Thanks for the info. It's out this Saturday right (and I say out in the sense that, had this been a normal release, this Saturday would be the day it was out in stores)?
That means GW will send it late on Friday afternoon, because they don't want people to have it before it gets released (even though having it on Friday would mean you can build/use it on the weekend).

Just bought WD yesterday feat'ing Voidshield Generator. (and i'm not really Impressed with an entire book.) backstory section of this machine said that 'it is a mixture of 'new tech' , 'old tech' and 'lost techs'. where Steam engine drived the cogwheels to turn plasma generator thing on. I guess that steam engine itself is turbine and steam is raised by nuclear reaction rather than conbustions of any fossil fuels. I realize you're not based in the USA, so I'm not sure how this affects you, but GW's release dates have shifted a number of times in recent memory. It used to be that everything came out on Saturdays. Then, last year they started letting us put new releases out Friday night at 7PM (which for us is midnight if you go by GMT as GW does). It seemed kind of silly, but I was happy to get releases out a little earlier, and at least it was justifiable, as I assumed their thought was that the entire world would release simultaneously.
Then they pushed our release time to Friday at 6PM. Then a month ago, they pushed it back to Friday at 1PM, so I no longer have any idea what the time is based on, but for all intents and purposes the US release day is now Friday, not Saturday. Anyway, my store got our void shield generator yesterday.
Which brings me to my other point, these are going to be out in stores. I doubt any store managed to get more than one of them, but we got one (at full discount too, not even the crappy ATO discount) so it was definitely possible.

My LGS had a Void Sheild Generator that a scooped up fast (20% off too).
I am also interested in the pipes. Looks like a straight section, a 90 degree turn and possibly a Straight section with an offshoot pipe. Can't wait for those pipes!

Laugh all you want. I got two from GW preordered and a third at my FLGS. Sold the first for $500, I'm keeping one and have a third with an offer for $300 right now. I've been laughing since Friday at all the free press I've gotten, it's awesome!

Any retailer getting some will just put them on eBay if they're going to sell for $500. Normal customers won't even see them offered for RRP. Nice one GW. As if GW prices weren't high enough, they're creating a situation that encourages further profiteering. This is the one thing I don't like about MtG, boxes are released at sensible amounts, but retailers see valuable cards in it and mark it up a heap, maybe five times as much as RRP. They simply aren't available anywhere for RRP thus putting them out of the reach of anyone who doesn't have megabucks to spend. Not a model GW should follow given they've antagonised their customer base in numerous ways already.
