When ever I watch any war movie and I see someone get shot I immediately think: "Damn, he failed that armor save!"

I carry 2D6 in my jeans pocket just in case.

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

When you see stuff for other games and think of one or more 40k units you could use it as.

Space Marines, Orks, Imperial Guard, Chaos, Tau, Necrons, Germans (LW), Protectorate of Menoth

I finished an executive meeting saying "For the black Gods". Then I proceed to explain very laboriously that it's how I call the shareholders of the company.

I also use a lot the saying "a moment of losing yourself leads to a life of heresy" (well, the french version of it) IRL.

I constantly want to insert 40k into real life religions. Mostly because it's blatantly stolen from Christianity. The Emperor basically being Jesus in Terminator armor. Then he dies on the toilet and becomes God. Every time I see a Church I wish Jesus was more like the Emperor.

The other reason I'm too into 40k is because whenever I hear about the pseudoscience of thoughts manipulating the world, I think about how awesome it would be to get everyone in the world to think about Khorne.

Pretty much every Sunday I go to Catholic Church, all the terms used (catechism, saint, Eucharistic, etc.) remind me of 40k constantly.

Yes, I know that very well. It's one of the things that got me out of religion actually. As cool as it would be to worship the Emperor IRL, but to do it for real...

As a discussion grows in length, the probability of a comparison to Matt Ward or Gray Knights approaches one.

When you're looking for a toy for your brother's b-day and you see titan conversions everywhere.

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

I always role played 40K when playing the original Xcom. When a soldier panicked or is mind controlled by xenos filth and shoots up a buddy there was always a "commissar" behind him with a plasma pistol to give him the Emperor's mercy.

MrMoufassa, I can't stand the new one either. I spent the first 2 hours of the game screaming at my screen "WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH 4 SOLDIERS?!" 4 is the minimum requirement for "on point" scrubs!

Just thought of something even funnier. Before I lay my 22month old down for a diaper change I hold her like a cradled bolt gun and make shooting sounds and she just thinks its hilarious. Blotgun Baby! My wife thinks me and the kid are crazy!

Playing Planetside 2 beta as NC (which seem to have the closest looks to the IG in my opinion). Shooting Terran Republic "KILL THESE HERETICS!! STRIKE THEM DOWN!! PRESS THE ATTACK YOU DOGS!!", and whats funny is the pubbies (people not in a clan, or squad or other organized group) and some squad member or clan people listen to me and charge headlong against a battle tank or entrenched enemy position and take it.

agianst the Vanu, who are more alien looking. most recent IG inspired "speech" "BURN THESE XENO SCUM!! KILL THEM WHERE THEY STAND!!", all the while standing on top of my Vanguard Battle tank. only after I get in my tank to drive it forwards do i realize what i said.

Playing World of Tanks. Driving a british tank and for a split second I imagined the top tier tank was a Baneblade. until I remembered its a FV215b.
Same game. just watched a joke on the space marine guy (Diomedes, lol) who yells "BAAAAAAAAAAAAANEBLAAAAAAAAAADE" or something at some point when one of them appears, I was fighting in a city map and a Maus (gigantic 188 ton German Super Heavy Tank) comes around the corner and I hear in my sub consious "BAAAANEBLADE!!" as i retreat away from the rampaging grey war machine.

I yell FOR THE EMPEROR as i charge with my tanks in game. I actually get either Imperial, Xeno, or Heretical responses from my own team or the opposite team. Alot of "Blood for the Blood god" mostly so im not alone.

thats awesome
started yelling "WAAAAAAAAGH!" before the game starts lol

as for me it was when my wife looked at me when i was getting my stuff ready the night before and said " Dear god not again" ....i looked and her blankly and said "no dear its the emperor protects"

Ferocious Blood Claw

We recently got a few lectures about animal sacrifice in ancient Graeco-Roman religion. Since the first lecture, every time this topic comes up I have the sudden urge to scream "Blood for the Blood God!" ...and I haven`t even been into it that long...

Whereas to an englishman the taking of a sledgehammer to crack a nut is a wrong decision and a sign of mental immaturity, to a russian the opposite is the case. In russian eyes the cracking of nuts is clearly what sledgehammers are for.

Outside the DarkTower, amongst the roses.

You know you have doing to much 40k when you constantly think of what else you can magnetize in your life.

Every Dakkanaught gets a 4+ Pinch of Salt save.
When you suffer a Falling Sky hit, roll a D6 - on a 4+ the hit is ignored as per the Pinch of Salt save. On a 1-3 panic insues - you automatically fail common sense tests for the next 2 weeks and get +7 to your negativity stat. -Praxiss
