The kit has been shown with and without Jump Packs, so presume the options included

Yes. It's March, and we can declare that there is no room whatsoever for Fires of Cyraxus.

It was hyperbole. I know it's only march, but when the book was already delayed an entire year since it was supposed to be out early last year. It doesn't seem like they are very serious about it.

Or they're holding it back because of things changing.

Besides, it's not really like the game needs more Tau. Don't get me wrong, I understand that FW is under a separate schedule, but even they should realize that the game could use other things.

They announced the damn book nearly a year ago, and we've heard nothing since. The game needs more than just Spacemarinespacemarinespacemarine. And half the book is Mechanicus. Don't forget that.

Just give us something. Throw together a teaser trailer with some random art and give us a vague date of "Summer 2017" or "Winter 2018". Not silence and an endless horde of power armor.

Has anyone actually approached Forgeworld with a question about it?

The pragmatic business side of things would make me think 30K stuff probably outsells most Tau, Tyranid, etc. purchases from FW so they're smart to concentrate on the booming market.

Ironically, there's also Space Marines in Fires of Cyraxus.

They took everyone off Fires of Cyraxus to finish Inferno (which had a hell of a lot longer than a year between it being announced and released btw). If I remember correctly, it wasn't far off being done at that point. So it shouldn't be too much longer.

I heard that the delay on the Moritats was caused by a fire at the studio. They still managed to get the Moritats ready for release, but sadly the fire claimed every printed copy of Fires of Cyraxus, resulting in a whole new print run needing to be commissioned (but only after the 2nd and 3rd print run of Inferno).

Could Fires of Cyraxus be delayed due to 8th edition? That'd be a good thing for us, right... would be terrible to have it get released and immediately be out of date.

I don't even care if there are Red Scorpions. The presence of Marines may motivate FW to get it done faster.

As much as I hate to say it, at that moment they appear to be pretty underwhelming.

It sucks because we got a cool dread, primarch, and heads, but this seems like it might be a repeat of the IW torsos which also look like knock offs. I there are elements I like but I was expecting something more like this.



Maybe they'll look better with a paint, or maybe they just chose the ugly duckling on the bunch to photograph but we'll see.

Perhaps when we see them painted? Could be the sculpt has their palette in mind, and really works with the largely single colour?

I want to like the moritats but I hate those big ammo feeds / cables on the pistols, look dreadful and spoil the gunslinger image completely. Really like the terminators, though.

They definitely look better painted, just something seems off maybe it the helmet, but it might grow oonme by the time they're out and if not its easy to do a headswap.
