Enjoyed the batreps lately, last one was great. Wonderful news on the Adepticon, except that might tie you up a bit, I am sure you will cope though.

Will you guys be having the titan fight thingy? I could post you a little orky thing for someone to play with, maybe you know someone with a little space on a shelf who would like it?

Actually Cam, I'm not worried about being tied up... it'll keep me busy. Solar_lion's doing a couple of "knight fight" battles which I've promised to help him run... then there's the Bushido tournament. There will be another titan fight which I'll sign up for so one of my boys can play in that. I may sign up for a 40k thing... but I'm not sure. So many changes to 40k in the last year and I'm not up on any of them.

There's always shelf room for orky things... actually saw an old buddy last night and we'd talked about getting together for some 40k, even though neither of us has any idea what we're doing.

Not knowing what you are doing is one of the best ways to play. You tend to be less wrapped up in the rules and more hang-loose, let’s have some fun. A little less on the serious wargame, and a little more of some structure to hang out with friends and have a few beers while pushing some minis around.

IMHO, YMMV, etc.

That is REALLY cool. You do have the option of doing this in the Silvermoon reward scheme, but it takes 1200silvermoon points to do it. To get Silvermoon points you have to play new to you players at Silvermoon tournaments 10points per person, or beat an actual staff member at a game. So it could take years to develope enough to do this.

... or you can just show up on Sunday and kick everybody's butt! Sounds like a good deal to me and I'm not even playing!

Definitely the better option, and since it’s a sanctioned event you earn points too .

Also, I just got the special attack and defense cards, are they really needed, and what about the generic attack/defense card set? From the look of the special set they were more of just helpful bits of info than something necessary. I’m about to do another order and trying to figure out if I should get the card sets or just another 1-2 figs.

Bushido tournament filled after only 5 hours (which is pretty remarkable all things considered).
Added 8 more slots so now the "field" is potentially 32 players.

I'm stoked!

The reason (other than money) that I never get to go is that is the week of our anniversary, also usually my wife’s spring break and or my kids spring break . Also smack dab between all three kids birthdays, so funds just don’t exist even if my wife wouldn’t miss me on our anniversary . I’d love to go as I just finished up my Minimoto figs and ordered my second army (Temple of Ro-Kan), from Nobleknightgames.com. I think that’s one of your local shops isn’t it , have to support those who are supporting the game.

You need a copy of the updated rules. I can point you in the right direction. They're working on a Mk. 2 rule set, but no ETA on that.

I’m looking hard at what third faction I should start. I don’t want to compete with you on painting a savage horde, but they are in the running as buying a £29.95 starter and getting a £16.95 Oni character free is a pretty good deal, though I could do similar with Cult of Yurei and grab Gok for free. I need me a “good” evil army to fight my temple of RoKan and Minimoto Clan.

@Theophony: I'm just going to burn through them with an airbrush Theo, I won't be putting it much of a fight when it comes to painting them, so feel free.

Just tried to place my order, but I guess the coupon code expired at midnight their time . I shot them an email just in case they still want my money. As for the savage wave, I think I’ll let you handle them, I came up with an idea for a Silvermoon Syndicate group that will probably get me banned from the internet for life .

Thanks Theo. Each of his figures are patterned after a real snake. The big guy is a puff adder. I'm surprised they did a black Friday sale as opposed to a cyber Monday sale. Hopefully they'll honor your attempt.

Nicely done, been a while since I watched one of your reports, and you've vastly improved since then in the flow and the balance between 'Show' and 'Tell'. A system I don't own, in a hobby that I don't actually play in, and you still keep my attention. Helps that it's a very visual game and board.
