Really digging Sephea. The first freebie I've been excited about.

I guess I'm just a tad cranky that I'm still waiting on my wave to ship. They did send out my freebies with an advert for the new kickstarter which arrived in my mailbox the day the new kickstarter went live. 14 awsome minis! However I will wait to buy TTGG2 retail.

I can wholly understand the sentiment, it's never cool to be waiting for something, without any word on what's what, while they're holding up their hands for the next one.

To be fair, virginity meaning never having had sex is a new concept. The original virgins (who worshiped Virgo) were sexually EMPOWERED women who could take any lover they wanted as part of their worship. The Christians later wiped them out and claimed the power of the word for their particular faith to assist in conversion. That meaning of the word drastically changes original dogma, and the meaning/ appearance of this mini.

The more you know!

It's not a combatant. It's an executioner. It looks like it's leaning on its executioner's axe. The butt sticking out is just a bit of a casual leaning pose added in with some artistic titillation.

Complaining about the over-sexualization of women in any capacity in any of this company's campaigns seems a bit forced.

Read up on History and ever heard of the Virgin Mother? The whole Virgin concept is a big thing in Catholic lore.

Maybe, maybe the idea here at least as much about showing no mortal man could be the father, and it really was God who was the father, you know.

Hmm which originals are you talking about - the Vestal Virgins were relatively powerful but in a very male dominated society - women of Rome could and did have power but usually expressed through compliant or co-operative husbands, brothers, lovers etc.

The Vestil Virgins could be burried alive if found to have lovers - they could however do exactly what they wanted when they fnished their term in office - 30 years IIRC and usually married.

Or are you talking about a different Sect / Cult?

Didn't Nero sleep with loads of them?

There were loads of powerful women in Rome Livia, Cleopatra, Agrippina to name a few.

I hate all of their mascots so far, so I said it should be a woman, or a woman with a pet, not another animal.

The Void

Here's the digest version of the Q&A going on in the Herald forum. Seems you lot make up most of the questions

"Can people "piggyback" on other people's pledges to save on shipping? ie 2x Lieutenant, Lieutenant + Captain, etc?"
No.
"Can people pledge a buck now and upgrade to a higher tier pledge later in the PM?" "Will there be a Paypal option?" "How long will it be open?"
They will be able to upgrade while the Paypal option is open (it will be open towards the end of the campaign, and will stay open only for a limited time), but in the PM, they will only be able to add new minis, not jump up to other Pledge Levels.
However, pledging outside the KS campaign saves us the KS fee, but deprives backers of more stretch goals so it's a tricky balancing act...
"Is there any kind of reasoning between the stretch goals? "
Yes.
"They seem completely random."
Not quite.
"Wouldn't building up on the basic troopers then going after the stranger and rarer minis make more sense?"
It might for some. But that is not necessarily what most people want and, globally, the way the campaign is trending, all the basic troopers should end up unlocked.
"A big request from several folks is they'd like non-human sized models to be given a scale, such as the Spider Mother, Centaurs, Avatar of Shaah, etc."
Done! See bottom of Update #4: http://bit.ly/TGG2-04
"Follow up, people want to know if they'll be able to purchase more of the freebies as add ons. I figured that would be the case like it was for TGG1, but wanted to get confirmation."
Yes, all Freebies will also be available for selection as add-ons.

I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn
Lemme at least leave a good hoof beat they'll remember loud and long

I was thinking on 2 possible ways to use them :
- Fast Attack : some kind of scout with the n°1 freebie, with a deep strike rule, low armor saving but rules about avoiding damages
- Elites/QG as bodyguards

As for the Kight of the Chalice, rather than Celestian, I think I will make some kind of Terminator Sister Squad, this will be just awesome!

Not from SoB codex I agree.

But when you check the lore of the SoB, they seems a lot to be like an unstopable faithfull army, what is better to incarnate unstopable power than a Terminator squad?

For most part, yes the SM rules of Terminators could aply, I would just change the special rules, to fit something more closer to SoB spirit.

Basically with the current SoB army you don't really have differences between units (at least it is my point of view). I think if we have the chance to see a new SoB codex, it is very likely that we will see more specialized units.
