I normally don't like MDF kits but I think I'll have to pick up 2 or 3 of that Tactical Response Vehicle when it's released very nice. Your doing great work with these new kits.

If there was ever a good way to get a US distributor, I could see myself spending a good deal of money on these products. Even the old stuff- I really have always liked the Scenic Dice Tower. I always wanted to put some felt in the tray as a "courtyard" and have a removable inset lid for the top, so the dice tower could double as useable scenery.

I've wanted the desk organizers for years but shipping has always made me rethink that.

If you could find a us manufacturer that would be awesome!

I am also in the "I would buy if US distributor" gang.

Warstore Did carry them a while back, I contacted CNC about a US distributor, they responded that they were looking if I had any ideas. I contacted Neal about it and a short time later Warstore had the CNC products in stock! I bought quite a few of their product right away. Its just great stuff.Then about a year later IIRC they were no longer stocking the line.

I recently contacted Neal again as to why he no longer carried the line and was told it mostly had to do with the high shipping costs. May be they can revisit this in the future who knows. But I will keep my eye on that development.

The gist is European retailer pronto. Chop chop there's a good laser cutting chap.

We are working hard on a better deal to alleviate postage costs.

Distributorships are probably not the answer. Mostly because whomever is doing said distributing still needs to pay for the shipping, and make a profit.

Franchising is also difficult because in the end profit becomes almost non existent. We want money, the franchiser wants money, etc etc.

The best method in the end will be to simply make postage discounted/ free over a certain amount ordered.

We don't don't know what these amounts will be yet. We have to update our manufacturing process before we can properly implement the postage subsidy.

I assume by franchising you mean licensing your designs to laser cutters in other countries?

Either way, I placed an order in July and shipping to the US was high, but not a deal breaker ($20 US).

If it wouldn't just melt it, that would seem like an easy way to produce a similar product that would have lower shipping costs.

Yeah, realize it's a known known, but I'm also in the "US distributor shut up and take my money" camp.

I think they'd still prefer to get a couple dollars per instead of nothing. With shipping killing a lot of orders, I'd rather hive some money to an associate than just be completely out of the works.

I used to work for a laser etching (glass & crystal, not wood/mdf) company and we had outsourcing contracts in the US, the UK and Australia. It was cheaper to outsource the project and send the digital files over than it was to etch the item here and ship it across the world. But glass and crystal does require a lot of packaging to keep it safe, so the economics of shipping sheets of mdf might not be the same.

I would settle just for buying the pattern and cutting it myself. I mean that tank looks great, and if the issue is material and labor I can easily do that myself if that means I don't have to wait for some distribution deal in the USA.

That's entirely feasible. Its from Australia...

No, the wheels are three separate circles glued together to make up the width.

Unfortunately money is tight, also I'd like to see how it looks in hand, and try out the build before buying lots of them. So I old buy one initially and the shipping is almost the same cost as the model. It also would put a counts as model at the same price (close to) as the GW equivalent, more so since I'd buy it from a discounter. It just wouldn't make sense.

Best option would be for them to get a partner here in the U.S. and one in Europe, they can share files and produce together. Even if its him paying one of the other companies to produce and distribute it would be cheaper than the shipping.
