' or...
"I think I see where you are going with this, Captain."
"I know! 'Termintors In Tank Suits'!"
"That's enough Captain, I'll send the necessary paperwork to Mars..."

Am I the only one on here that thinks alot of the rules wrote down on here so far, seem over powered? I think the only way they will be balanced is to make them into the 20s for a basic PAGK

I'm going to report this to the "Committee for the Liberation and Integration of Terrifying Organisms and their Rehabilitation Into Society." Time to break out the bazookoids, Red Dwarf fans...

When I approached someone at GW about this "Dreadknight" rumor he said he had also heard it. Now all we need is a picture of this new killer robot. Unfortunately, with the GW HQ now having departed Maryland after more than 20 years here, I don't get nearly the level of lucky sneak peeks I used to at times. But my Advance Ordered Stormraven arrived today. It's definitely going into my long delayed Grey Knights painting project.

Rules thread: AKA, Wishlisting for bored folks.

No worries, KC, it'll be over-the-top but more than likely balanced with the other 5th ed codexes.

Yea thats what Im afraid of. I remember when 5th first started out everyone was bitching how over powered Orks are. Funny enough, you can crush Orks with, ALL the 5th edition codices. Weird.

You mean someone at GW, who doesn't work directly in the Studio or any facet wherein he'd actually have seen the Codex, has heard the same rumours we have?

My lord! It's absurdity!

Anyway... To avoid my urge to further derail the thread...

I'd assume that GK "DreadKnights" would have Force Weapons with the exact same function as Librarian Dreads found in Codex Blood Angels. Or are these DreadKnights not a replacement for the standard Dreads in the codex. Thinking about it, DreadKnights being a replacement for standard Dreads seems pretty stupid...

Other Dreadnaughts should just go somewhere and be a toaster.

Mattieu~~~~ It's not that eldar are bad, it's that they require a lot of intergration between units. Also, that doesnt prove anything other than GW has a huge hard-on for marines, and, given the option between making a xeno the best psykers or making a marine the best psyker, they will 9 times out of 10 choose the marine.

It won't replace Dreads. That WOULD be stupid - especially from a business perspective and customer satisfaction perspective. Oh, wait - this is GW we're talking about.

Confirmed where...

as far as i know the only things confirmed is the release date and them getting the stormraven (confirmed by gw on first back of stormraven box for second)

I was being sarcastic. Generally, you can count on GW to make poor business decisions, most especially if they piss off customers. Therefore, something that would be both stupid business-wise, AND make people angry - is nearly assured.

They won't take out dreads. This thing will be a special piece of equipment to help mark the Chapter out as unique, like the Baal Predator does for Blood Angles.
