Yeah, but wouldn't it be so much cooler with BLOODKNIGHTTITANFISTS?

This model which, to our knowledge may not actually exist? How cool would that added speculation be? And maybe there's some crossover! Maybe the Bloodknighttitanfist was donated to them by the Blood Angels, and Dante could be taken as a troop choice. Awesome.

The whole point of GK is that no matter how huge the monstrosity, it is brought down by one human with the power of faith and skill. Angron was banished by one dude. Why would the GK need a bigger physical machine to fight daemons?

Because it took 100 dudes. It was just one dude who landed the final blow.
Wrong.
100 GKT vs 12 Bloodthirsters and Angron. Only one GKT made it into combat with Angron and stood his ground. He then burnt out the entirety of his soul to banish Angron.

Weren't there 20 Bloodthirsters? It was q full company of Grey Knights versus Angron and a score of Bloodthirsters. Is a score not 20 (I get confused with old-timey words that mean numbers. Why not just use the number?)

No worries mate - I know you don't know anything. That's never been a mystery. What is a mystery though is how you can spell my username correctly... yet can't find the shift key. Bizarre no?

UltraPrime wrote:I have no problem with you 'knowing' things, but it helps if you say how. I don't need to know where, who or why, but knowing it is legit makes a difference

Ya see, it's one of those catch-22 problems. If I say how I know, then I will be forever cut from knowing any more, but if I don't say how I know, you won't believe me. Lose/lose. All I do is occasionally point out where something is wrong (ie. yes the Dreadknight exists, no it does not have 'Bloodfists', no the book is not a Cruddance book). That's about it.

I realise I'm not being very helpful, and I certainly don't do this out of spite (or even ego). I would love nothing more than to tell you about new background, weapons, squads, and the mighty Dreadknight, and many of you know how much I despise GW's insane (and inane) levels of secrecy, but it is a secrecy that I'm essentially stuck behind. And I hate that. But I have no choice. Reds8n's in the same boat BTW. He has his own outside sources separate to my own and like me he's grinding his teeth being unable to simply go "No you fools! It's called a ******* *******!". But he can't either. Maybe that's the way GW wants it? They have all these secrets, and any of us who find out those secrets live in fear of ever revealing them. It's diabolical!

I can say though that I haven't seen the GK Codex. That's the 100% truth. That doesn't make what I'm saying untrue however.

Actually my lord, I believe warseer came up with the name..its something of an internet meme, to tell the truth. Whether it is real or not is yet to be seen. Unless you admit to "Know something we don't"

In which case you will receive the below statement.

Hey H.B.M.C, those stars you've put instead of a name, do they correspond with the characters in the weapons name? If so, I guess "Blessed Gauntlet". If not, *shrug*, it was work time I was wasting.

The first part of that should be obvious to almost anyone. The second is actually a bit helpful to anyone with some patience. It does give a bit of direction to things.

Im still hoping its a Knight titan, or something of that scale. On one hand it would make sense to do it, it could cross over to all SM chapters, and SM are in dire need of something Apoc/superheavy sized.

On the other hand the fact that it would such a wildly huge success pretty much guarantees GW wont do it. Instead they will make a couple more SCs.

Regardless Im still looking forward to it, whatever it may end up being.

Hope all you want but sadly it's no where near that size (note - I have not seen it, but the description doesn't peg it to be any bigger than a Dread). Previous rumours for its armaments that came about via Warseer and Taco Bell are pretty close as well.

It's purely a term conceived entirely by Warseer; I saw it happen. Besides, other rumors peg it as having a Twilight-esque name.

Otherwise I'm beginning to suspect some extensive April Fools' joke surrounding this unit. Nothing's sounded right about it since day 1.

S7 Assault 12?!?!

I understand your reasons completely - I thought the idea of a 'Dreadknight' quasi-Dread was silly when I first heard about it - but it's real.

synack wrote:S7 Assault 12?!?!

I said close, not exactly. The rumours mentioned a Heavy Blast Psycannon and a Gatling Psycannon (or something like that). And a Jet Pack? Maybe. As I said, I haven't seen the Codex. GK's tend to do things with Teleportation rather than Jump Packs, so maybe it's like the Warp Spider and is Jump Infantry but doesn't actually have a Jump Pack per se.

The main point I'm getting a cross is that I don't know much about the Dreadknight, but like many others here from various sources I do know that it is real. And if the GK Codex is finished, which I have no reason to doubt that it isn't, then it will stay a Dreadknight forever more.

For me, more pentinent engine than matrix, but yes. I think it sounds quite cool as well and I expect GW should be able to make a pretty freakin' cool model of it. So I for one (two) quite like the idea of a Dreadknight.

As for it's name, I don't think it's that bad. It's a Grey Knight, almost dreadnought. Hence Dreadknight. We can all see the similarity and method there.
I mean, it's an actual true-to-life play on words!
It's not just shoving Knight, Blood or Wolf into the name of something, it's an actual play on words.
Bloodfist for example, is neither a play on words nor accurate as it is not a fist made of blood. Dreadknight on the other hand is...

And H.B.M.C and Red, I for one appreciate your honesty. I wish you could give more away rather than just the cryptic point in the right direction (could we just ask yes/no questions?), but I'm patient enough to wait and at least you have accuracy rather than speculation.

It's kind of vague as to what the rumor is referring to, though.
The rumor about a "special" Dreadnought is true. It has a really lame name (think Twilight).

Could go either way, but with Red and H.B.M.C. both piling on to say the Dreadknight is called Dreadknight... I do think it's referring to a SC dread.

8000 points of XI Legion the Space Vagabonds, they can adapt their tactics to represent any and every Legion and Chapter as needed because they were created by the Emperor to be the ultimate tactical power. They have faked their disappearance in order to infiltrate every part of the conflicts in the galaxy.

8000 points of Tau/Craftworld Eldar/Necron because the Space Vagabonds can also emulate their wargear and tactics.
