I haven't gotten my box yet, but I did get a tracking number last night. Looks like mine wasn't actually tendered to FedEx until yesterday.

Don't lose hope just yet - plenty of ZC backers got their boxes before their tracking numbers

My box arrived today and have to say I'm very happy with the quality overall. No complaints here in the plastics, rigid and durable feeling. Can't wait to start putting models together. Did a few dry fits to see how the alignment was and all went together fine. Just some flash clean up to do but was expected. The tiles I expect to last through normal use, standard quality and very nice graphics.

If you aren't happy then don't know what makes you happy then. This is a good looking board game and going to look even better painted. Looking forward to building Mars station from worldworks to make new terrain.

how do you rate them compared to

Games Workshop plastic mini?
Wyrd miniatures plastic
Privateer Press

if at all possible?

are they HeroClix quality or a bit better?

Far better than Heroclix quality. Harder than Wyrd plastic, those models feel soft to me. I'd put these between GW and PP in how it feel. The witch has a long barb off the hand and it wasn't all bendy or warped. As for hardness it passed the finger nail test of pressing into the plastic. As other have reported it is a smooth slick like surface. I've not started removing flash yet but I alway use new blades on each project. Usually don't have issues with most clean ups because of that.

This is a good quality set of minis for a board game. Only complaint so far is organizing the flow of the rulebook. Game setup was mid book the scenarios at the end. Felt that all should have been together. Also had to flip back and find what to roll for a status check since it wasn't with the list of status effects. Minor stuff but would help the flow.

Sorry for being a bit alarmist yesterday, after thinking about it, I realize I have very limited experience with plastics (GW, Wargames Factory [their new WW2 stuff, so decent quality], and Zombicide) so I am probably not the best person to judge on quality. Added to that is the fact that my x-acto knife's blade has not been changed for years and is very dull.

Is anyone else who has gotten it having as much trouble with warped or bent parts as me? So far I have found the Grendlr's parts to be badly warped and the female trooper's rifle arms to not fit either female trooper (as they tried to make the arms for both), and the brimstone's front legs to be bent badly inwards.

I got mine yesterday and still don't have a tracking number, so it seems to vary between people.

I agree on the odd layout of the rulebook I also noticed a lot of typos throughout the book, especially with punctuation (lots of ? instead of .). Also, I notice a mention of "secondary objectives" in the setup section, but they are not mentioned after that and secondary objectives do not appear in any of the scenarios.

That would be your problem, right there. Get a sharp knife and try cutting instead of scraping, and you'll be fine.

It's a different material than the hard plastic you're used to but really, it just needs a little love

I am generally quite impressed with the overall quality of the models. Having got used to the stubborn mold lines in my Dreadball set I now know what I am facing!

I was worried that some of the details would be lot in the transfer to plastic but from the comments and pics that does not seem to be the case.

I am looking forward to the next wave now. Very crious to see how the terrain turns out especially!

Someone already has one up on ebay for like $250. I don't see it fetching that much but it should be fun to watch what they go for.

I got mine in! It's exciting. For the record, I did NOT get a tracking number before delivery.

Everything does indeed seem to be of great quality. Those photographs you're seeing tend to dull the details.

The tentacley-strain-guy does indeed have an awkward fit primarily due to being multiple parts.

The heavy gunner guy, has such a mess of components that it's hard to understand what is what. The sniper girl isn't far behind if only because her right arm is so dainty. I can see how non-modellers would find this board game to be a nightmare.

The red markers have a satisfyingly snug fit on the bottoms of the provided bases. I had slight difficulty removing the marker without effort.

I did a full inventory, and I seem to be missing a single base. Considering I opened both bags of bases simultaneously, I'm not sure which bag had the missing base.
Everything else checks out just fine assuming the pile/mess of the special characters' parts are all accounted for.

EDIT: Scratch that problem with the missing base. After looking through the cards:
I have an extra Samaritan Reaver body
Instead of a helmeted female body, I have a helmetless female body.
I have an extra female rifle

Everything pretty much balances out such that 20 Vanguard Riflemen (of different variants) with a single extra rifle.
Additionally, I have an extra Vanguard Reaver body without a gun or a base. He'll probably en up being a base decoration for a strain model.

@Absolutionis
would you happen to be TrystanGST (guessing not) or Kiko on the Studio McVey forums? If not there seem to be several people reporting the exact same 'spare parts' which given how such minis are packed probably means we all get the extras.
...How much work would it take to get that spare rifle onto the reaver body?

I believe the second reaver was 'replaced' by the $140000 Barker Zosa stretch goal? Could be mistaken, though.

