So, after 2 1/2 years, why does this company still not have an opposing force or even a basic ruleset? Given the quality of the miniatures, it just seems like a lot of unfinished business.

They barely just fully finished the KS. Got my missing bits a coupe weeks ago as WGF only started sending them recently. It's possible that Mark has the OpFor in production but is keeping quiet until they're much, much closer to release, given the length of time it took them to get the original stuff out.

Because "this company" is one man. Mark is working on the Shadokesh, and had previewed a few pictures of them. However, he has said future release will be done more conservatively, rather than trying to do everything at once.

True, but it's not like he's slaving away in a workshop making the minis in small boutique runs. He outsourced to a large Chinese manufacturer. Does he have a day job and this is just a part-time gig? I'm not being critical of the person running things, more lamenting for a lot of lost time for a potentially awesome game.

I like quite a bit about the Eisenkern, but I'm just not interested in a line of minis without a game. I can't imagine I'm alone in that feeling.

C)Designing the models by himself while also managing the retail side of it (separate from the WGF retail), and dealing with whatever else he's doing.. I dunno.. the guy should probably hire some staff or something but right now we would be making assumptions to guess at what's going on.

It's an easter egg for die hard fans of Games of Thrones. The written version.

I haven't paid much attention since it all shipped, but has has the iron-core game development group started? It was part of the pledges that backers were supposed to be part of the design group and I never sawNy more about it after mark gave the rules design off to someone else.

Finally ordered my first Eisenkern troopers and can't wait to get them. Will be using them as a guard platoon as allies for my SM. Stoked about trying a camo paint job on them.

Okay, Tamiya 1/35 scale Hanomag was crampy for 28mm Eisenkern troops, and here it is next to the DF Hanomag.

I got a box of Stormtroopers and the accessory set a while ago, but only recently got around to starting building them. I have no issues with the casts or the models, but I find the instruction sheet for the accessory set very lacking.

The single page for the infantry accessories only calls out a small amount of the included parts. I really want some instructions as to how the accessory arms work if I want to, for example, build a left-handed rifleman or model someone rearing back to throw a grenade.

This is literally a 1-man show, and Mark has to wear a lot of hats to keep the business running: designer, operations, accounting, etc. It's as if you had Jes Goodwin working on his lonesome, without the GW machine to support him.

If you go to the DFG FB page or blog, you can see WiP renders of the Shadokesh OpFor.

Having recently seen a Leviathan Crusader up close.... Wow.

Oh yeah the 28mm scale Leviathan Crusader is a nice big kit! all of the kits so far have been great!

Yeah, I've got one of the 28mm leviathan kits but I've not made the time to build it. Just FYI, if you order one and take it out of the box, be ready to build it because it is not going to fit back in the box.. it's like.. tetris mixed with voodoo..

I realized that I really don't have a lot of use for the 15mm Mortis Levis (Although I'll squeeze one into one of my chaos armies somehow), so I built one up with all the joints unglued (and had to leave off some of the pistons, for now) to use to figure out poses I want to try to achieve on the big 'uns.

Also, I was more than a little annoyed with myself when I went to go mask off the limbs and armor plates on that first Crusader I built after wave 1 arrived, and discovered that I hadn't left sufficient clearance between the unarmored left "thigh" and the pelvic armor for me to install the main armor plates there! $@!^&#@%&@$$%&#

So, I either have to break loose the foot AND the hip joint to try to slightly alter the pose, or make it a battle damaged Crusader with some of the armor shot away. I'm really not sure which to do.

You can always cut the Pistons and reach with plastic tubing. Unless the joint your talking about is the actual hip to leg where I think you'll have to customize the leg armor.

The actual leg to hip join. This morning, I carefully popped the feet loose from the base (He was on there waaaaay more securely than I'd thought, which is good, nice to know they're secure on the base), and moved the leg just enough to get the thigh plates on. I'll just have to build up a little under the foot for regluing him down, as the angle of the foot to the base very slightly changed, but that's no big deal.

Phew! Glad it went well.

Does anyone have any idea of what the impact of the Wargames Factory/Warlord Games distribution deal will have on Dreamforge?

In a semi related note for my fellow Brit's and Europeans Northstarfigures the former UK distributor is having a mental clearance sale on the Dreamforge ranges. I've cracked and ordered more Valkir than I know what to do with!

I placed an order with them for two Valkir support boxes and my order was just cancelled. Apparently all the Dreamforge stuff is now gone. :(

Hi guys, I am in negotiations with Warlord now, and exploring other means of distribution. I will let you know where I stand and the direction I decided to take shortly.

My intent is to smoothly transition to whichever end distribution channel fit best for DreamForge and do not anticipate any lags in service to the retailers or wholesalers.

Yeah, it's a pain to do it after it's assembled. I was in such a rush to get my mortis put together I now need to carve out areas for the LEDs and batteries :(
