My 350 odd pound Deadzone pledge would disagree!

Is that all? Squig talked me into a Suppression Team pledge and then some...

Seriously James, if you paid him a commission in models, we'd have to send search parties to his house to dig him out of the plastic.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away...

Wow, that was a pretty crazy end... Even I got anxious as the clocked ticked and the pledges fluctutated both ways and I was only in it for a couple of models - not the full game...

Well done Mantic...

Always a feeling of wary relief at the end of a KS. Certainly, think this one did well I didn't think it would reach that level when it was first announced.

Just reading the rules... cows on fire, flying cars, mind control. Looks like tremendous fun!

Yay! I managed to resist! Resistance wasn't futile.

Going to be second guessing myself for ages now, though. - I'll just need to sit and stare at all my unassembled Dreadball models for a while. Then remember the coming deadzone.

Well, congrats Mantic. - Half a million dollars isn't bad at all for a couple of months of work! Mind you, I imagine the real work is probably just starting....

I've got to say, the final total, seems about right, especially considering the Deadzone fatigue factor.

I do hope, in all honesty, Mantic decides to take a break from kickstarter for a while and go back to working as a typical business for a bit.

In all seriousness, thanks guys - this has been an insanely fun few weeks, and it's finished on a real high! One last update on its way... then we're all off to bed

Sweet, now I need to take a few days to consider what I actually want Should be plenty of time for the pledge manager to come out.

I agree - it would be nice to see Mantic perhaps take a break here from KS, maybe at least until Deadzone is complete?

But I think "business as usual" for Mantic IS Kickstarter...

I think there is another LOKA kickstarter coming soon.

I'm not sure how much Loka really counts as a mantic product though. I'd see that more as a 'River Horse' product that mantic is lending a hand with.

Very happy to see the retro soldiers added in. I was a little disappointed (at the beginning) and remembered leaving a comment hoping/wishing for the old grunts as a stretch. Going to have to take a long look to see what to add in the survey. I only went in for an EB Will of Man, but Mantic will get plenty more of my money on the survey as they always seem to.

Yeah, and even got me in for the bugs at the end . Nice finish, now for the follow through!

Very pleased with the way this KS shaped up. It basically became the first Deadzone expansion Kickstarter for me. It took awhile to sort everything and figure out the most advantageous package, but cumbersome as it was, the credit system did ultimately allow me to customize a favorable Deadzone-oriented pledge. The credit system may have been problematic for Mantic, but it was certainly good for me.

Mantic really went for the computer rendered designs over hand sculpted models on this one, and the results so far have been pretty terrific. This bodes very well for future campaigns; can you imagine how great the Z'zor are going to look with giant computer rendered alien insects like the Mars Attacks bugs?

Yeah. I'm not sure I'm gonna have a lot of funds (or storage space!) whenever the Warpath Kickstarter comes, but I'll definitely enjoy watching them put all that they've learned to use

Kind of hoping they do DKH or better yet unstarted/unfinished armies from KoW kickstarters in between. That way, I get off pretty easy and or don't have to back (beyond a dollar so I can be annoying in the comments )

I'm glad things picked up in the end. I was seriously tempted to get in on the KS, but (thankfully?) my willpower and commitment to reducing the number of unpainted minis I own won out.

None of the exclusives were anything that really grabbed me, and Mantic stuff is generally pretty cheap & heavily discounted. So maybe I'll grab some stuff when it hits retail and I have my pile further reduced.

You were always going to be pretty safe when it comes to old grunt options for this:

http://store.warlordgames.com/collections/usa/products/american-infantry-plastic-boxed-set (plus Rangers, Nisei, Buffalo Soldiers in hard plastic)

plus many, many more in metal..

Deadzone? Now they have enough money to complete KoW on a satisfying level
The LOKA kickstarter is the one to finance Deadzone

Interesting fact! Kickstarter money for a given campaign goes into a separate bank account, and we don't touch it for anything else. It doesn't roll into the business bank account, or anything else. If there were a surplus of money after we've tooled and produced everything, we'd tool and produce something new for the KS... but that hasn't happened yet because we usually get excited during the campaign and promise way more than we can sensibly produce for a given stretch goal. (Giant robot, anyone?)

Also, Alessio's new LOKA Tarot game isn't anything to do with Mantic - we're giving it a bit of promotion, because LOKA was pretty awesome and we're nice like that, but he's handling it himself this time!

Cannot repeat this often enough. The sculpts for Mars Attacks have been amazing, truescale, and cohesive*. Turns out MK Ultra Studios did all of the sculpts for this which is brilliant, seeing lots of very nice sculpts from the guy/ the team, including all of the Total Extinction stuff:

Warpath hard plastics from this guy please! (I think he might already have started on some?)

*Half of the deadzone minis (enforcers, rebs) are hard sci-fi truescale, the other half (plague, marauders) are cartoony heroic scale (tiny legs, huge torsos, giant hands). Whatever your opinion on one vs. the other, you have to admit there's a massive sculpting style difference. I'm glad Mars Attacks didn't make that mistake, and hope that Warpath doesn't either.

Seems like an excellent time for the image meme...

Spoiler:

Anyway, I agree with the look of stuff for MA looking very cohesive and well-sculpted. It'll be interesting to see if the material is up to the designs.

So James, is Dreadball Extreme the next campaign? Or KoW? Or The Smurfs 2: The Movie: The Game?

P.S. Don't ever make a faction of Helfathers for Warpath. I'd actually have to start buying Space Dwarf miniatures.

No need to quickly move onto the next campaign, there's quite a few outstanding already, Vermonter! And this one just finished!

Although I know you were partially joking, it's too soon for me

MK Ultra did all of Impacts! digital chbi minis too they do some great stuff and they can go from start to finish on a mini in 2 days.

They are heavily booked now because they are working with a good few companies.

Repeating it doesn't make it true: All Marsians in this game are much too large compared with the movie:

The figures are based on the cards, not the movie - the Martians are therefore the correct size.
