Make it ruined. Something like old building from before war of Vengeance age, abandoned because goblin wars and volcanic activity(same time was destroyed underway)

Well its about time I put my idea up before it gets used by someone. Though it might be a bit close to your idea Vik.

It's about time I did an Ork airship, so here comes "Da Indy Burga!" With Mek scratchin' his head, and Grots running for there lives.

It's OK Vik, I'm not planning on a bullet-shaped rocket, or a moonscape If that is indeed the way I go rather than the daemon-forge, it'll be a long, thin old-skool rocket in several pieces, useful as linear terrain, possibly even having fallen over at the launch pad itself.
I kind of prefer the daemon-bonding gone messy idea, but in my head that's starting to get rather complex, with multiple lighting effects, and lots of items/characters caught in mid-destruction. If I can't calm that down a bit then it'll take me far too long to complete it
You'll all have started yours before I've decided on an idea anyway, so I'll make sure it's not derivative of anyone's work - Cam's sounds likea closer match for my rocket - and the 'Indy Burga' sounds like a cooler idea than a plain ol' rocket ship

haha.... some amazing ideas coming through here..... I am beginning to feel I am going to have to "flesh out" my idea a bit more.... stick witht he original building plan.... but add a little bit more of the accident itself.... HHHHmmmmmm......

Ok, new idea in place, one that's got my attention. Diorama of a 'steampunk' road accident. with a three-wheeler car having knocked over an automaton. Will start digging for bits this afternoon.

A one-way street in the rough area of mek-town, construction site one side, couple of buildings (possibly a bordello) and an alleyway on the other. A car has hit an automaton, a police bike has just turned up, and there's a couple of bystanders, both human and mek.

Started on a couple of the automatons, I'll probably put some wips up on my thread later.

Have a couple of ideas for the car. One I'm not sure is legal as it means re-purposing this:



It was originally going to be a buggy for my grots, but as you can see it has been partially built, so not sure if I can use it legally in the comp.

@Monkeytroll--looks like a pretty awesome idea...i'm guessing the "road" is staying flat this time around and not moebius looping...

leaning more and more towards stealing the idea for an ork rocket falling off the launch pad, as i'm not sure what tank i want to give up for this contest...although i guess it is technically possible to make a piece that would allow the tank to be removed (and therefore still playable...

looking forward to seeing some progress from everyone (have been daydreaming about what GrimDork is going to do with this contest, because i can see a lot of "accidents" with Mars Attacks...also have noticed a few people (hk1x1, Snrub, Theophony, SkalkBloodaxe, and xXWeaponPrimeXx) whose work i admired haven't been competing recently...probably don't pay enough attention to their own threads to see what's going on with them, but in case they are lurking: come back. we miss you.

and mentioning lurkers: can't wait to see Vic's "classic" idea...
