I tend to heal a bit with my ele when Im in a keep seige because I only have medium range for most of my attacks.

1 heal is aoe and has about 40sec cd the other is a cone for a small amount on maybe 20 second cd, thats not really enough to make me think of myself as a healer.

I said maybe because I haven't looked hard at the Ele. I knew they had some healing in their water abilities, but I have no idea whats in their utility or trait skills.

You have to take in traits and utility skills (as well as the five slot heal). Warriors for example have only 1 heal on their own. But take one of their trait skills and they can have 4 heals because it makes shouts healing (and shouts are good for buffs too with low cds on some).

The mesmer is the same. They don't have much healing on their own but can make their clones (or was it the phantasms?) healing and those can be spammed fast based on what weapon and utility you have equipped.

Looking at the Necro they can do a mountain of healing if they want. making siphons heal allies, wells cause siphons, wells healing. There's a lot they can do to heal a group.

Staff, focusing on lightning.

But my main focus is my warrior, haven't leveled my ele up as much. My warrior has ten points put in arms and one in might thus far. Currently I get extra precision for each passive signet I have-- my final build will have five signets anyway (Healing, Might, Fury, Dolyak, and Rage for Elite) and I'm using rifle anyway as my primary for now.

Can someone make me a Mighty (Masterwork) Bronze Greatsword, or perhaps give me some of the fine crafting ingredients necessary to make one myself? My old greatsword feels weak compared to my level twenty masterwork rifle, and I'm frankly out of ingredients for bronze-level gear at the moment-- I'm still needing to make a masterwork vital helm and resilient pauldrons for myself as it is.

Welp I'm stuck. Apparently Stealing Secrets, the first quest for the Order of Whispers is glitch and uncompletable. Good thing I took the time to level all four of my other characters to 15 so I have time to do something until they fix it.

Oh yes! I just hit 60 and that lets me get the Grenadier trait and it's amazing. I can out-range most players and rain grenades from above as they futily poke the gate walls with their dinky weapons.

Add in the Elixir Gun for aiding allies on the walls and Deployable Turrets + Turrets, and it's amazing.

Also, it's hilarious when anyone even dares to follow you underwater. They explode.
The only problem is that grenades don't track to well against people ascending in the water.

I dont like underwater fighting much, i cant tell how close i am to my opponent sometimes, especially in larger fights, and its quite hard to navigate, specifically downward.

Oh, I've been focused on area completion, so for me, it's like nine percent. I HAVE completed about four areas though.

Interesting little tidbit for those who prebought the standard edition(unsure about other ones dunno if you got a normal copy of the game included) but in the physical copy of the game there is a piece of paper with another code on it to actually have a second login for free! I know it works too as I have tried it and now my dad is playing the game too.

20%

Lornar's Pass was... something.

Oh, and for the record, Necro healing is kind of mediocre. I play a dagger necro, and it's great fun, but the lifesteal is crap.

I would like to see Anet do something to allow you to create a proper blood necromancer. More skills where you sacrifice life or gain life and whatnot.

That's supposed to be your actual pass for the game.
The code you got for prepurchasing is to let you play for a certain amount of time until the release.
Once you get your physical copy, you enter that code in.

Otherwise, your prepurchase code is supposed to stop being valid within these few days or whenever Anet thinks is a good threshold for people getting their boxed copies in.

Kindly ask for your account back from the person you gave it to. You'd end up losing the progress on your trial account though.

Otherwise, just buy a new copy. Since it's a trial key you should currently be on, it'll probably prompt you by time it is cancelled to buy a full account. You should probably get to keep your stuff then.

If all else fails, there's always support. Expect to be the laughing stock of IT for a while though.

Wel never thought i would play this game..

but.. i got a free copy of it this weekend.

First impressions...

Characters look nice.
World Graphics felt like crap compared to the games im used to.

After getting to level 6 the graphics felt fine as i got used to them. (i guess the whole initial wow...these are outdated graphics went away)

I got Guardian to level 18 is all.

So far its amusing, enough to keep playing.

I kind of wish the would fix the auction house... Along with had forums that worked, it would be nice to read some on the classes to know what im getting into as i enjoy pvp.. but dont want to end up with a crappy class for it.

Since GW2 doesnt have Working forums.

Here are my current questions since i dont see a good source to find the answers.

Class Guardian

1: Is the Guardian Viable at healing/Support build ?
2: Tank build that is actually good ?
3: DPS ?

4:How do raids /Bosses work later on ? Tanks and healing speced characters as always ?

5: Is there stat differences between races ? If so where does it say this ? / A list.

6: is there a base stat difference between Classes ?

From this post I'm guessing you're coming from WoW or a massive troll.

1. Yes the guardian can heal/support (mostly the latter) as all classes can.

2. Trying to tank in gw2 is a great way to rack up your death count, in general avoid tanking more than a single hit.

3. "DPS?" Isn't a question, do you mean what is a good DPS build for the guardian? If so Sword/Torch and lots of burning tends to give pretty good DPS.

4. There are no raids and trying to Tank/Spank will get you killed quickly, the best tactic depends on the Boss.

5. There are no stat differences between races.

6. There are no base stat differences between professions.

Not really trolling btw

but Soo to get this right

No Raids.. Just random world bosses from events ? (So far they have been a zerg fest Maybe this changes later on ?)

No Dedicated Tanks at all, try to tank something big and your dead

No Good healing class to keep above tank alive. ( i get the whole dodging concept, but i figured it would be for the large wind up attacks they do is all)

Every class can run as Heal/support ish, but nothing dedicated

Im not seeing any positives to play a Melee based class, but rather one more toward ranged. (Yes every class has range but doesnt mean its good or build well)

and no, i didnt play wow much, This game is just a bit odd is all, and im trying to give it a shot. So far it kind feels like im playing Rift, without and Dungeons.

Also trying to figure out how the game works (Hated Gw1 so didnt play it long) to get past the complaints i have.

Melee classes do a LOT more damage per hit than ranged classes do, two-handed melee weapons also hit everything in their swing arc as default.

There ARE dungeons but they are for a maximum of 5 people so I wouldn't really call them raids...

And GW2 is only like GW1 in it's setting and dev team, the gameplay is totally different.
