Ok so its a kill points game. Me and my opponent are tied for points. He has two black templars terminators left, a regular one and a castellan. I had only 1 single catachan guardsman left. I rapid fired my lasgun at the termies. I didn't think I would hit. I rolled a five and a six to hit and to wound I rolled two sixes! He failed his look out sir save, and both armor saves! He rolled ones! So my catachan guardsman killed them and won the game for me! Also winning that game meant me getting 2nd place in the tourney. Best kill Ive ever got. I named the guardsman 'lucky shot'

Ichor-Dripping Talos Monstrosity

I know this one isn't 1 kill... but I think it has to count:
3rd Ed:
Spoiler:
Archon with Agoniser and her Retinue of 4 Incubi and 6 Warriors starts the game flanked by something like 2 raiders of Wyches, 4 squads of warriors on foot and a Ravager. It was an storm-the-bunker assault mission, he had less points than me, but had 2 bunkers and a small trench system to deploy in.
End of turn 1: I've killed everything outside of his bunkers, in return he's wiped out all but the Archon an Incubi and 2-3 Warriors - the result of an excruciatingly painful set of rolls, where my saves were effectively non-existent.
Turn 2 - I figure it's over, I have all of 4-5 models left, so I figure bugger it - lets go for it anyway! I lose the warriors, I move the Archon and Incubi closer.
Turn 3 - The Archon and Incubi survive and move closer!
Turn 4 - She and her Incubi reaches the first bunker, she rolls, she makes it with her Agoniser a glorious roll, the bunker collapses and kills all the Marines inside thanks to the Bunker Rules for the scenario!
Turn 5 - She starts heading towards the second bunker and the last of his marines to try and do it again.
He gets a little worried, tries to get his marines out of the bunker (needed a difficult terrain test to do it - had to roll higher than 2, he rolls a 2), so he tries to shoot me down. The Incubi buys it, the Archons Shadowfield goes down.
Turn 6 - She reaches the bunker, and fails to smash it. I figure she's going to die but it was a good run.
Turn 7 - He fails to escape, he actually fails to kill the Archon, who promptly punches the bunker to death.
Tabled him with 1 model left, after losing near the whole army turn 1.

5th ed, post new DE dex release - I forget who it was exactly, some Marine character - this guy went on and on and on about him, before the game going on, so I said 'sure, I bet I can take him'. All through deployment, about how hard this character is, how nothing can or has ever killed him, that he'll kill anything in CC, blablabla.
Turn 3 my Talos jumps off the roof of a building on him, the character fails to do any damage and he dies to the Talos' in one round of combat. Like a bitch.

6th ed... nothing jumps to mind...

In one of my first 6ed games, I had a vendetta get shot down over an enemy motor pool.

It proceeds to crash on to an enemy Punisher, which explodes, and my sole surviving soldier proceeds to march across the table plasma-pistoling random marines,

Back in 5th ed, I was fighting some Blood Angels, and this sole sanguinary priest was running around with a plasma pistol hitting my tanks in the rear and blowing them up; his squad had all been killed off, but he remained.

The solution: Charge the company command squad! Single hit from the commander's "power baton" (used the baton arm for him, no swords, guns or actual weapons on the model) one-hits the priest, ending his reign of terror. Satisfying, if not overly dramatic.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

When I first got my Blood Angels army, I was playing with a friend against his IG. I moved my Storm Raven with beacon in between 2 of his units that were in cover and on turn 2 I deep stuck both of my Redeemers in on each side and machine spirited the flamers on the sides wiping out both units. Of coarse when I brought them in deep strike he responded with "You can't deep strike land raiders!" and then showed him the dex. He was not happy but I reminded him that I did tell him before we started playing but he didn't listen.

3rd Ed- Vet Sister Superior killed a Carnifex in close combat with a power maul and bolt pistol.
5th Ed- Pink Horror unit with three remaining models killed Commisar Yarrick five times after he charged them during the course of the rest of the game. Bugger wouldn't stay dead!
5th Ed- Daemons against IG all castled up. Three Lemans packed tightly in a row with two squads of veterans amongst them. Two units of three flamers land on either side, shoot the Leman in the middle. Nobody made it out alive.
6th Ed- 27k APOC game, first turn, Sternguard Vet squad drops in 5" from the rear of a Throne of Skulls. First combi-melta shot, a long string of Sixes, Throne blows up S10 at max range, killing 42 of my own Marines, three drop pods of my own, two of another Marine players, everything in those. Took out four Ork trukks full of boys, 8 Nob bikers, two Chaos dreads and one Chaos Predator. Left a really big, sad, empty spot on the table...... Was frickin cool!

