Nice stuff graven, you're really making good progress!

I also really like the libby style GKs. Maybe it's just that I really like the terminator librarian helmet design.

Very nice work graven!

The weeping angels is perfect for the Ghost Knights i have to say, i would have said maybe a touch lighter overall, but i like it...

@gits: well, I've decided that if I can get my various tagk done, I can paint something else for a bit. Maybe some SoB for retinues/allies. It also means I can finally finish the Corpses of Chaos

@ Reiko: fair point, although they are lighter in rl. Actually like it as a gk scheme generally!

Hopefully not being able to prime stuff means I can get on with actual painting. We'll see

forgot about the lack of lighting bulb....sorry. It would work wonderfully as a GK scheme, i agree!

Progress! Nice!

I also love those old GK, they were awesome. They looked great with other Termie arms too.
A favourite of mine was one who I'd given a pair of lightning claws and painted black/grey - bad-ass termininja

Nice ghost knights..

My only suggestion would be to brighten up the sword/ weapon edges a bit.

Cheers gang! And fair point S_L they could do with a bit more pop.
Got the base reds done on another 7 tagk tonight, along with a gk techmarine. I considered taking up the ones I'd already done up a level with orange because I'm not crazy about block painting. But, I figure that it's worth getting all the base colours down on the lot and moving on from there.

All reds done, all washed sepia. I've also started to block in colours on the 4 corpses of chaos that are on base already - a 1k son, Pink horror leader, Death Guard (that will be green, but I'm starting with a desert yellow base) and Skulltaker. You can also make out the Fallen Angel, BlackHand, Reaper, Violator and Horned Locust off to the right (it's a pretty big image, fairly zoomable).

Next up is golds on insignia, greens on books (mostly), and blues on psycannons. But, more importantly, this is progress!

Thanks chaps. And that big bottle of artist's grey you might be able to make out back left is great for urban terrain, it's fairly thin but drybrushes really well.

Thanks mate.
Bit of delay to progress - wife ill, kid 1 sick, parents set to invade, garage at least 50% more £s - fun times!

Meanwhile nerdfest09 is sponsoring a "Squad Leader" painting competition! The prize is the first-ever "Golden Bathtub" award (inspired by a photo that was so, so wrong) Here's the link: Nerdfest's Squad Leader painting competition. Do go join in the party!

Looking real good there now graven Painful, but worth it, that's going to be a heck of an army when done.

Sorry to hear RL is doing nothing to ease the middleagedrage.

Thanks for the votes of confidence guys! Long weekend, but parents invading. RL headaches elicit my rage, middle aged or otherwise. Still, got some work done on my assassins, and need to finish building Welshmen for Tuesday. Also sorely tempted to convert my scratch built baneblade into a fell blade...
Anyway, Deathwatch Comp results are up over here:
