Hello everyone! Just got my new models and I want to share some of my work and experience with you.
I'm a big fun of chaos and orkz armies for the greatest convertion opportunity it provides.
But I really like tau as a faction with gigant robots. So I turned on a Bloody Skull Big Mek inside me and started my greatest project ever.

I used gargoyle from Chaos vehicle upgrade and chaos marine backpack parts for more "Chaotic" appearance =)

There is a lot of conversion potential here!

Yea. When Farsight's expedition retreated from Arthas Moloch after ethereal death, one group of his army was surrounded by orks and has no way for evacuation and all communications was jammed by raging warp forces unleashed by opening portal. So this brave warriors fights day by day without any chance to rest from battle.
When the ammunition came to an end tau soldiers had to engage in melee without any chance of success. Fighting with the demons and orcs, they gradually became mad in the ocean of rage. A few of them could survive and it was only the strongest ones. When the portal closed and the battle ends, with rage overflowing their mids tau found themselves on the field surrounded by thousands of corpses. Doesn't more suppressed evacuation lighthouse came into force and was soon adopted by one of the Tau Empire.transport ships passing by the system.
To their horror on board went crazy bloodthirsty warriors who quickly took control of the ship.
Now they have devoted themselves to piracy and killing. Crazy marauders who only want to satisfy the new desire for them - to present more skulls to their new Lord.

Interested to see how this concept develops.

Very cool, lots of conversion potential an fun indeed. The first models look neat !

love the "tau gone bad" idea!
the sniper drone...just a suggestion...i love the chaos muzzle...but i would turn the antenna around so that the whole sniper barrel is facing backwards and the gargoyle muzzle is facing forwards...thus giving the whole apparition a sort of bullpop design...the backwards facing face makes otherwise little sense to me...

also, the horned commander is ace...where do these horns come from?

as for the stormsurge... avoid the "stuck something on look" at all costs, with your furred firewarriors you showed how tau could be way more menacing looking...also...when the tau turned to khorne...will they be more CC orientated?...i would suggest adding CC weapons thus...

his horns is a claws from genestealer's hand.
CC squad is still lost somewhere in the warp (or post office) it's gonna be 5 mans without helmets dashing forward with bonding knifes

and yes, this head is pretty massive. But this commander wears Iridium suit so i suppose it isn't problem

Brutal looking commander indeed, very interesting head. Do you plan on giving him a melee weapon ? Since he apparently decapitated some dudes.

The Tau commander looks very nice. I think you should remove the big armour thingy.

probably no. I suppose he can decapitate anyone by smashing smones neck on his sharp armor=)

a little update. I've got a tonn of work. so it stopped my army progress. GhostKill for my Khorny dudes

Cool idea. Ever think about adding some Tyranid bits as well? Big claws, fangs, and boneswords might be a cool addition

I always suspected that whole "low-warp-presence" spiel was just a front for Tau chaos activity

Seriously though, superb conversions/kitbashes. A good sense of movement in the suits especially.

Could I ask what kit these chopped heads are from?:

I thought about that, but im trying to avoid "warp mutations". I want all this stuff looks like some sort of war trophy. (Ghostkill is exeption, this one will be posessed suit)

It was a long time since I have added new photos of my army.

I am wowed by nearly everything here, but that base just blows me away. I am a big fan of bases, and normally spend hours (sometimes more than on the minis themselves) on bases. Yours, though, are both fantastically simple and yet amazing. Great work.
