That's the strange thing about it: you're right it needs to be somewhere in that price range but that would have been a pretty good deal for one set of each already.
Two each? I can't see them discounting it by that much, not even "new GW™".

Yeah, the models are 107€. I can't see the game selling for 60€, let alone 60$. I more suspect 70-80 €

Compare the savings on, say, the four-character WQST expansion boxes to most other bundles. Seems they're more prepared to discount those ludicrously expensive single character sprues than they are to discount whole units.

Actually, $65 is retail for one of each of those units. Not really much of a deal at all at that rate. $100 is pushing the boundary of reasonable by a ways.
Either way, the price point will likely make or break this game, judging by a lot of comments I am reading.
Start collecting price would be good anything less than that would be great. I am very curious how the rules of this will turn out. The little card towers are unfortunately exactly what I was expecting. I imagine people will make their own if this turns out to be good.

which is why my guess would be more like €65/USD80.
But again, I hope I turn out to be hopelessly mistaken
I don't understand why people think they're "saving" money on this game. Okay yes, if you actually believe that the MSRP of Dark Eldar is worth it and you plan on actually paying MSRP for such models.. sure. However, that also means you're one of the only people in the world that think so.
Hellions and Reavers certainly are no where near worth what GW charges compared to the second hand market and their relative worth on the battlefield.
GW says Mutilators are worth 60$ but you can't even sell them as buy 1 get 2 free!

Haven't played the mess that is 40k in years. I do like some of the models, though. Something like hellions, nicely detailed infantry on jet boards, 5 strong, for €23? That's actually a perfectly fair price and whether they suck on the tabletop or not doesn't really enter into that judgement, tbh. Reavers are less of a steal but still, especially with a good discount this really will be quite a bit of bang for your buck.
... Just maybe not as the latest and greatest netlist, but that's not the only way to judge models
The terrain could probably be made to look better with a coat or two of something... maybe some kind of mix of acrylic caulk, PVA, water, and acrylic house paint? Then paint on top of that? But it's not just the cheap cardboard that's an issue; it's the lack of context for this stuff on the battlefield. Why are all the spire-tops at the same height? Aren't there some taller buildings that would represent bigger obstacles at the height the game takes place at? Why can't you just increase your own altitude slightly to fly over any given spire? Etc.
Dr Mathias wrote: I may have missed it, but has there been any information released about the size of the tabletop/play area?
Not that I have seen. I've been scouring for it since I am planning on making a hazy, black/purple/blueish overhead view of what I imagine to be a bed of needles in a webway with photoshop to be printed on dye sublimated neoprene. But don't want to start until I know at least recommended size of play area.
For $60-$80, this would make a hell of a BFG fleet for Dark Eldar players, with some minor converting.
I don't know what you would do with all the extra pilots and hellions... Maybe give them weapon arms and adjust their weird poses into counts-as harlequins?
Mhm, jetbikes...tasty jetbikes. If this is cheap I'll get it just because. If it's as nice and painless to play as Gorechosen with boardgame/tabletop newbies that'd be great. I just had my first X-Wing game, too, so a game that might be similiar and maybe allows to hack in Assault Marines? Yes!
PS: Is this GW's yellow phase? Reavers, "Orruks", Orks...and I don't even know how to get paint a non-gritty yellow. How are the Orruks done, for example. I just need the paint list. A few cheery bright models to mix up my collection would be nice.
Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

Paint it over a Light Grey Under Coat has worked best for me.

Watch Duncan's painting yellow over black video on warhammer tv and invest in averland sunset, yriel yellow and flashgitz yellow.
Here's the link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_XqLR2orls I did my BB orcs using those and I wouldn't have dreamed of touching yellow before this.
Back on topic, I almost hope this is more than $80 so I can feel good about skipping it.
I felt good about skipping Lost Patrol and Gorechosen (and the Knight and flyer games but because I just didn't want those big models).

I've never been interested in Dark Eldar as an army before, but if this set is cheap enough I might just get it. Problem is, once I buy something small for an army, it usually wants to get bigger. Next thing you know, I'll have like 2500 points of DE models and wonder where the hell they all came from.
My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700
