This is Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2x Paint and Primer "Gloss Grape", with a wash of GW's Druchii Violet. I've put on a second coat of GWDV, which has gotten me to a nice, rich purple hue.

I’m looking forward to the new GW contrast paints as some of those colors are just wonderful, I think they have a purple that is pretty in line with what you got from the spray can, and if it highlights and gives definition like I’ve seen I think we will see more nonstandard marine colors out there.

PS: For those who aren't an old, this is the optional head for the Armorcast Reaver Titan, fairly rare. The seller threw it in as a bonus, and I thanked them very, very much for their kindness. Huge stan of sellers like these.

That is a sweet bonus, which head will you go for?

The purple is very nice, and you have managed a very lustrous gold.

Spoiler:

It's real gold.

I am honestly torn. While I'd like a unified 'look', IT IS A GRINNING SKULL. So, I guess I'll have a 'normal' spare for a 'find a buried titan' diorama or something.

Here are the parts laid out for assembly, tomorrow. Believe it or not, the torso/legs ARE a different color than the weapons.

Torso/Legs are basecoated with Rust-Oleum's "Oil-Rubbed Bronze", which is a DEAD LOCK for GW's "Warplock Bronze". Just sayin'.

Weapons are Rust-Oleum's "Black Stainless Steel", which is a very dark silver.

Both products are 2-in-1 primer/paint, which makes them perfect for light passes over plastic and resin.

There's also a clipboard of the perfect purple panel pieces, and the sprues contain the various handrails painted with the same silver, to be inserted into various locations, but I didn't feel like clipping off parts and noting their part # on paper. I do, however, have a pad for that (magnetic whiteboard material, printed with a grid, used for keeping track of parts when working on computers/tools/etc.)

Now, the patience I do not have, to let everything dry overnight.

One of these days, I need to set up a "proper" lightbox again. Until then, good enough. Taking a break, before adding final handrail details. Then, I have to figure out decals. Oh, hey! I have white toner!

Always love how AWFUL things look up close/sans a good lightbox.

Enjoy!

Wow, this is my first time seeing this blog and I’m on overload. The sheer scale and variety here are staggering. I haven’t had time to do more than scratch the surface so far. Early favorites are the AdMech Cultist-Servitors and the Carapace-armored engineers. I hope to find time to read through more. Pretty impressive work over a very wide range.

I like the sentinel squadrons. 1-2-3 and A-B-C. Very organized! They look great as such a large cohesive group, and it fits the 40k setting better, too.

So, aside from not listening to my gut when it said 'people's suggestions as to the thickness of the acrylic are WRONG'...

I'm pretty damn happy here. The acrylic looks good, and there's still plenty of room to "see" all the way into the back ranks.

I COULD triple-up the shelves, but I think that's overkill. If I wanted "raw storage" I'd just use KR Multicases.

The only problem with taking 68 photos and copious notes on my first attempt at playing StrikePoint...is that I now have to compile them into a USEFUL document...

...which means I need to get off my ass and get a website running. [Uploading 60+ photos and such to Dakka, and writing a post, is a little overkill for this platform.]

Le sigh.

Fantastic read, like it. Very interested to see how this one pans out, honestly bud really onto something here.

I love the idea of the dice by the way, having a customisation of that as a factor is nice to me. I have lots and will no doubt buy more. The guys from Dakka do a dice thing as well, maybe worth talking to them.

Thanks, Cam! Working on the rest of the playthrough, and a Glossary of Terms.

I've also posted the first "Developer's Diary", where I meander around thoughts and concepts behind the game.

Luckily on the Robotech front I was too poor at the time to back and by the time I had cash to late pledge the red flags were everywhere. Sorry for your loss .
