Well today I completed a few maps and some jumping puzzles in Lions Arch, was pretty damn fun. Also found a karma vendor at the end of one puzzle selling weapons for about 10k karma lol. Only about 9k karma to go and I can get one!

Glad to know you got that guild confusion worked out. I heard that that was happening but didn't know it was effecting the Dakka guild

So far I haven't had that many glitches myself. Let the downloader run all day yesterday while I went to the shop and practiced some painting, came pack late at night and everything was good save that one glitched skill quest in the Sylvari zone (that's fixed now though).

I'm running the downloader right now, myself. No glitches yet, but I can't seem to confirm my email to them.

Yeah, they mentioned this was a problem with their system. You should be able to play regardless.

Same. Whenever I click the link in the email they send me I get an error page, so that seems to be glitched at the moment.

Dakka has a guild? Noice.

Can I have an invite once I get in the game?

Currently? No.

I'm the only one with invite rights and somehow I've been kicked out of the guild according to my guild panel... Other people are saying theirs still shows me as leader though.

Do guilds disband if every person leaves them?

That way you could keep whatever name you've given it and just reform.

Although I think some people have used Tomes of Influence on the existing guild, how many of you have done that?

This game is awesome. I've played GW1 for a while now, since 2008 or so, and I'm really liking the changes in GW2.

Only one thing I'm confused on, GW1 you could level with quests super easy (I got 1-20 in 2 days with Factions), but in GW2 I can't seem to find a good way to level.

Especially since my next story level is 1-2 levels above me after I finish one.

How do you guys level?

Farming, thats it.

Doing events and personal story, it's a flat levelling curve so it's not really hard to level if you just explore the world and do what flashes up on your screen.

I usually complete all nearby events before working on my story, then do the story until it's two levels above me, then find more events to do.

This is one of the few games that even the FPS obsessed friends of mine who routinely take the mick out of MMO's think actually looks good.

Visuals and more 'mature' attitude from the lore and mechanics has a lot to do with it.

Got my list of Norse names prepped and ready.

So, figured out what was wrong. It wasn't GW2's fault my computer was crashing, it was my GPU dying.

So I've replaced my old GTX 570 with a brand new GTX 670, and once GW2 finishes reinstalling, I can't wait to pump that AA to some absurd degree.

And for some reason, my account validation email link is still not working. And unless they've fixed it in the last two hours, neither is my Hall of Monuments.

Guilds are still fething up... I'm now unable to represent the new guild (Dakka Korps Tyria) but I'm still shown as being a member...

From the GW2 facebook, a few common issues they are working on fixing atm:

"* Guild Issues: This includes guild membership rosters not showing correctly, guild leaders not seeing themselves in the guild, issues with receiving guild invitation notifications, etc.

Anyone know somewhere I can get decent advice on laptops?

I need a new one that plays this game on decent enough settings.

If you can help yourself I was wondering if this could run the game well enough. I don't have a massive amount of money to spend and wont have in the near future.

Without clicking on the link though, it has an AMD A6-3420M, 2.4 GHz, 8 gigs of RAM, and an AMD RadeonHD 6310.

Better than what I have, and it seems decent value for money.

I think that one was a quad.

Shrug. Depending on the GPU it might be able to handle GW2.

We have a new guild? Darn, I spent my Tome on our old one.

The game's alright, I'm just playing it while waiting for Pandy to come out so I can jump on that.

But the game itself is pretty well done, can't say much though. Mostly like WoW and every other MMORPG I've played cept with different lore of coarse but thats about it, but I'll keep playing till September 23rd or whatever the release date for Mists is.

I got an invite to the guild but I cant accept it. Ill just keep an eye on it for when I am able to join though.

Guilds are screwed at the moment, it's entirely possible that some fix will pop up and I'll appear back in the normal guild. Until then there isn't much we can do, my 2nd attempt at making a guild failed too -.-

Being in a guild.

For several leaders it doesn't show the guild exists and lots of people can't actually accept invites.

I'm unable to accept either invite. So I'm gonna have to wait to join the guild.

On the plus side, was playing my thief and I found a great Mighty Greatsword for my warrior The thief, sadly, is stuck using a pistol and dagger (in that order).

I got accepted into the guild around an hour ago.

Corpses, it also says that you are a member again.

I've managed to represent Dakka Korps Tyria again, normal Dakka Korps is still invisible to me though.
