So I have some decent shots of my poor crumbly arm lady -



She was meant to be character standard but I went a bit crazy on parts. The arm facing the camera here is all greenstuff above the elbow, liquid greenstuff at that, so there is a sligt off angle on it because I basically had to bulk up and fill the hollow with it so it would be strong enough to stay attached, but hopefully it's not that noticeable :(



I have no idea why her giant boob needed to be hanging out, there was a nipply molded on but I honestly felt it cheapened the whole thing and redid it as part of the cloth :S It's so damn out of place on such a good model.. so strange.




She is a tiiiiiny little fig, a Gaunt seriously overwhelms her in size, it was fun because she was in the cabinet next to my stripy nids and it looked like she was fending them off

Going to repaint her blonde for Whalemusic, so these are the only shots that will exist of her being a tiny Lt Ripley

Cool paintjob, but I feel no love towards that sculpt.... Sorry but I think the arm does look out of place :(

I do and I don't get (some) miniature designers' obsession with boobs. Obviously there's some appeal to the target demographic, but it rarely adds anything to a miniature and just looks daft most of the time (possible exception of Slaaneshi daemons where it's kind of in context).

Repair job is not noticeable as such.

I like her wound / blood and I like the green slime.

The nuclear slime is most effective. Smart paintjob all round; the super-boob is a distraction and I think you avoid it bring too irritating. The mouth is great, but whilst I like the Ripley homage I think blonde will work better as she's a bit monochromatic just now IMHO. Re: repair job - nice effort, shame you couldn't reposition her gun arm under it as if supporting a dislocated shoulder. But hey, I can dream really cool fig I'm just being super picky, sorry.

Um perhaps this could have been done on her website? I fully understand that disgruntled customers are allowed, but perhaps you could explain how she has lost you as a customer, in the most friendly and respectful way possible?

To keep it simple. She sold my squad and rhino. She stated they would be with her as long as it would take me to pay. She never told me ahead of time about a time limit and there was no heads up that they were gonna get sold with out my consent.

So she does state what happens in cases of non-payment. I'm taking your story to heart man, as I'm sending Iffy some things, and I've never gotten anything commissioned ever.

Yeah I should deffo explain that nasty situation, it was stupid and should have really been avoided.

Polestar didn't have the cash available when the commission was finished and asked me to hold onto them till he did. That's no problem, that can happen to anybody for any reason, so I said sure thing and I would hold onto them.

I automatically assumed that it would be a couple of weeks tops, maybe a month or so, so had no problem holding onto them, I shouldn't have done that, I should never assume things, which is what I learned from this. I'll be emphasising the 2 month limit from now on when payments due, I should have done that in this case but I'd never had the situation pop up and it didin't occour to me it could take that long.

I had them on my shelf for 6 months and eventually came to the sad conclusion that the commission was no longer wanted, so I sent a final invoice, waited another month, and then sold them to make up for the work done. Of course, as Irish luck would have it, Polestar contacted 2 weeks later with the funds ready to go, and I was sickened with the whole bloody thing.

He did nothing wrong, but by 7 months I honestly had given up and needed to get paid :( I'm sorry again it happened Polestar, I'll be mentioning it (nicely) straight away with finished commissions from now on.

Moral of the story is : If you can't pay someone for work done but are serious about getting it back, stay in touch so they don't think you don't care anymore when you may really do, and if you have a policy, don't try and be nice about it, just come out and say it so you can prevent silly situations where everyone loses :(

I get it, money problems happen to people, but I can't think of an actual company whose credit control department would be as patient to wait over 6 months for payment, so Ifalna has been more than generous in my opinion.

I would ask not to turn this into a hes wrong shes wrong thing, I don't see Polestar as having done anything wrong, just the situation as being something stupid we both could have avoided.

In any financial contract you are bound by the terms/contract/agreement… This should be viewed as " lesson learned and heads up “
Thou I have sympathy for you I think it's a little disingenuous to make the assumption that somehow Iffy has failed you! The responsibility and obligation was yours. Yours to pay and yours to communicate. She fulfilled her obligation and was generous enough to give you more time. I’m not seeing her actions regardless of the outcome as a failure on her part.
In this matter; the truth is you’re not her friend but her customer. I too have commissions with Iffy and expect her to fulfill her obligations as well as she should expect mine ( payment ) regardless of any perceived friendship or civility. Any other personal involvement ( banter – conversations ect ) is a pleasure ( and should not be assumed ) but does not IMO change our financial agreement.

Ifalna... I apologize if this is out of line and not my place.. I will comment no more on this out of respect for both parties.

In regards to the model above I feel that a fiery red-head would do wonders. Not a blonde haha. But I do agree with inmygravenimage that the black hair is lost on the model somehow. Regardless, I like the model and I think you did a wonderful job rebuilding the model after a disintegration. If it had happened with me she would have been bound for the garbage as I have no ability whatsoever in reconstructive surgery.

Honestly red would be nice..thou depends on how red.. easy to overdo it. Blonde might fade in too much with the clothing.