A ton of armies and a terrain habit...

First turn, I start. Chaos Dreadnought with lascannon in one corner. DE Ravager, the most expensive and lethal unit on the other team, in the other corner, 40-ish inches away.

Most of my army had been picked apart by a Revenant Titan. My entire CCS squad had been wiped out from a Chimera explosion and then a drifting blast marker from a pulsar EXCEPT the Company Commander (and his plasma pistol)...

He then proceeded to give not a single feth, pass his leadership test, make just enough difficult terrain to get within range of the titan, hit it, penetrate it, bypass holofields, and then chain react the damned thing into an apocalyptic explosion, nobly wiping himself out and earning every last one of those medals modeled on his chest.

That was the second apocalyptic explosion of the night. I don't think either of us actually had anything left on the board by the end of the game.

Never will I roll so well again.

I was playing a game against eldar a few weeks ago, using my world eaters. After fighting off a squad of those eldar guys who have stealth and/or shrouded (i dont know eldar very well), I had 1 berserker left on an objective in combat with some dire avengers (I think that's what they're called). He charged in with some of those guys who all have melta weapons to try and finish him off quickly and get me off the objective. Through sheer luck of dice rolls my lone berserker killed all the melta guys and about half of the dire avengers before being taken down on the last turn.

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

I have two really big memories that will always last with me.

5th ed: Team battle shortly after GK codex came out, me and another GK player versus 2 marines players and an ork player. If the GK survived they would win. The ork force was a mek list with Big mek, 2 deff dreads, and 3 of the small ones, and some ork boys i think. The marines had loads of tanks and troops. Me and the other guy had an inquisitor with daemonblade, couple of termi squads, interceptors and dreadnaughts, and Draigo. Draigo gives counter attack to Dreadknight. First term, inquisitor's henchman squad wiped out, and Dreadknight down to 1 wound. It then kills the following both Deff Dreads, all the 3 smaller ones, the big mek, all the boys, a vindicator and a land raider. It was armed with heavy incinerator, gatling psilencer and greatsword. It took down all the vehicles in one round of combat. the inquisitor got lucky btw and got EW and FNP, even when hit by the crazy big mek gun.

6th ed: This was a game that happened on last saturday. Team battle, DA, Tau and IG versus IG, Ork and BA. DA terminators led by Belail first turn drop down. they survive a pounding, about 15 armour saves. Then go on a rampage and kill a basilisk, ork loota squad, a dev squad and a IG vet squad. All for the loss of one man. On the other side, i had a 5 man tactical combat squad, down to just the sergeant. He decides to go kamikaze against a 9 man strong IG vet squad. No wounds in overwatch, charges and gets in. Challenges, it s turned down. He gets 3 attacks and kills 1. They fail to wound him, they fail the leadership, run away and he catches them. He then next turn got steamrollered by some orks but meh.

The other funny game moment is a GK dreadnaught instant killing Belial with a fist to the face, and the inquisitor from before taking on a DA terminator sarg, down to one wound before killing him with the daemonblade (powers being no armour saves and gets wound back for every wound caused).
I will say though, that the last two things happened when I played against myself and sort of biased the games towards the GK's.

This one would be even funnier if it was the last spine gaunt in a unit "without end" that took out the dread and itself only to spawn the whole unit back on the table.

OMG 2nd edition was the best. So many good stories. I remember my brother had a character on a bike, chaplain maybe, using a virus grenade that took out over 1500 points of my friend's Ork army, first turn IIRC. It's been almost 20 years, haha.

We used a lot of terrain with varying heights, and the vehicle rules back then... we had tanks flying off cliffs, it was ridiculous.

I remember a game of Epic Space Marine, I had a Warlord Titan Battlegroup and some support vs a Space Marine army. One of the Warlords took a pounding in one turn - all void shields gone, every weapon that had a LOS fired at it - but it was still standing - no damage, unscathed! Then, literally, the last unit fires. It's a Space Marine Apothecary stand. 15cm away or so. One die, hits on a 5+. It hits. Location? Head. Oh, the Warlord is fine; it's head has a 1+ save (in Epic, that means always saves unless modified). Oh, wait... the Warlord he was shooting at, I had a Titan Weapon Head modification on, so it's save is 2+. I roll a 1, the shot penetrates, and he rolls a 6 on the damage chart, destroying the Titan utterly.

A single Marine Apothecary fired a single bolt pistol round and dropped a fething Warlord Titan.