I have the same extra Reaver with no arms and extra rifle. He came in the bag of extra figures for the Kickstarer, as there are 2 in the base game and 1 in the extra figures with arms. There are 12 other Samaritans than the armless Reaver in the Kickstarter extra bag, which is the number for the stretch goal, so he seems to be an extra body that was accidentally included in the Kickstarter extra bags. Seems we all get a free base decoration then (maybe the Reaver that Grendlr is eating on the front of the box?)

I look at the forums, but I'm not on them. I guess it's safe to assume these spare parts are common.

I read the Barker Zosa stretch goal announcements, but it doesn't indicate that he replaced a Reaver.

Regardless, you get three of each heavy weapon, and it seems intentional. The heavy weapons come on a triple-sprue with one of each of the three weapons (Reaver, Lancer, Grenade Launcher). You get three sprues in the Biohazard pack.

As for converting the extra Male Reaver Trooper to hold the female rifle, I doubt it's going to happen easily. The male Reaver bodies are missing their entire arms; the Reaver gun contains these missing parts. The female rifle bits are daintier than the male counterparts and have only the left hand. You're going to have to sculpt the whole left arm.
The extra Reaver body seems unintended.

I got home and no game. I got my tracking code, but Fed Ex doesn't recognize the number so I can't even see when it's coming ....

I severely hope that the plastic lives up to my expected quality. As someone who's had a hard financial year after Sedwars was already bought and paid for, I have already had a couple of phases where I had some severe regret about pledging for SedWars, instead of spending less to get material for the games I already have, but barely play as it is. At least a small 40K army would be another army.......

As it is model-wise, I am greatly disappointed by the lack of anything solid linking the minis to their bases other than superglue, which if the base material is sub-par, won't hold together worth a damn. I was hoping for a plug under one foot, at least. If the plastic ends up being what I would judge sub-par, I will truly be a sad panda, and might look into Ebay to at least get back what I spent.

I only use super glue for my models and they hold to the bases just fine. The only time I use an additional item (like a pin) is for specialty resin bases.

The more images that are coming the more excited I'm getting.

You're in the US, it's being delivered via USPS. Try that.

The base material is just fine. It's solid. The models are also light enough that they likely won't get dislodged from the base too easily even if you drop them.
Source: I drop tested a model.

If in doubt, consider placing a very small amount of epoxy putty (of the coarse grain white kind) on the bases along with super glue. I've found that this even holds metal models to any basing material including stone, brick, or cork.
Worst case, you can go hardcore overkill and pin everything.

I'm guessing that unlike this game, games you play now don't require you to snap markers onto and then back off of the bottom of the figure base...

I am worried at superglue holding with repeated use of those markers.

If it's the stuff it's said to be it's pretty damn sturdy and that CA glue will hold it to it's base just fine. However, it's always a good habit to pick up models by the base, not the model itself.

Its FedEx smart post. Basically it is fedexed to your post office, who then delivers it.

So he is right. USPS will be DELIVERING the box, FedEx is just driving it most of the way.

Edit: I SHOULD be getting mine Thursday. Of course knowing the post office, it could be days later.

I'm having an issue and I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same thing. It looks as if there is one rifle arm for two poses of the human non moving figures. I only have two guns to choose from and the arm for the walking figure fits fine. On the pose with the helmeted head the arm fits. On the other helmet less figure not so much. I have linked a picture to better show what I'm talking about. To get the hand lined up at the wrist of the left arm the right arm simply doesn't match up at the shoulder. It's not long enough to both attach properly at the wrist and at the shoulder. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The plastic these figures are molded in are a real pain to clean. It's such a hard plastic removing mold lines is a nightmare. I was successful in placing half of the Grendlr figure in hot water to get it just a bit pliable so I could get the halves together without a huge gap at the neck.

I’m sure glad GW is going to all plastic, so the ever-rising cost of white metal won’t impact the cost of their miniatures.

Again: Use quality files and quality new blades when cleaning up and cleaning up should be no problem.

After spending that much money on a game you should not try to save a few cont on the tools. (Which btw, goes for anything TT-gamers buy. I too often seem them spend hundreds of dollars on miniatures only to tret them with crappy tools and then wondering why the result is so bad.)

I think I am going to have to put my female troopers under the knife to fix their posture. The way their pelvis is tilted in relation to the line of their back looks incredibly uncomfortable.

Looks like it will require carefully taking off the legs from the pelvis, separating the torso where the abs are, repositioning and pinning the torso back to the pelvis and filling the cavity with green stuff, and repositioning the legs.

Shame they didn't come as modular parts, but I guess I get to have a variety of posing styles this way, even if it does take more effort.

I have had the same problem, the female rifle arms only come in one style for the two female figures, and dosn't fit the helmetless one well.

As to it being hard to clean, I think you need a new knife blade. I as having the exact same problem when trying to clean it with an x-acto knife, and only realized te blade was very dull after seeing a coment about changing blades on this thread. After getting some new blades, the figures clean up really easily.
