The water effects are looking great, tipios. I love the ripple effect. You should do a Grot Zen Martial Arts Master meditating on that effect.

Dying's the easy way out. You won't catch me dying. They'll have to kill me before I die!

Wow, that "rippling pool" effect really got me. That is some solid modeling skill right there, you completely nailed it.

As far as the table is concerned, show her your Dakka threads. Let her see the glowing praise and the yearning requests for more of your amazing work. Tell her it's more than a hobby, it's a responsibility. You have fans all over the world that are waiting to see your next and newest creation. She has to be understanding of that, right?

And if it helps, here's a couple pictures of my wife's kitchen table from a few months ago:

Hope that helps, and looking forward to the next update. You're really outdoing yourself these days.

Glad to see you're not dead yet, Tipios!

I can commiserate - the troubles with not having a real crafting/hobbying bench...I struggle with my wife as well vying for the dining table as she also spreads out with all her research for her masters! Going to be a long two years.

I went back and looked at the water effects again - brilliant!

I feel your pain Zeke.

Well make sure she passes her masters, then gets a good job, and buys you a house with a basement, only used for hobby

Hi all. Wow it's been over 3 years since I've done any work on any of my models. Long story short, wife had baby, stuff put in boxes for while. Now I'm between moves, and sorting out boxes and stuff. Been browsing dakka for the past couple of weeks, and the desire to make stuff has come back big time Obviously I need to get an Imperial Knight and Chaos it up, but for now my plan is to finish my Defiler, Dread Knight, and Killer can thingy.

.

Main problem is those items aren't in the box

Off to find more boxes!!!!!

Great to see you back mate, my girls almost 9months and I know how hard it is to fot hobby time in. Looking forward to progress on the Dreadknight. I have another one in a box still to build as a Forgefiend, I like what you have so far. What's behind the defiler mask?

Thanks Bio
9 months wow a few more months and she'll be climbing up the table to try and eat everything
I just bought a Forgefiend , because I want to do something interesting with that. So much for finishing stuff before I start anything new
Dreadknight as forgefiend ooooohhhhh cooool can't wait for that.

Behind the mask is a Forge World chaos Dread head.

Now mocking up the chains I want on the Defiler.

So bloody nice to see that blog restarting. Do you plan on converting your forgefiend towards a two legged pose ?

Me too Kernel

More work on Defiler today.

Big exhaust plus new armour.

Also decided to redo cannon arm.

I'm thinking of cutting down the cannon shaft to half the size, but my cause too many problems. Also mocking feet.

What might work is if you could push the rear cowling back towards the elbow more- maybe cut down the lower arm bit and just shift everything back, leaving the pistony bit of the lower arm intact.
