I got something in the post today for my ZM board build I was really stuck about making so many bulkhead lights and getting them all the same, so I went ebaying to see if there was something i could use to represent them from a dollhouse or similar? but, as luck would have it I was browsing my subscribed threads and clicked a link from Machinator's thread to his store, what did I find? only the perfect set of lights so I emailed him and we worked out he would cast me a hundred of the larger ones for my project he even threw in a few little ones I can add next to doors etc.

I have a really good feeling about this project now, it's coming together nicely, Galorn is helping me out with some floor designs I can cast and then it'll be all systems go! but in the meantime I tidied my Nerd lair again and discovered a pile of sprues with leftovers on them, should find something fun on here?

and i even primed GFX's Celestial Lions Termies

In two weeks time i have some holidays coming up and plan on knocking out a lot of painting! I even bought 12 CD's from ebay to keep me motivated with new tunes I really want to finish my Sak, Gits Dread, Celestial Termies and my Hell-Bitches but we'll see how much other stuff lets me do eh!

Hey I've been thinking, for ur zone mortalis board, you could make a central area with lots of corridors around it with four entry points into the central area. So players could either move their units to the central area for a huge showdown or hunt each other down around the 'corridors'

don't do anything for me anyway as well as not fitting my theme

I already have mixed the 2 brands in my Slaanesh army, the Lord Azreema is Scibor and my Oblits are Hitech, i'm leaning towards the Scibor guy but I do really like the quality of Hitech, Scibor's details can be quite faint

the feel I want is sort of Poseidon Greek-esque marines! i'm even contemplating having all the marine helmets with the roman style crest on them? what do you think? I also need to figure out how to make the damn tridents?

I like your thinking, I was planning on making one or two or even three central themed open areas to use like you suggested, so have a medical facility/xenos operating room, a engine room, a command centre flight deck, and a ammo and parts storage room? i'd love any ideas for these types of rooms? what to add how to paint etc.

very cool idea along with the trident concept would be wicked cool. I think especially since your doing slaanesh you can make ones similar to the dark eldar trident....quick searchy.

Also there's a Lego trident, two different sizes, ones for bionicle which would be too large, the other is mini fig sized, which you might be able to easily convert.

Those are the ones I found also, I did a quick div through my Lego to try and find one of those or I think there's also a black version (they say they're bigger

), but couldn't find either quickly. I had an appointment to get to so ill look again later. All I could find were these

Put next to a chaos marine and terminator so you could see size. The spear should be about the same size height wise. Nothing else cut the top and put on a smaller shaft

Thanks for looking Theo :-) I went ahead and bought the set of 5 of them from ebay, I think they'll count as the thunder hammers on my Termies and I'll see if I can find one of the Ninjago lego trident weapons for my Captain as it's a little different and looks cool!

and just think, without your input I would have tried to make dodgy plastic ones! cheers dude! I shall name one of my Termies 'Theo'

Im sure you could look at Dr. H's tutorial and make sprue tridents, but ordering them is probably cheaper. the larger one I had in the picture could work for a dreadnought ccw, or a titan ccw.

I would like to show you all my Sak!

yes, I have finished painting my Hell-Sak and I like him

I took some advice and added some darker blue veins on the bloated body which look suitably varicose and nasty! I wanted to give him a 'bit more' when it came to details so I decided to paint part of the armour plating as if you could see the glow from an engine powered by warp spawned means

I think it suits with the milky blind eyes. All the Sak pics are linked to the gallery if you wanted to vote on any? and thanks to Gits for teaching me how to do that!

I also managed to get a fair bit of progress done on Gitsplitta's Ork Deff Dread

lots of weathering and a few glazes as well as his eye lenses and some engine work and oil stains, coming along looking good I think so far

I want to paint him like I see well used excavators and forestry trucks.

Actually damo, your pics AREN'T linked to the gallery... would love to vote on them. It is an extraordinary miniature. From concept to painting... very well done. I love the subdued OSL (most people overdo it), the filigree on the plates and the way the shading gives an unearthly glow to the wings.

Just love it.

Excellent progress on the dread too. I love your comment about excavators and forestry trucks. I work with (though not in) the US Forest Service so I know exactly what you mean. He's coming along swimmingly!

That looks absolutely glorious. The gilding on your sak really sets the the colors off, and is beautifully Slaanesh-y.

I'm quite enjoying the work on Gits' Dread, too. Very cool weathering. What are your stages so far as the yellow's concerned?
