Great to see the Hellbrute is 8 parts - looks pretty easy to customise, e.g. with different heads, and not that difficult to convert to a different pose.

It's pretty laughable that the local reseller I'm getting mine from was told he couldn't ship till the 31st ensuring nobody actually has their starter set until at least 2 days after it is released meanwhile GW Direct is getting them to people 2 days early.

And then they tell us the reason they banned international sellers from selling to Australia is to support the FLGS, yeah right, real supportive GW.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

That's beside the point, all I'm saying is that their words don't exactly align with their actions.

I'm content with the discounted price I'm getting without having to go overseas, just saying, cracking down on early releases by re-sellers and then releasing direct versions early doesn't exactly help the re-sellers flourish and form a strong community.

Mine shipped yesterday, and not to the local store, but to my home adress . So I'm expecting delivery in the middle of next week, perhaps before said date. If they'v not put some kind of hold on the delivery.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

False alarm chaps, they've not shipped anything.

I called this morning to get my tracking number, since their automailer never bothers to send it to me via email, and apparently the "we've shipped your product" emails go out automatically when the warehouse team package your order up to send, but in this case they're not actually sending them immediately as they normally would, they're just packing all the orders up in advance ready to send starting from midnight tonight.

The absolute earliest anyone will get them, according to the chap on the phone, is tomorrow if you paid for overnight. Which means I wasted a fiver on Express, because mine may well not show up until monday or tuesday. Super-annoyed now.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks
-----
"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

Odd considering the previous page had pics of the sprues so some people have them. I'll chalk that up to the right hand not knowing what the left is doing.

I'd say that telling people you've shipped their stuff when you actually haven't is very bad business practice.

Nope. More like they were lifted from the GW blog.

I am fascinated by the amount of detailing on the Helbrute. I wonder if that external piece of armour on the DCCW is some sort of retractable claw thing, like blood talons...

Received the limited ed. today via fed ex, had ordered it on Saturday from the GW site and received shipping confirmation number on Monday. Here is a couple pics of the sprues I took with my phone. Overall the quality of the models is fantastic. Rulebook is also nice and full color. This is the first purchase I've made from GW since the AOBR box set and glad I was able to jump on the LE as I play Dark Angels.

(more pics in original post)

And an unboxing video in German, probably also lifted from GW's blog

- Exarch Quaillindral
The mind of the Farseer is utterly inhuman in its depth and complexity. Without mercy or moral feeling, his consciousness stands upon the edge of spiritual destruction. That he does not fall must be a result of constraints and balances that only an Eldar could understand. To a mere Human it is yet another reminder that we are but children in comparison to that ancient and powerful race.

Here are a few more pics of the rule book pages over the getting started guide for size comparison and a the chaplain on his data sheet. The data sheet that was included is nice and would be great if GW started doing this for all their kits. There is no painting guide and there are no points for the units on the data sheets. New to this, so mods if I'm posting too much of the data sheet please remove

That is on the data sheets, I was wondering if they may have been listed somewhere else in the set perhaps on something other than the data sheets. Sheesh.

Just skimming through the starting guide and the data sheets there are no mentions of point values. It is almost like they are treating it as a stand alone box set or just waiting for the codex to come out and assign points.

They're just making sure nobody DARES to use any of the new figures in a real game until the new codex drops

remember they fear the world will end if things happen early

(whether that's info relase, shipping of new product or even games with new figures),

Unless it's all a big con, and the codex and points values aren't finalised yet (JOKE)
