I'm working on a couple of the trukks atm, then prolly more boys. I have lootas coming soon! I'm going to use the spare bits to convert some boyz to tankbustas.



I've added a few bits since this pic, mostly a radiator thing (which it was missing) and I'm trying to sort how to put the ram back on.

I'm about to start weathering this bad boy up now - my fave part.



I also went up to one of the FLGS semi-near my house Saturday with Playboy (my #2 son) and picked up a canoptek spyder for him and an Ork Mek for me (since GW is *always* out). I was very very tempted to pick up a new trukk, but decided to wait. I may get a Gorkanaut for my birthday anyway. Also got a display cabinet at the Ikea, so hopefully I'll have my minis under better storage and lighting soon.

Yeah, I love weathering too. Shame really that my KSons don't have any. I really like those little coloured spikes on the trukk. Hard to notice, but it gives it character.

Nice work on the checks, and the bike is boss!

Going to do my best to get these guys finished this weekend!

Going from Left to right:

Trukk 3 - has chipping fluid on, waiting for colour then weathering
Trukk 2 - has been chipped, needs crew finished and a bit of weathering powder on wheels
Trukk 1 - needs weathering (I didn't use chipping fluid on it, going to use painted dents and powders as I'm curious as to differences in look from other style of weathering)

Love those trukks, they definitely look orky (something a group of trukks tends not to).

Those trukks are stunning as is, really great work.

I had a few bits fall off lol so I still need to glue those back on >< otherwise though they're done and off to work on my Tankbustas I go! (Considering how many tanks will likely be in 8th I may need to invest heavily in that unit!)

This is my test scheme dude, going for a more pirate look, tho only a few have the hats (I'm trying to spread them out through the whole army).

tried to give him a power axe - didn't exactly turn out but still looks interesting at least I think

Great job on the trucks. Nice and grubby.

Something you can try on that axe is to add some fine white lines down the centre of those light blue lines and maybe some spreading out from those lines. May give it more intensity and electro-looking. Is a good start.

Welp, I'm back from vacation

my #2 son and I drove from GA to WA to visit my sister (and also to see a lot of the states, kinda a graduation present to him). He got to see a lot of his relatives on the west coast that we'd not seen since we moved to the east coast, so it was all cool.

I also got a lot of lovely reference pictures for my terrain etc (as well as the usual vacation ones).

And, more on point for these forums, this is what was waiting for me when I got back home (Except a LOT of Malifaux guild models I bought from Dez, which are still unpainted sadly as they arrived just about before I had to leave)

Sounds like a good vacation!

Here is my ork Mek WIP shot, he's a bit further along but I'm waiting for bases to dry before I take a pic of him and the Tankbustas

Yay my bases are dry! Finished the Ork Mek and Tankbustas (converted ones) and put them on ocean/sea bases, in keeping with my overall Orky pirate theme.

Did a good bit more work on the Ork Mek really than the Tankbustas (painting) as he's meant to be more of a character. I really really need to get a lot more of my boys painted up so that'll probably be my next project.





Anyway, great to be back into the swing of things again!

Nice objective markers. Good variety and details.

Those Obj. markers are great! I especially like the dynamic fluid on the sewage/slime one

Objective markers are nicely done . Great painting on the dice, but could better align the pips

Oh those are very cool, I wish I had enough bits to do something cool like that. I will probably cop out and get the GW ones
