Revenant isn't allowed, Tranny C'tan isnt allowed at this level (there's no way to take his mandatory weapons and be under 610), etc. There are still some rough ones (certain baneblade variants, tessaract labyrinth, etc) but this brings it much closer to earth than the previous. Thumbs up for hearing the feedback

The Transcendent C'tan can be taken in the champs. Cosmic fire x2 and either Storm of Heavenly Fire or Seismic Shockwave both clock in under 610 points.

Interesting, I've always seen that played and interpreted as you can only take each once, not duplicates.

The Tesseract Vault explicitly prohibits taking 2 duplicate powers. The Transcendent C'tan's entry lacks the explicity prohibition, so it can be interpreted (and argued as RAI) that you can take 2 identical powers.

Yes it is intentionally written differently. I'm going to be giving it some test games to see if it is viable.

Exciting to see there's not going to be a lot of restrictions.

Any word on some of the other systems (specifically Malifaux in my case)?

Yeah, I feel bad asking but this is exactly where I'm at . I'm sure we'll see them soon, and I'd prefer them to be more polished/finalized, anyway.

Well of course. That said the actual event moved up a month and the tickets go on sale in 2 weeks. And it's a lot of prep for a cohesive army to be done right

Additionally a schedule would be good to see to before everything goes live. I'm sorely tempted to do something other than 40k this year for either Thursday or Friday

144 events entered today. About 100 more to go. Preview cart goes live on the 14th. There will not be any need to setup an account ahead of time. All you have to is enter your First Name, Last Name and email address when registering. You will also be able to add 'guests' and purchase badges, tickets and the like for others. Day badges will be available. We are also compiling a few event 'tracks' that will allow you to register for multiple events at once. Tracks will only be available to attendees purchasing a full Weekend Badge.

Guys, hang tight it is all in the works, as Matthias has indicated the full web cart will be ready for public viewing prior to the cart going live on the 24th. We have @300 event items for AdeptiCon 2015, a new venue, a new registration system, and web cart backend to take into account. Also keep in mind, previous years, for most of our events we have not published "rules" prior to the web cart going live but felt this year given the changes, for some events, it was warranted. All good things … in time. : )

Not to be snarky but we had an extra month the previous years that we don't have this year since it's in March Also I think I'm being very good since we're 2-3 weeks from when you originally said TT rules were coming that week

That said I'm sure we all understand that there is a huge amount of work going on. We're just being impatient and excited gamers.

Preview cart going live on the 14th sounds great! I don't remember there being something like that previously, should make it much easier for me to plan the events I'd like to register for

March has taken me by surprise too, but I think I'll be ready!

Event Schedule Now Available! Registration Opens Monday, November 24th!

We are busy putting the final touches on the schedule for AdeptiCon 2015 and it is shaping up to be another fantastic year!

It is impossible to cover everything in this update, so head on over to the AdeptiCon 2015 Webcart and see what events we have in store for you! The webcart is about 80% complete at this time. Please be aware that event days, event times and descriptions are all subject to change. A handful of new events will be added before registration begins – but this should give you a good starting point to begin planning your weekend!

When searching for events, make sure to use the Advanced Search feature in the Search for Events section to find specific events or to browse by a specific day.

Registration will begin on Monday, November 24th at 8PM CST. Last year, our most popular events sold out within hours, so act quickly to reserve your spot in the events of your choice!

And before you ask! I have a rough draft of the Warhammer 40K Team Tournament rules on my computer. Now that the reg cart is out of my hair, I'll polish them up this weekend and get it out.

For the 40k championship tournament last year there was a list of acceptable forge world units, do you mind doing that again this year?

Looking at the champion rules does this mean forgeworld list are allowed?

The full list of current rules for all IA units is now here in a google doc:

I think individual Adepticon events are just going to specify when they DON'T allow a given IA unit (although Matthias can correct me if I'm wrong).

yakface's 40K rule #1: Although the rules allow you to use modeling to your advantage, how badly do you need to win your toy soldier games?
    yakface's 40K rule #2: Friends don't let friends start a MEQ army.
yakface's 40K rule #3: Codex does not ALWAYS trump the rulebook, so please don't say that!
