Last Qs from me....
Can Libbies and Chappies take Bikes?
For that matter, can a normal command squad take bikes? (I assume not, but here's wishing)
Libbies, Chappies (interrogator and normal), Company Masters and Techmarines can all take bikes.
PA command squads may not.
RW command squad is unlocked by any HQ mounted on a bike.

what makes no sense is you can still play the game with your old models, heck, you could substitute sticks if you really wanted to just use the rules. Part of the fun was getting and assembling then painting these models. When adding on to your army costs more than it does to feed yourself you begin to wonder WTF these marketing people think.
basic marketing has shown time and time again, a lower price point, though leading to less profit per item, in the end equals more profit from more turnaround

Looks like DA are another Codex in the mold on 6th edition Chaos Space Marines-- powerful but not crazy and with a lot of cool, unique options. I for one welcome this approach to Codex design and can't wait until every army has an update in this style.

Indeed it looks like 40k 6th is going the way of fantasy 8th with all books released for that edition being super balanced against each other with loads of options, I hope DA characters end up like Chaos characters in that you pay for the upgrade in the cost of your upgrade, none of this paying to have the ability to pay for things.

For those who have played some time, this codex reminds me of the SAFH Marines of 3rd edition. Cheap TAc squad with heavy weapon and cheapish Devastators. Throw in twin Autocannon dreads and cheap Librarians which unlock Techmarines and Servitors, and 1500 points can throw 28 heavy weapons. Basically, a very MSU list.

Looking through this codex leaves a bad taste with me, where did all the creativity and points go wrong for C:CSM?
14 points for a basic marine that can tote a heavy at 5 members while having ATSKNF and stubborn.
And why am I paying 25 points for a reaper autocannon when these deathwing members pay 15 for a plasma cannon?
Among other things, I don't want to derail the thread, I'm happy for dark angels but why is chaos the way it is?
Time will tell I hope.

I don't recall artificer being generally available, but I am not 100% sure on that.
Keep in mind that generic bike/ TDA HQ choices only unlock the appropriate command squads, they Do Not unlock DW/ RW as troops.

It appeared ,from one reading, that only Azreal, Belial and Sammael unlock units to counts as a troops choice. DW weapons being twin linked the turn they arrive is interesting, especially when running 10 strong on a unit. Combine that with the no scatter rule with Belial and it can be fairly potent.

There's no Storm Shield option for Terminator Librarians? That so? That's kinda lame, even old standard C:SM get that.
Overall I'm liking the sound of this book. I am still confused on the chaplains/Interrogators thing, not sure if both can get TDA, if both count as HQ or one counts as Elites...

That's what I've heard so far. I was just thinking of the unit price to grab a Master and equip him to bring a command squad. Belial was priced as if he were just a Master with a Terminator upgrade and otherwise was a really ho-hum unit beyond the Apothecary/Standard Bearer and Troop options in the last book.

Why am I worried about this statement? First it was DA that was suppose to be the norm for 5th, CSM followed suit and the SM players cried and complained, GW changed direction and got overpowered codex compared to 4th DA and CSM codex. Now CSM and it seems DA seem "balanced" for 6th. Will the SM players complain and cry again and GW change direction again for the SM codex?
I hope when the SM codex comes out it will be like the CSM and DA codex and not over powered or better and stick to the formula now.
I like what I am seeing. Just hope the rest of the codicies stick to the forumula now.

For 63 points I can just make another unit if I want.
Edit: I understand Space Wolves pay a premium for their Wolf Guard options, just saying, 49pts for a TH/ SS in 6th edition isn't really asking too much.

And a Tyranid Spore Mine costs 4 points less and has nothing like that.
I just wonder where the hell does GW get it's point costs from? Do they really just grab point costs out of thin air? If so what was Cruddence thinking of making a Spore Mine cost 10 points each then? For something that has nothing, basically gets blown up if you sneeze on it, and has random movement and can't assault.
Can't believe SM cost so cheap now.
