The sonic upgrade grade weapon pack does fit calth marines so i'd assume they fit prospero and tacticals as well.
There is also a pack of plauge marines on the gw site. Admittadly resin hut only £25.50 for 7. I was sure they had a plastic box at one stage.(not the mono pose but multipart. Strange.)

I built some noise mariens from the calth guys for a Path to Glory Campaign. This combo looks nice.

VeteranNoob answered this a few pages back - to me
It's free, at least for Death Guard, World Eaters and Emperor's Children - as we have to pay a Mark tax already. Not too sure about the other Legions.

Well, thankfully the Legion detachment rules literally make Cult Terminators for WE and DG at least (if you add all the Berserker and Plague Abilities - they're pretty much there apart from the +1 WS for Berserkers and the Poison/Blight Grenades for Plague).
Emperor's Children...I feel sorry for. I mean, they won the lottery on their formation at least but anyone with a 3.5 Sonic army pretty much is stuck with redundant counts-as bikes and Terminators ( FW at least got yo back for the dreads).

They are. The Table of Contents is on GW's website and explicitly lists all the Thousand Sons units including Magnus.
Hence why I didn't bother buying WoM in the end. Was only buying it for Thousand Sons rules, but Traitor Legions...so...I took that extra money I had and got the Scarab Occult Terminators and the Dice Automatically Appended Next Post: H.B.M.C. wrote: Platuan4th wrote:Or even if it's something that was in a previous version of a kit but not the new version. *glares at the updated Rubric entry with its lack of Aspriring Sorceror ability to swap stave for sword*

Yeah, that's gonna need a FAQ - I assume just ask your opponent. Most opponents would be straight ok with a swap to be fair and iirc it lists Power Swords on half the SM crap but no one bats an eye at them swapping for axes or other crazy gak.

After a couple of days I haven't cooled to these rules at all- they've lived up to my expectations and more
Night Lords seem very strong. Stealth on all VotLW helps so many units. Raptor troops and lots of 3+ jink bikes is both fluffy and effective. More static units like CSM squads and havocs could be decent too; they'd be very tough to shift if they go to ground in cover
Word Bearers... well at least they can still take marks. Possessed troops is an okay option for certain lists, and the models are cool. Some handy relics
I don't know why people don't like Iron Warriors- a CAD has no tax units at all. Obliterator troops are good, and if you still want CSM guys so your list isn't just vehicles and oblits you can take them as havocs

I've had a horrible thought...
I'm thinking of using an Alpha Legion CAD lead by a sorcerer summoning horrors with a renegade knight ... as far as I know I'll need the chaos codex, Traitor Legions, Traitor's Hate (knight) AND Wrath of Magnus (horrors) to play it. Ouch.

Hi All,
(I'm a first time poster, so please bear with me)
For the EC - does the 6+ FNP which goes up to 4+FNP with the icon apply to other forms of FNP? For example, I see there's a Slaanesh discipline spell which fives 4 FNP, so would this combine with the 6+ FNP to give a 3+FNP?
Probably unlikely, I know, but I thought I'd check (I'm guessing the 6+FNP rule probably specifically sates that it only works with the icon...?)
Thanks
Mallory.

My question is why? Does this make your army fluffy? I don't know Chaos so I can't say if this makes a fun fluffy list or someone who is cherry picking the best units out of each book.

Meh. I thought the box was pretty awesome as you get tons of extra unique pieces for your bits box. Yeah, it kinda sucks that you dont get all the options for 3 separate exalted sorcs, but I plan on using the other two as regular sorcs for either rubrics, just to have some unique looks, or as maybe low level HQ models. Either way, I love the one with his hands back and the demon head looking like he's casting.

I have some Questions for Traitors Legion: Are all the CSM supplement rules in this single book? I know all the WoM rules are (except the Daemon faction stuff), but are the Black Legion, Traitors Hate & Crimson slaughter rules in there as well? It looks like at least BL is If so, it looks like a CSM player could get only the Codex and Traitors Legion book and have 99% of all CSM faction rules. And have plenty of great options too. This bodes well for GW overall, if sad for players who have bought the other books already

I think they were just trying to justify the price increase to themselves.
Yes, it was annoying when your codex/army book fell apart from too much flicking back and forth, but ~£10 price increase annoying? And look on the bright side, when the rules pages fell out you could take them with you without also having to bring the fluff pages along!

Iirc from earlier conversation...
We're missing one BL formation - not sure if their artefacts are copied over or not.
Crimson Slaughter is not in Traitor Legions - they're not one of the original 9 - so nothing in here for them.
Traitors Hate is MOSTLY there - apart from the rules for Renegade Knights and the Traitor's Hate Black Crusade detachment.

I was, because hardback. No other reason required. I find them more practical and they feel and look better. I reserve softbacks for small books like the small daemon dex or the small rulebook, where I only use them to literally flip to some page for one reference and close it again. With the codex for my army I spend way more time in the book and softbacks don't keep the page on their own, plus I prefer the tactile experience. And I keep them lined up in a book shelf and hardback looks way better there imho, also easier to get out.

Not ALL of the rules, but 99%. Crimson Slaughter isn't in the book at all. Black Legion is in in its entirety although there seems to be a problem with the tormented formation in the review copy. Might require an errata.
Traitor's Hate is all in here, except for the Black Crusade Detachment and the renegade knight. Though I think the only people who would still use a black crusade are Crimson Slaughter players.
It's the CS equivalent of the legion decurions and their passive is gaining fear and a different possessed table.
Most players will be happy with just TL and the dex.

I saw someone mention needing a whole bunch of books to play things like Magnus, but no book is needed for Magnus. He comes with rules in the box. Skip whichever books you'd like, he's fully playable out of the box (except psychic powers). Not sure if that helps, but I assume the rubrics are the same way. And tzaangors. I realize you miss out on a bunch of artifacts and magic, but since a bunch of that stuff will hit next week...wrath of Magnus is pretty much only worth getting if you're a daemon player (needless to say, I bought it).

I think, more precisely, it's the "Favoured of Tzeentch" rule that is awkward as heck. The way that's written, in combination with the unit maximums, makes that a massively expensive proposition to attain with most of the formations, let alone having much useful left over for the rest of the detachment.
