Bidet? Well, it'll be a 2 in 1throne. It is future tech after all. Perhaps a good sonic scrubbing after the constitutional....
Anyway, RL interferes again so less progress than desired. And 1 week to go. Finished the soap dispensers and the hand dryers. Maybe they get re-painted if time permits.
And the soap dispenser, wall mounted, between the faucets.
The overhead shot. Starting to look interesting.
And trying to figure out how to make the throne I want, this is kicking my ass. I suppose I should ask y'all to pardon the pun. But I won't. And there are lots of little fiddly bits to go too.
Thanks for stopping by.

Give some attention to the WCs themselves now, it'd be odd to have it all done but the thrones!

It would be more than passing strange to be certain.
Thanks GrimDork. I'm huffing and puffing my way there. Hope the ol' ticker holds out.
And yeah, thrones. I made 5. You can roll these, like dice. I call it the game of... well, I'll stop there
Also added a hook to the back of each stall door. Details, details...
And here one is, partially installed. I need to finish the flush valve detail and it will be done ¡Por Fin! then 3 more to go, so not so done.
Unobstructed view
and a few more...
The seat looks too thick though. May have to cut it down. Perhaps hinge them so they lift? I've opted for white porcelain. This was my inspiration here:
I should finish. After the thrones, very little remains to do before final painting, and sign printing. Just a few lockers, a bench and a cabinet, but this stuff is all rectangular and easy.
Thanks for stopping by.

Toilette sticking out of the wall huh? That must be for skinny future people, i'm sure that isn't a US bowl is it, looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen given the weight thing.
Looking great, keep it up, close to the end now.

I think the thick toilet sea is fine, especially since its a comfort station, you know how the old fogies have those padded seats in their bathrooms .
The stalls look spot on. So much detail here its crazy. When you get done with this display you really need to take pics and create a pamphlet like they have when selling a home. That way if you ever go to the game store with the terrain you can give copies to your opponent along with your list. Make sure it has listed the square footage, bathrooms, ac etc.

Actually GrimDork, it is an American Standard. I see them in newer facilities. The thinking, as I understand it, is that it makes for easier floor cleaning. I suppose as long as you don't mount it to drywall only, it'll hold up.
Shadow Cpt, Bioshock you say? Have a look at Dr. H's bathroom bits. They are Bioshock inspired. And for sale.

I sure hope so. I would not want to be the person to discover the installation errors :( talk about a bad day getting worse.
They are also easier to scratchbuild and a mini's base slides right underneath for enhanced playability. It's all win.

Comfort station is just a euphemistic expression Theo. They are generally anything but comfortable. But "future" (hand waves) so this one is. It needs a Robot Bathroom Attendent though. Sigh, no time to do that.
I am not a realtor good sir. But it would be funny...
Also, Operation:Icestorm. You know you want to try it... I think a Quick Starter Rulebook will be available soon enough, so you can look at that before you decide about getting Icestorm
Desubot thank you, but not insane. I do this to stave off the insanity.
Ruglud wrote:Come on man - the cubicle locks need to rotate and either say vacant / engaged or be red/ green... go on, you know you want to.

Thanks, and I was thinking lights above the stall doors ;red for occupied, green for open and yellow for enter at your own risk. XD Time however, says no, probably not :(
Thanks Jabbakahut. I am not a fan of ginormous stairs in most cases. So... actually we used to use small d6s to build platforms for minis on stairs and slopes. This was just the logical next step IMHO.
And for grins, since this a contest about building Thrones
How about...
And we're back
First, since Vik mentioned it, the towel hook for the shower
And the Thrones are in-stalled (pun intended) and the flush valves hooked up. Sadly, no running water...yet
An unobstructed view
And the completed sections
The seat is up? Must be the men's side.
Close out with the overhead
And this will be it. I want to put in a few lockers and a bench and hamper in the empty area, time permitting. Then do all the remaining interior details (light switches, outlets, wall vents...) and photograph everything together before I seal it up and finish off the exterior, which only requires painting and signage.
Thanks for stopping by.

Final WIP photo, the lockers. Then I noticed to handles are askew. Fixed that.

Nah, seriously. Very nice work. I envy you, sir. Unless you are a witch.
I think there is some serious stuff happening here... demonic or god interference is up to every bodies perception.... but superhuman without the shadow of doubt....
I have run out for fitting orkmoticons....which should tell you something....I dunno how cam will get the judging on this one done....it must be a two way tie with LT´s stuff....damn... lost another round....(trite but true...)
and I have to thank you....I've learned quite a load of useful techniques here and got so much inspiration here too....the way you work with RL coloured stuff instead of painting everything and then even using printed stuff that way you do...that alone is remarkable...
good luck....as if you need it , cheers, vik

My painting skills are sub-par these days Vik, so I'm experimenting with using a printer to paint for me. One door closes so I open another. But ran out of time and had to free-hand the numbers and lettering/symbols on this one.
Now a brief pause, a much needed pause, then I want to finish that little scale guest-house I started. I think there are some folks who expect to see my work at the NOVA Open tournament we are having here in DC at the end of August. I don't want to disappoint. So I need to get something transportable via subway... the Hab modules and a few other bits might be perfect... Hmm, maybe not so much of a rest after all.

He's in Washington DC it explains it all. There is definitely something demonic happening. Just look at his stuff and the_blackadder's work. Satan has his minions all in one place enticing us with such levels of details. Back to my table of "godly" Mountain Dew can water towers, stack of books covered with fabric for hills and tissue box skyscrapers. all because I value my soul..... yeah can't keep straight faced on that one

You have it backwards anyway. We are not Satan's minions. He's ours. We've currently got him working for the TSA. I know y'all saw that coming

A perfect quote. and Thanks.
The question, why is she screaming? I think I'll name that mini Victoria Plumb.
New contest is up here http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/609100.page#7093794 The theme is Roads. Lot of room for interpretations and imaginations there.
I may try to build something myself, but RL is kicking the backside this month and into next. I have a tournament here in DC that I am volunteering at, and I feel compelled to put some sort of terrain together for a table, or part of one. So there's that.
I'm going to start moving some of the earlier stuff I did on the Infinity forums over here, so y'all can look forward to that-- although it seems I have moved most of it already. Hmmm. And watch the painfully slow process of paint appearing on 'Victoria', who is still not finished :( But is an excellent unit in game. Quite lethal.
Edit: For a typo. I mispelled 'perfect' Ironic?
