Where might one procure lava paste outside of active volcanoes?
Vallejo do a black lava paste. I took some pics of Vallejo textures (including lava, top right) wet, dry and shaded if you're interested in seeing how they come out. The shaded pic helps show the different textures for them. There are a few more that I don't have iirc. The 200ml tubs set you back around $10, most places that carry Vallejo should have it, I picked mine up online.

I will be purchasing some of this forthrightly. Good bye, big bag of sand and grit that I'm always spilling all over the place and having to vacuum up!
How many 30mm bases on average would you get out of a single tube?
That water effect would be great for all the gators and crocodiles I've got coming to hang out with all the snakes and lizards!
Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. These are much more "detailed boardgame pieces" than "miniatures", if we can make that distinction.

Indeed we did that part twice because they'd ask it... But take in consideration that we didn't know at that time what would be the material used to print
I assure you that those lines were really deep in the digital model , as you can see in any of our renders

You can and you should! But don't blame the sculpters, but the material used for the print

I guess that's something that can and should be taken on board for the next round of digital sculpts in terms of communication - something specific that Mantic should tell you guys, and something that you should ask them, about specifically.
If your order is less then 4KG ($200 worth or less) it will ship first by Royal Mail - but only the game, books and paper mats the rest will follow later separately - that covers about half of all backers
More than 4KG are next and get bumped to courier shipping at no extra charge - those that paid for courier get a bonus
If you ordered the big robot your at the end as it's not ready and won't be for 2-3 weeks (You can have the boxed game shipped ahead of your main order for a $10 charge)
Due to finish by 31st October

Guess shipping being delayed is a bit of a bunmer but at least we have a relatively firm date now - I do not know if I could hold out till xmas.
Only concern is that the mould issue was not picked up earlier and the couple of weeks turn around could be an optimistic. Cannot see them doing the whole BSR run again so perhaps they are just produces hundreds of left legs - if they do it all again do we get the "righties" as freebies to kit bash with - well you can jope.

That date assumes they get the robot's leg fixed in time. They had issues with DZ plastics that took longer than they estimated and resulted in them adding a wave to the shipping process, then adding more to that wave as another problem was found.
This stuff is a different material, but I suspect their factory may be underestimating the timeline to fix the leg issue. Hopefully my pessimistic self is wrong.

I love the mutant ant, but don't care much about the spider...anyone wanna buy/trade however many spiders I got? It's either one or two, I got 3 of each and split with one of the guys, I just have to check his quantities, then my spiders will be available. I remember Alph saying he missed out on the bugs...

Due to work, I can usually only ship any sales or trades out on Saturday morning. Please trade/purchase with this in mind.

I had the exact same thoughts. If they're saying three weeks, try 6-12 weeks.
^Probably truth. But if it means the stompy robot will be right and proper? And a month or even two late? C'mon that's still practically early for kickstarter :p
I guess I'm complacent since I have several projects coming to me staggered, if I was just waiting on getting my MA! then I guess I'd be a bit sore too.

Bob, did you get any Rebs booster material? I'd be interested in the heavy weapon team as a trade, or a couple Kraaw. Or a Merc like Helfather or Chief what's-his-nuts Radgrast?

Firstly, thanks for supporting us, and the good news is your first box of Mars Attacks is on its way to you!!!
Over the last couple of days we have been dispatching Mars Attacks Boxed Games. Your game was amongst these orders and it has shipped via Royal Mail.
Delivery time varies around the world and once it leaves the UK it is reliant on your local postal service, so please allow 28 working days (this does not include weekends or bank holidays) for your order to be delivered. Unfortunately standard post is not tracked which means that we won’t be able to update the progress of your shipment between now and delivery.
Estimated delivery times
UK – two to three working days
Europe – three to five working days
US, Canada and ROW – seven to ten working days
We will keep you posted about the second shipment. Next we will ship all the really big Mars Attacks pledges which will take us a few weeks, and then we will be sending you all the rest of your pledge – which will include Flying Saucers, Novus Vira and much much more
We would also like to take this opportunity to once again thank you for supporting the Mantic Kickstarter and for your patience while we fulfil your orders. Enjoy the game.
For videos about how to play please visit the Mantic blog and Facebook pages.
Best wishes, and ack ack ack!
Team Mantic

Dunno, if the factory is just producing two right legs for the robots, seems like a far simpler fix than re-engineering the steel molds for the Forge Fathers and Enforcers to inject more plastic at higher pressure so there's no sinkholes.
"...and special thanks to Judgedoug!" - Alessio Cavatore "Now you've gone too far Doug! ... Too far... " - Rick Priestley "I've decided that I'd rather not have you as a member of TMP." - Editor, The Miniatures Page "I'd rather put my testicles through a mangle than spend any time gaming with you." - Richard, TooFatLardies "We need a Doug Craig in every store." - Warlord Games "Thank you for being here, Judge Doug!" - Adam Troke

Not if it is because the tool has two right legs and needs to be redone to have one left and one right.

Great another kickstarter that I won't see anything for until after it's in the retail stores. I'm really reluctant to back any more projects, I can't remember the last one that furfilled without this sort of BS issue.
On the plus side I ordered three of the giant robots : ) My counts as Tau army is going to be the ****.
it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.
