If you say so.
See, when people ask for money, and I give it to them in return for something, I expect them to be a little politer than, say, the cashier at the grocery store when they're communicating things to me.
But of course - that's not true for you. Someone would actually have to start cussing or punching you before you'd complain about customer service.

Cinc, with due respect, drop it.
Both of us have criticized the behavior and indeed the tone of other campaigns, and both of us have been told we're some variety of 'entitled" or "whiners" or "greedy".
The one thing that is indisputable is that everyone thinks that their complaint is justified, and the people that are happy rarely are able to see the value in the complaints of others.
The urge to defend a company you believe in must be tempered by the knowledge that simply attacking people that aren't similarly satisfied will only increase ill will and indeed spread it around.

Is the gameplay of this going to overlap with Zombiecide at all? Having not gone in for either, they seemed awfully similar with the "famous character x" and "famous character x Zombie/Infected version!"
Not sure if those versions are playable / come with rules? But the ideas are so close, and of course both from CMON.

...Well, I'm not a ZC player but I've seen enough of that game and this one to say that no, they're completely dissimilar.
Do remember that both games were designed by completely different studios with little to no input from CMoN - they just do the actual production. Design is not what they do - they help the guys who do that get their stuff to market.
the premises of both games are completely different, too. Sure, Strain have a bit of a zombie feel (albeit tech-zombie) - but that's really the only similarity.
SW is an asymmetrical 'opposed' play 1 on 1 boardgame - bit of a skirmish TT game, on a grid.
ZC is a cooperative game with challenges being provided by the game mechanics - sort of a primitive AI, so to speak.
Also, and again I do NOT have a ZC set nor have I actually played the game: it seems a bit more 'simple' to play. Now for what I've seen I'm kicking myself for being too late to get in on the ZC KS - I really think it's a great game to play with a bunch of friends, with a couple of beers - but it's more straightforward with more simplified mechanics.
SW has much more of a tactical feel.
I don't think I'd want to play ZC as a serious game for all that long - it's a fun game and it'd probably serve in that capacity for a hell of a lot of hours of great fun - but it's not a deeply tactical experience.
SW appears (and sure, we'll have to see if it actually delivers on that promise) to make for a kind of game I wouldn't mind playing (somewhat) competitively -- without the alcohol

Fair enough, and point taken. Personally, I still think people need to temper their expectations in regards to updates when there is nothing to update, but then again I'm not a huge micro manager.
I also was never "burned" by whatever C'MON was before it was C'MON.
All I know is that I didn't get a ton of updates for Zombiecide but it arrived at my home better packaged than anything I've ever received and in a perfectly reasonable amount of time. I look forward to the day I come home to Sedition sitting on my doorstep, but I'm not stressing out about it.

Really like those new sculpts - I'm stunned by how closely strain-Ramirez and the guy from Dead Space resemble their concept art, and especially pleased about the latter as he was in my order!
Ramirez looks pretty nice as well, I like the way she has the support-arm thing coming from her armour.

Again making assumptions. You might as well just ask for your pledge to be refunded!!!

Perhaps we should complain about the mechanic some more though.

In a rather pleasant surprise I found out when checking my pledge I had pledged for far more stuff than I remembered. This is what happens when I pledge on holiday, yay!
I'm also impressed with how well mcvey have grasped this whatever plastic type of casting technology. All those little tendril bits on and flesh webbing on the strain models is suhweet!

It's awesome that you feel you can speak for the majority.
Also awesome that you describe anyone who doesn't agree with you as one of the "entitled whiny few". What's rule #1 again? Shall I retort with something equally colourful?
But really. I gave them money. That entitles me to feel entitled.
You know, to updates, courtesy and professionalism. Just like when I buy or pre-order anything else.
I'd rather see them take 2 whole minutes to post a small "everything on track" update every week or so than long periods of not telling us anything as we had for quite a long time. Well, if they could do it without being snarky.
To put it another way - Dreamforge Games was also supposed to be in hand in October, but Mark has regularly updated his backers, and done so respectfully, and the feeling/mood over in his thread is quite different to this one. A lot more positive and understanding.
On the sculpts (which I missed earlier) - I quite like the non-mutated ones. I'm not worried about Niven not being "dynamic" - not everyone needs to be running or leaping or shooting, IMO. I'm less keen on the mutated Ramirez, though I like the Niven one.

I have a question: Does anyone know if we can change or modify our ship-to address on the CKPM this late in the game? My wife and I have the only street in town with no mailboxes, so we automatically get Post Office boxes (PO boxes).
But very recently the main hub sorting our mail changed their requirements so we have to add the PO box number to our incoming mail address or they try to charge us an additional service fee, even for junk mail (read: janky rip-off).
The address I gave the Kickstarter doesn't have the PO box number, and I don't want the jerks to try to penalize me for an address given 6 months ago not conforming to a rule that's three weeks old. I'm not in the mood to argue with bitter postal workers, lol
Especially as I can change my address to the one of my parents', whose house I still travel past every day to and from work.

That assumes CMON gets the email, and reads it and then acts upon what they read. Not an assumption I would be willing to make.
I would wait until the 2nd or 3rd and try to call them as well as email them, and keep tryin until you get a reply.

The shipping address can still be edited in the CKPM that hasn't been locked yet so I'd change that straight away then email them at kickstarter@coolminiornot.com with URGENT change of address for Sedition Wars shipping as the subject to confirm (the CKPM my still be editable but the shipping labels may have already been printed from the existing information). I've also heard that it can be easier to reach them if you contact one of the staff directly through their forums.

Ramirez is brilliant! I think that it's going to be a joy to paint both versions of it. Good job!
As for the KS timings etc, come on guys, anyone getting on board of these crazy projects should assume from the start that, well... schedules are hardly accurate and many things can change the most well planed project... that's the difference between investing on a KS or buying something already produced and on sale.
Even when things are already on the shops sometimes there's not enough stock levels or distribution sucks... So yes if you have issues with being flexible towards where you put your money then just don't invest.
There's also a HUGE deal of risk regarding these KS's, you never know how the quality is going to turn out in the end and if the things are even going to be produced etc...
Me personally I love minis but I dislike investing on KS's or Indiegogo's because well I rather wait and buy when its available ( even if I lose the deals) because waiting MONTHS for a huge chunk of minis is just not for me... WIth that said I managed to get into these Sedition lted stuff from a friend that was kind enough to order some for me, but if that failed I would save my money and buy them on salute or something.
