It's a deep sea mining bulk cutter, made by a company called Nautilus.
They only called it a "deep sea mining bulk cutter" because there wasn't enough room on the stern to write "UnderWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHter Mining Bulk Cutter".
Edit: fixed the image link I cut off.

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"
I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

Big guns/buggy dual kit doesn't look too implausible:
the the axle on the big guns is the rear axle of the buggy,
the tail of the gun becomes the chassi,
the lower shield (in front of the wheels) becomes the front bumper,
several of the quite frankly odd shaped gun mount parts becomes rest of the chassi,
there is two different doors shown...
recycling the mek to a gunner,
four piece driver (driver+seat, head, arm+stick, arm+throttle),
grot gun crew to grot riggers.
It looks like the big guns would probably be to many bits for a single "normal"(boys size) sprue and they got to fill up the rest with something.
(the dwarf gyrocopter/gyrobomber, where you toss away half the bits, springs to mind)
The mek is far too clearly a mek though, he has spanners hanging from his belt and all sorts. Can't really see him doubling as a gunner.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong: Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other. A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot. Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests. Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books. Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor. Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers. Orks do not have the power of believe.

Heresy! I can barely bring myself to throw away sprues

The way I choose to look at it, Orks were nerfed SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Hard in 3rd edition that everytthing since has been an upgrade.
Considering the size of the Orks in the plastic buggy kit that dates back to Gorkamorka, that's not much of a stretch
Actually for my first Buggy conversion, I used the standard buggy driver, shaved the head off, and put on a Grot head, because I didn't want to have to re-size the entire cockpit of the buggy. Then I used a standard Ork for a gunner. It actually came out looking pretty good I think. He looks like a Grot with just a little bit more beefy arms.
For my next conversion, I figured out how to re-size the cockpit and used the Trukk driver model.

Before that. 1995/96.

-they wanted to nerf MCs -they wanted to make vehicles less vulnerable to the Explodes! result. (even though it was being glanced to death that was the problem)
-vehicle explosions are now S4 to everyone in and around the vehicle.
-charge range through cover has been buffed, and the flashgits show we now have a special rule to help our charge distance.
-they'll probably want to emphasis the physic phase. I've been hoping the "Waarrgghh! tokens" rumour were not going to happen, but they very well might be how we get warp charges.
-all the changes to FoC
I don't have the 7th edition rulebook yet, so does anyone see anything major I didn't list?
A bunch of character changes have impact on our PK nobz:
Both challenge delay tactics have gotten the axe. Wounds from challenges spill over to the unit, so no more sergeants taking the PK for the team. In addition, if the boyz have nothing left to kill, they enter the challenge and fight strike at the challenger as well, so no free round of combat for character MCs or the like (fighting the nob one turn only to make the furious charge bonus on boyz go away).
Second, character no longer get blanket precision shots, so only dedicated snipers and huge artillery shells (I still think that's stupid) will be able to snipe nobz.
Also note that the blob of rumors containing Waagh!-Token rules was so wrong on Flash Git rules (as well as on a couple of others), you can't even blame it on play-testing rules. If we actually get any Waaagh/Warptokens, it's because the person who made them up had a lucky guess.

Nothing else new, I think.
Perfect! Thanks.

half mine started out as the existing buggy kit.. it's not that bad, I don't see it getting replaced...
Spoiler:
Panic...
Those are truly awesome. It must have been so difficult to pose and mod all the Grots to make them look like they were holding the steering wheel or the rocket launchers. I see you used a decent amount of the old 2nd edition Ork buggy and biker arms as well.

Yeah, thought about it, but didn't think it was worth the trouble before the new codex hits.

It's kind of weird to see that the studio decided to give Orks a stripped down version of Fleet. It's definitely a step in the right direction for an assault army, especially if they have some means of negating Difficult Terrain when assaulting.

In lieu of new News, I thought I'd at least add something creative to the thread - dice bags! I've been making dice bags for a while(gotta put that theatre degree to use somewhere, right?) - and do a bunch of different screen printed ones as well as rpg-themed stuff like Dungeon Map dice bags. I've been beyond excited for this ork release, since it's my "first" new codex release since way back when I last played chaos marines back in 3rd edition. So I thought I'd make some orc-themed dice bags. A warboss has to keep his teef somewhere, right? If anyone wants to see more, head over to http://greyedout.etsy.com.

Much like our fictional counterparts, Ork players are getting more and more restless as the Waaagh builds to a climax at the end of the month...
Sometimes I catch myself daydreaming about souping up my Pontiac's puny engine and welding some sharpened steel to the bumper. It's already red so I've got that going for me.
I know how I'm blowing off all that built-up energy: a huge mega-battle when the codex drops. Doing my part for the global WAAAGH!

Sadly enough I don't think the Ork community even has their own forum right now, last I checked that one they did have was all messed up. I would totally register and post on a decent Ork forum right now though.

As the owner of one of these fine Dice Bags I can't recommend them enough. Very happy with the one I bought and will undoubtedly be picking up another soon.
