this one? if so it's a scratch build by David Marshall of TM Terrain (http://www.tmterrain.co.uk/), and features miniatures painted by Kev Dallimore and Dave Woodward!

http://nstarmagazine.com/FROSTGRAVE_11_1.htm

but BoW did say Renedra is planning to do a ruined version of their tower

Renedra doing a ruined version of their tower kinda makes me want to build the scene from Willow where they set up shop in the abandoned keep and end up fighting off the weird troll monster thing.

Orlando - not those, but they are nice!

I remembered seeing it on TTGN, and this is it:

from:

http://www.urbanconstruct.co.uk/

New 28mm resin scenery including ruined wizard’s tower, ruined walls, ruined pillars, 7 different piles of rubble, library bookcases, piles of frozen mouldy books, treasure tokens and magic weapon tokens. The scenery is suitable for fantasy scenarios such as D&D and other wizard skirmish games. The rubble can also be used with our flyover and for modern or zombie wargames. The walls and tower can be used with our existing castle range. As usual, our models are highly textured and detailed.

See us at Salute, London – stand TA18. If the main entrance is where it was last year, turn immediately right as you come in and we are a few stands up. We will be launching other new models and vehicles at Salute, so come and have a look.

I saw some fantastic terrain for Frostgrave - a ruined tower - in a Salute preview... Did someone see it in person at Salute, and maybe have pics or a link to the vendor?

I haven't seen anything from Salute, but I believe both Renedra (plastic) and 4Ground (laser cut wood) have recently done ruined towers intended for Frostgrave.

The Forest Outlaw conversion kit is out now:
http://www.northstarfigures.com/prod.php?prod=8279

£5 for 25 parts
not bad, but it seems its not a sprue/set as such, you just get 25 random parts:
"You will receive at least 25 metal pieces to customise your Frostgrave Soldiers. It is a random selection taken from the parts shown in the photograph, you are not guaranteed to get every piece shown."

They can't keep the contents consistent? Are they using the Raisin Bran "two scoops" method?

That's... a strange way to do a set of conversion parts. You expect it with things like stocktake grab bags and such, but for a regular retail release you'd expect the contents to be set.

Yeah,
But £5 is quite cheap! That's 20p a bit.
Just buy 2 or 3 if your making an outlaw party.

I built my renedra tower and ruins.
The tower is glorious. And modular.

Size next to the GW watch tower.

And smaller by simply removing a level.

I also picked up the 3x3 deep cut studios winter snow castle mat.

Panic...

That sounds incredibly stupid.

So you might get no left arms for example, or no heads?
Who would ever want to buy that for £5.00?

Got my both legs here mate
I just posted answer about creating Wizard Sheet in the same style at LA. Once uploaded it will be posted at Lead-Adventures and I think it won't take long it shows here to. I'm glad you like it

Hehe, sorry, Diablo 1 reference. Though come to think of it, his name might have been spelled "Wirt".

Update 06.05.2016

Change log:

Magic Cards ver. 0.2
- new back face with b&w Frostgrave logo
- back face have more white areas to save your ink or laser toner
- removed all sorcerer schools cards
- instead added 1 clear card from each school (fan spells)
- cast roll font greatly reduced and moved up
- now you can write by yourself CURRENT cast difficulty each time it has been changed. Just use eraser and pencil. Base level is still there!

Wizard Sheet ver. 0.1
- first public iteration
- only 2 pages
- all warband members at one side - wizard, apprentice, 12 soldiers and sellsword slots
- with magic cards ver. 0.2 till end of the game you don’t need to turn page
- without magic cards you can still track current cast difficulty (like base cast / school modifications / upgrade and sum for all of them)
- xp tracker is simple “if you do something, mark square and play - you will count after gameplay”. In cast / kills you will find bold square every 10 for fast counting.
- sheet have same visual style as magic cards ver. 0.2 - glory to the classical 80's/90’s!

I like that wizard sheet better than the Osprey one. Reminds me of old school character sheets for RPGs and the like.

Are the spell cards suitable for printing on a laminate style card or do they need a bit of work for that?

Update 09.05.2016

So... I got email from Philip Smith, Osprey Publishing Games Manager, about IP rights for Frostgrave logo and Magic Schools symbols on my Magic Cards and Wizard Sheet. I might not agree with all of his statements but I respect their rights. I didn't knew (but to be fair I don't even ask) if Audrey sold not only design but his symbols too. IP holder is Osprey and this is fact.

What does it means? I removed both, cards and sheet from my google drive. They'll be not available for some time. I need to invent and draw new icons and then place them into cards / sheet. It might take few days. What goes for Frostgrave logo, Osprey Publishing used free commercial font called "Folkard":

http://www.dafont.com/folkard.font?text=FROSTGRAVE

Ofc. Without problems and breaking any EU laws I can change it into Frosttomb or Frozengrave (I even ask about it my company lawyer) but ... we are not living in Asia. I won't create another Abbibas or Puna.
We all should respect others.

TL;DR - Card gone for some time. Will back soon. Stay tuned!

Thanks for the update WeRT.

I look forward to seeing the new version, whenever you get around to it.

In the mean time, I'll just have to comfort myself with the PDFs I already downloaded...

Is Wargames Illustrated, and the other magazines linked, available in .pdf format? I'd be interested in the extra rules, but I'm not sure if WHSmith will carry back issues from two months ago.

If you click on the link to the original article, those titles link to the applicable sites. I'm pretty sure all of them have PDFs available.

The artcile you linked to lists the same articles. The only additional one listed there is the Diabolist's Scheme, which is written by Cory Ring, which I believe is a well made fan piece, since it isn't written by Joseph A. McCullough

If new players are unaware The Official Rules Thread is handled by Joseph A. McCullough, over on the Lead Adventure Forum. It contains the FAQ, Errata, and Joe will directly answer questions, that aren't in the FAQ.

Ah, tah, nah, I was just checking as some of those sites say they're for Kindles and I don't know if they use a proprietary document format.

And aye, if you search the Lead Adventure board for Frostgrave there'll be link to some unofficially scenarios, along with your usual discussions and painting/modeling threads.

It kinda irks me that some of their material only exists in PDF.. I wish they would at least put out a compendium or something. I really don't like gaming rules in e-book format..

I think Joe said they planned to do a compilation of the PDF stuff later in the year.

There is almost always a delay in that kind of situation, as most of us would prefer hardcopy rules that have a spine so we can find them easily, and you need a certain minimum pagecount for that to be viable.

That does make sense, though I kinda feel like with the existing books being so thin, there would be room to add them as bonus content. Especially knowing that we've got 2 upcoming books. Either way, I am glad we're not seeing a smattering of splat books like we've seen for games like D&D or various GW releases over the years.

With the .pdfs, the current state IIRC is that Joe owns the copyright, but isn't going to reprint them any time soon as its business for the third parties.

I couldn't find any backcovers today so I guess its the .pdfs for me. :(

From Phil Smith, Games Manager in Osprey Games:
"Sellsword (and the other PDF supplements) will be collected (along with some other goodies) into a print volume in the Spring."

Source:

ps. Because 2 supplements are planed in this year I'm sure he's talking about Spring in 2017

Joe has always said that the Hunt for the Golem, Sellsword, Dark Alchemy, and any other PDF he writes like that would end up in a printed compliation, but probably not until 2017.
