Not where I should be

Just checked your base again. Just a suggestion but stick it to a CD. Mine is on a CD and is very stable. In game terms I don't now, but for display purposes it's ok.

Are th round bits on his chest armor discs, or suction cups? If the first you should add him to your grot army as Grotimus Prime, if the second then grotipuss prime, but I think he needs some tentacles/ wires hanging out.

Add in a few rough-cut plates of metal (or some other ork-y looking things) and I can see that working.

You can always use sinker weights from fishing tackle for weight. I like to try and use heavy regular everyday stuff for weights. A battery, coated in primer and repainted works rather well, And through some rivets around the rims and presto you've got a barrel.

hey KC... what about the acid inside the battery? i agree a battery could look very good due to the shape ... lots of details and such... but i would be very hesitant to use hazardous materials... have you had already tried that? any still active models you could show? it be an educational value for all of us!

It looks good to me Vik, just was wondering since we've seen some cool suction cups lately from nerdfest

from where i am standing atm i can´t see any suction cups in my nearer future... or the farer future either... i have toyed with the chaos from time to time but i never got around to even start something remotly naughtly as them... tho i do apreciate the odd (of course odd after all it´s chaos) slaanesh model

at doc H... well i don´t know where to put these... any ideas?...also... since the grot fighter had a (acording to storag) jetson´s feel to them i wanted to keep the new model in a bit of a futuristc feel too... so a bit of gundam style should still be seen?

Oh, I see. Makes sense for that then.

It was just looking a little too clean and curvy for an ork thing to me, the legs in particular and I like what you did for the upper body.
As it's for Graven's competition I would say it doesn't look naturally Ork-y enough though... yet...

However I'm not much of an Ork tech' expert to help. If I was doing it I would look at Killa Kans and Deff Dreds to see what extra stuff is added to the frame to give it an ork feel. Rough metal plates were just my first thought, maybe some pistons or something (obviously rivets)...

Thats why I said to coat it with primer or even a clear coat before sticking it onto the model and then paint it. That way it wont rust. I have a couple that Ive used inside models, and theyve been in there for years with no problems. The only problem is I cant really show you pics of the actual battery, because in the 2 vehicles Ive tried it on, the batteries were put inside. But Ive yet to have any mysterious liquid puddles under the models

But as I said, you can easily goto any store that sells fishing gear and buy some lead weights. Those are cheap as chips. and plenty heavy. You can even melt them down in a tuna fish can and pour the lead into a mold you can make for better compartmentalization on the model. Just remember to do that in a well ventilated area. Unless you want your brain to turn to mush

Jeez....acid, lead vapours, super glue fumes, razor blades everywhere.....what the hell is wrong with us?

LOL.... yeah... what the hell is wrong with us... you know that doing the manly thing always involves a little hurt here and there

hmmm coating... yeah... that might work...

and the fishing gear... i think i also could use the odd shaped screws that somehow turn up in the screwdrawer by magic... you know these old screws you never bought?... i bet everybody knows about these right?

Fair enough. Keep at it.

by the way... did you recognize the "soupplate" helemt on the mechs head?

The short answer is "no"...
Not at least from that angle, is it from a previous model or an "ex" toy?
