I did my first round of greenstuff work last night. Modified the boots to become SoB boots, sculpted the inside of the little vent bits from SoB greaves, fixed up the eviscerator handle a bit, and did a bit of gap filling on the neck and pauldrons as well as sculpted the wings on the left pauldron. Lastly, did the first layer for her ecclesiarchy icon.

So I did a bit more sculpting yesterday.



The hand on the handlebar is proving to be problematic. I'll figure something out, but the fingers snapped off and I'm having a hard time attaching it to the handlebar or a piece of rod to sculpt around, AND have the fingers attached to the rest of the hand, and stay stable.

Have you thought about just replacing the handlebars? Just sculpt the hand around the rod, the glue/attach the rod to the bike. It’s not like there is a lot of detail on the handlebars that you would miss by cutting them off and replacing them.

Full discloser: I am not a sculptor, just spitballing ideas.

Thanks! Thats actually not a bad idea at all, I have a few spare pair and the hand will be close enough to the close end that it could easily obscure the glue seam. Thanks!

Things are mostly together. Basing is left, and I plan on redoing the cloak when I have a bit more time, hopefully next weekend, but my first game with the league is on Wednesday.

Your biker cannoness is looking pretty awesome, and the addition of non-standard gear makes her very memorable The eviscerator is certainly OTT, (Is it longer than she is?) have you thought about shortening it at all?

The eviscerator is definitelly huge, it's more along the lines of Gabriel Seth's chainsword than the repentia ones. I hadn't really questioned it. Due to the campaign rules, she has space marine stats, so I kind of like having a honking great weapon to show that.

Noooot gonna be painted by wednesday, no....Hopefully I'll be able to get at least some done over the weekend though.

The bike looks nice what does it count as? I know Adeptus Sororitias don't have bikes :S

The custom campaign character rules allow for stealing up to 2 pieces of wargear from another codex, so I took a bike and artificer armor from the BA codex. All told, she's a 186 pt bike with the normal canoness rules, rerollable 2+/4++, t4, eternal warrior, str 8 eviscerator, and hit and run. She's super tanky and can hit pretty hard, and I'm looking forward to pairing her with a BA grav bike and priest squad.

I worked on my bike canoness some more, finished up most of the modelling and got a couple basecoat colors on. I had a mishap while I was working though...



...My paints had settled over the last few years and I got a bit overzealous trying to squeeze out the Gory Red. Whoops. Luckily, it missed my mini.

So here she is, with a bit of color that's in dire need of cleaning up and detailing. She's been performing really well in the league so far, and even got me enough votes to win the prize for coolest character mini in the league!

Wait so your telling me for a tourney you can have one character steal max 2 items from a different codex? or is it just for a planetary invasion campaign?

My FLGS is running a campaign league with special character rules they came up with, it's one of those options.

I've been working on something to accompany my sisters into battle...what I'm calling a Leviathan-Pattern Cerastus Knight Castigator of House Rouennais. Not sure yet if this one will be the Queen, the Ace, or the Jack.

House Rouennais continues to grow slightly.

I picked up a few more kits and have started some work on a Cerastus Knight Acheron. First up, the reaper chainfist. But 40k titan chainfists really aren't very fisty. So I made a fistier chainfist!

Cool blog. I'm also stoked to see SoB projects, especially those that are conversion heavy.

What's left on this are the igniters and igniter fuel pipes, some greebling and plumbing details, and the perforated cover at the tip of the flamer, like basically all imperial flamers. Any ideas for how to make a cowl like that, hopefully with a bendable perforated...something?
